That's just not possible in this day and age
They don't think it doesn't look good.

There was a reason they released no footage of NBA Live 2007 besides that Sonics/Pistons fake video. They knew it was crap.

And in the same vein, there was a reason they did release the Elite 11 demo. That game was even shipped. Right until hard8times dropped a bomb on them.

If they thought that the Steve Nash video was trash, it wouldn't have gotten the green light to be released. Trust me.

Because we are too close to the writing (or product in this case). We need to take a stepback, wait for a month or two, then look at it again or send it out for feedback/get it cleaned up by a professional editor because that's what editors are for.

From what I've seen at EA continually over the years, they don't send out or heed any feedback, whatsoever. So when they do get feedback (reviews) and they end up negative, they end up puzzled because they still believe what they wrote (or created) is a good product, when that is clearly not the case.
Agreed.

This is the same team that shuts the community out and the guys that they do bring in are handpicked yes-men.

They're sitting there right now thinking they have a gem on their hands. I guarantee it.

And maybe they do. It just doesn't look like it based on what they have shown us.

KDRE, I'm not saying they're right in their thinking. Just looking at it from their POV.

Elite simply wasn't finished. That's why it was scrapped. If EA says this game is done and ready to play then this is the best we are gonna get. This is a defining moment if EA is to shut up all the cynics out there. They must feel its good enough to be a viable option. I'm hoping we are all surprised and Live turns out just fine

Their point of view Blows and this has been known for years. If multiple cancellations don't tell you that then I dont know what else will.

Then this dude is going to say we're wrong for judging the game off of what they showed us?

Man miss me with that garbage.

Thats not why

They already knew they couldnt compete and Mike Wang told them not to do it and they refused to listen.

Had I not gone to Venice and you didnt see Boozer jumping from the FT line and how ugly it was, then hardtimes8 with that video they wouldve sold it to you. One of the guys here even had the game

They released an NCAA basketball game broken and went dark on the people who bought it, and they also sold Live 07 which was also glitch mania

The guy who posted that tweet in here has an agenda.

The Live gameplay designer who said that was talking about Madden videos. Not Live.

But I'll let him tell it..

From what Im seeing and hearing the AI reacts the same way in both games

That said, im def. not going after any dev but I would hope none of them are really tweeting that kind of stuff to fans after they presented them with said audio and visuals.

And you're criticizing the people that DON'T like the way the trailer looked. And you're "basically" saying it's going to be good based on a trailer and marketing buzzwords. Yeah, that apparently IS how it works.

i don't care if ppl didn't like the trailer. "looked better than I expected" because I wasn't expecting much. expected them to put out a game and improve in live 15. don't know what high expectations some of you had.

No, it's the LEAST likely thing they did because it IS a STUPID idea. You agree with that. You're basically calling them complete idiots if you really think they did that.

You dont expect much and you'll never get much

I definitely didn't expect to see stuff like Deron having long gorilla arms and old legacy issues popping up like flowers in the spring...

Actually I did, but even with Live 06 it looked like nex gen even though it was robotic. This here looks like Live 10.5, totally wasn't expecting that.

Secondly, can you dribble while moving or is it just stationary dribbling again like Live 10's size ups? Looked a bit better in that E3 tech demo.
Yes, you can do some moves while moving. But there's a cost. I'll just say that.

I've already seen some of it to be honest but it doesn't appear to be better that what im currently seeing from 2k's dribble stick. That's my opinion of course but I believe it to be true from what I see so far.

THIS kind of post is a prime example of just damned good common sense! If you're going to babble to the press and hype up your game, then don't try to tell people to not believe what they see. You want people to believe what you say less than what they see? FOH.

Huh!? So I'll buy a Kia, not because I like Kias but because of the competition it creates with Mercedes

Really?

I just wanted to say I went back and read the whole tweet conversation, and that was def. the Live dev who said that, not the Madden dev... im sorry but I agree with what Sundown was quoted as saying the Boilerbuzz's above post.
