🔹 Fields Steps Up Again – 278 passing yards, 1 touchdown. He spread the ball, kept the 49ers' defense guessing, and delivered when it mattered. D.J. Moore continued his postseason dominance with 17 catches, 126 yards, and a touchdown.

The Super Bowl.

The Chicago Bears vs. Jacksonville Jaguars for the Lombardi Trophy.

Trevor Lawrence. Travis Etienne. Evan Engram. Josh Allen. A Jaguars team that just dismantled the Broncos in the AFC Championship.

Can Carl McDowell cement his legacy with one more legendary performance? Will Fields lead the Bears to their first Super Bowl title since 1985? And can Chicago’s dominant defense step up one final time to bring the championship back to the Windy City?

What’s Next?
The Lombardi Trophy is coming back to Chicago.

After a historic season, a dominant playoff run, and a legendary Super Bowl performance, the question now is: what’s next for the 47-year-old rookie Carl McDowell?

Does he walk away on top, forever remembered as the greatest one-year wonder in NFL history? Or does he come back and do the impossible again?

One thing’s for certain—the Chicago Bears are Super Bowl Champions.

The journey may be over for now, but the legend of this team will live on forever.

Bear Down.

Final Episode: Wrapping Up a Legendary Season
The Chicago Bears are Super Bowl Champions, and the journey from a 0-3 start to hoisting the Lombardi Trophy has been nothing short of legendary. This team shattered expectations, broke records, and created moments that will be remembered forever.

📺 Final Recap Video: (Embed your season montage/highlight video here, showing the biggest plays, emotional moments, and Super Bowl celebration and TikToks.)

Final Reflections on the Season:
🟠 Justin Fields Proved He’s The Guy – Fields stepped up in every way, guiding the Bears with his arm and his legs, proving that he can lead this franchise to sustained success. His chemistry with D.J. Moore became elite, and his playoff run showed that Chicago has a quarterback who can win on the biggest stage.

🟠 Carl McDowell’s Storybook Season – A 47-year-old rookie who went from tryout longshot to NFL MVP? It sounds impossible, but McDowell made it real. Breaking Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record, winning Super Bowl MVP, and carrying the Bears through the playoffs, he gave us one of the greatest individual seasons in sports history. Will he be back for another season? That’s the biggest question of the offseason.

🟠 D.J. Moore’s Record-Breaking Year – Moore became a true No. 1 wide receiver, making play after play when it mattered most, and setting Super Bowl records with 18 receptions and 331 yards.

🟠 A Defense That Stepped Up – Led by Tremaine Edmunds, Jaquan Brisker, Jaylon Johnson, and Montez Sweat, the Bears' defense overcame adversity, forced crucial turnovers, and delivered in big moments.

What’s Next?
🏆 Can the Bears run it back?
🏆 Will Carl McDowell return for another season?
🏆 How will the team look next year?

The offseason is coming, and with it, new challenges and new opportunities. Will Chicago build a dynasty? Or was this a one-year miracle?

No matter what happens next, one thing is certain:

The 2024 Chicago Bears will go down in history.

This has been Hard Knocks: The Bear Down Edition.

Season Complete.

Bear Down.

Lots of good conference action highlighted week 8.

UGA had probably the biggest win, the #3 Bulldogs won the Game of the Week by the score of 39 - 36 over Texas A&M. This was a great, evenly matched game, but UGA dominated the final frame, scoring 22 points in the 4th quarter to get the win. Star sophomore QB Jaden Rashada had a great game, throwing for 409 yards, 5 TDs to 1 INT and completing 24/39. Their legendary WR London Humphreys made play after play, with 5 catches for 159 yards and 4 TDs, becoming the career TD reception leader in school history, breaking Terrence Edwards' record set back in 2002.

As usual the week saw several major upsets. #4 Boston College and #5 Alabama both lost to unranked conference foes in Louisville and Arkansas, respectively.

The rest of the Top 25 Scores can be found below.

The National Defensive Player of the Week is Joe Shimko from Bowling Green. He had 7 tackles, 3 sacks and 1 forced fumble in their 38-17 win over Eastern Michigan.

The National Offensive Player of the Week was Lond Humphreys from Georgia.

The Falcons unleashed their ground game, running all over Eastern Michigan to the tune of 293 yards in a 38-17 MAC victory. Bowling Green ran for over 7 yards a carry and their defense limited the EMU passing game to less than 200 yards. The Falcons controlled this one throughout, though EMU did make things interesting at one point in the late third quarter after a 49 yard FG and then a Phillip Rush fumble and EMU recovery set the Eagles up with another quick TD to bring them within 7, but the Falcons controlled the whole 4 quarter to run away with this one.

The Falcons will be kicking themselves over this one, should they miss out on a conference championship by a game, as they thoroughly out-played NIU, but couldn't finish the job, losing at home by the score of 20-17.

The BG running game continued to dominate, rushing for nearly 200 yards, but the offense repeatedly went cold in the red zone, twice having to settle for field goals. Phillip Rush and the BG passing game never found a good rhythm, as the SR finished with just over 50% passing, 200 yards, 0 TDs and 1 Int.

NIU Freshman QB deserves a purple heart after this game. With an offensive line missing 3 starters he was routinely harassed, taking 5 sacks and hit way more than that, but he completed 24/31 for 264 yards.

For NIU, they get a much needed bye week next week, hopefully with a chance to recover from some tough injury luck.

Bowling Green will need to recover from this one quickly as they have another tough MAC matchup next week, hosting Easter Michigan.

The Falcons looks to extend their winning streak to 3 games as they hose the Northern Illinois Huskies on Saturday. NIU comes in struggling, they're 1-5 (0-2 in MAC) and have lost 3 straight. And to make matters worse, they have been hit hard by injuries. One of their best WRs, Cam Thompson, is out and they'll be down 3 starters on the offensive line. The Falcons need to look at this week as an opportunity to really get on a roll and make the rest of the conference aware that they are fully back on track.

The latest Top 25 Rankings have been released. With last week's upsets there were several big moves. First, OSU's big win over Colorado moved them up to the #1 spot over Oregon, and Georgia has moved into the top 3. Boston College has moved into the Top 5 and Florida moved up six spots to #6 by beating Mizzou 28-14. Kentucky moved from 16 to 9 after beating Alabama, PSU dropped from 3 to 11 after losing to Utah. Finally, Texas, Michigan and Syracuse all fall out of the top 15 after losing.

This weeks doesn't offer a huge slate of ranked on ranked matchups, but there are a few bigs one. On thursday night we'll see the #10 Texas A&M Aggies visit Lexington to take on the #9 Kentucky Wildcats.

In a renewal of an old Big 12 Reivalry, the #13 Nebraska Cornhuskers take on the #14 Colorado Buffaloes in Boulder.

Chaos reigned during week 6 as an absurd 11 Top 25 Teams lost this week. And while some of those losses were to fellow Top 25 Teams, there were some major upsets. We also saw #11 Syracuse lose to unraked UVA and the #13 Michigan Wolverines lose to Oklahoma St.

Oklahoma shocked #7 Texas in the Red River shootout by the score of 13-7. But the biggest statement of the week came from the Georgia Bulldogs as they beat the #6 LSU Tigers 33-26, with CB Daniel Harris being the player of the game with his big pick 6 late to win it.

The offensive player of the week was Elic Ayomanor, WR - Clemson. In their 52-21 win @ FSU he had 14 receptions for 202 yards and 3 TDs.

The defensive player of the week was Alijah Williams, OLB - Bowling Green. In their 38-23 win over Ohio he had 9 tackles, 1 sack, 1 FF and 1 FR.

The Falcons opened MAC play looking like the team many thought they would like like all season. Gone was the plodding, erratic running game we saw against Louisville, instead it was replaced by a methodical machine capable of picking up 5 yards per carry and always threatening much more as BGSU took care of Ohio Thursday night by the score of 38-23.

Nakai Amachree, the Sophomore from Jackson, MI was the player of the game, rushing 21 times for 136 yards while also hauling in 5 receptions for 147 more yards.

QB Phillip Rush had his best game of the season, completing 74% of his passes for 357 yards and 3 TDs.

Ohio was led by Rickey Hunt Jr., the JR HB from Oklahoma City finished with 149 yards and a TD on 20 carries.

Bowling Green moves to 1-0 in MAC play, while Ohio falls to 2-2 in the MAC, 4-3 overall. Next week Ohio hops back out of conference play and takes a trip to Eugene, Oregon to face the top ranked Ducks, while the Falcons stay home and take on the Northern Illinois Huskies.

Bowling Green opens up MAC play this week with Thursday night MACtion against the Ohio Bobcats. BG comes off their first win of the season over UMASS, while Ohio is sitting at 4-2, already 2-1 in the MAC, and fresh off of a 23-10 win at Buffalo.

Ohio is currently bitten by the injury bug as they'll be missing starting Center Kam Wright, starting RT Jarian Shelby, DE Austin Mitchell, starting OLB Michael Molnar and starting CB Jalen Davey.

However, they're still a team to be reckoned with, they lead the MAC in total offense and Points per game with nearly 30. QB Callum Wither leads the MAC in passing yards and TDs with 14, and has only 1 interception. HB Rickey Hunt leads the conference in rush yards with 518 and is averaging just under 6 yards per carry. On the defensive side, CB Tony Mathis has been a ballhawk, with 3 interceptions on the year already.
