Looks very promising if they continue to improve on animation quality and take advantage of this new next gen hardware and improve on the graphical quality to be on par or even surpass 2k graphically.
I'm not sure what you find funny about my graphics comment.. I said live is no match for them atm.. but most of us here know that EA has more resources than VC and they can make a very visually stunning game if they made it a focus.
Woahh dont get me wrong.. but think about it.. i assume the would turn down the A.I in order to get highlights faster
This is pretty much the equivalent of the 2000 NBA Dunk contest when Jerry Stackhouse immediately followed Vince Carter's epic 360 windmill with a two hand 360 dunk.
Sorry EA...
More like a self-alley layup: "That was... interesting. But really?"

So what youre saying is they could make a game look as good/better than 2K but they just decided not to? Yet?
And I thought about it. Still makes no sense. Why would you turn your AI down for the trailer? Wouldn't you want to show that defenders react realistically to your crossovers but you still get pass them? I don't think anyone wants to see dumb defenders. That makes doing the moves no fun IMO.
can't tell nothing from a trailer, haven't played the game yet, just like what I see saw. far from a homer, i bought 2k10,11,13 and 13, not one of the live guys who refuse to play 2k. try again!
did I say you were a "live guy" who refused to play the other game? Stop using the other game as a crutch in this forum. You cant point out anything you dont like with this trailer for a series that got canceled for issues you are too scared to list.
If i served you dookey on a plate to eat, and going by your philosophy of "can't tell nothing from a trailer, haven't played the game yet" you would clearly eat that dookey, stating you cant see nothing wrong with it, until you tried it. knowing you arent supposed to eat fecal matter, and you can clearly see its dookey.
Curry having a seizure in front of Deron in this clip is something that is visually wrong... its spastic.. see how easy that was. Know what else is easy.. i like the clarity of the arena & court.
doing what I just did stating a like and dislike must be hard for you...

They did mention some sort of link with Synergy and AI months ago, not sure if/how this applies to the defensive side but this may or may not have been why they were so still.
It's hard to get solid opinion these days, too much fanboyism. But i will probly do what i do with pes and fifa, play one for 3 months and the other for 3 and so on
We can tell that Live will be herky jerky from the trailer. And yes, that will affect our experience of gameplay.
I was going to say the exact same thing, especially on the defensive end. Visually, looks pretty good, but from the player movement in the trailer, I would be a little worried.
The dribbling was smooth, looks like there will be some combinations that will lead to some deadly crossovers. The post animations on the Kobe scene were nice. Shooting animations look smooth. NO MORE SLOW MOTION ALLEY OOP lol.
The bad thing, DEFENSE. The defense were nonexistent on various plays. Lots of herky jerky/sliding type movements were happening during all of the crossover scenes. The Nash pick-n-roll play still annoys me, just alot of things wrong with that play.
I like what I saw, it reminds me of Live 10, and that can mean great things. It still looks like it needs lots of work, but this is the "3 year cycle." But as far as something to build on, this is pretty good.
*sigh* This is the exact reason why people were saying that they should have released something earlier, because after seeing 2K's Next Gen trailer. Nothing they put out will even cause a fart of hype. Such a shame, this was like Netflix taking over Blockbuster's market. Completely wiped them off the map.
Positives: The dribbling looked good. The shots look spot on, the animations looked better. Not bad. Wasn't as good as 2K's trailer, but not bad.
Negatives: That Steve Nash clip still made me hurl. The net physics are still lackluster, but not enough to take you out of the immersion. No, the PS2 like dunk animations where the fingers don't even connect on the rim do that for you. That last dunk was bleh.
Edit: Looking back at some of the dunks...there was 1 nice dunk, and that was the D-Wade dunk. Everything else was meh. It's like there was something missing from them. I think it was because I could only get a sense of ferocity from D-Wade's dunk. The others didn't have enough force IMO.
my sentiments exactly. Just on aesthetic appeal alone this game will not measure up to 2k but this is expected since EA has been gone for so long they have to start somewhere. Although you would think issues like the net physics would have been fixed since they had so long to work on it...
Shoes and lighting look next-gen rest of the game looks like it has still been left in current gen, Just being honest and I would be lying if I didn't.
