I agree 2k looks nice, and yes even better than Live in some ways. But to say anything about the relative guts of the two games based on these produced videos is a bit... reaching.
Give Live a chance... we all win if there are two successful developers out there!

Forgive me for not reading through the 450+ comments (so this has probably been expressed), but I've watched this multiple times trying to reconcile this trailer with what I thought were reasonable standards for next gen.
Everything is so rigid and disjointed. It's like the lower body, upper body, and head are captured separately, making for pretty realistic robots, but terrible basketball players.
Either that, or EA went to a park and got a bunch of old dudes to mo-cap for them because, at best, the base animations look like amateurs to mimic some signature moves (awkward and disjointed).
If this were a true first effort then I'd be less disappointed.

2k is way better, this being said I liked the video, I love the fact that live is back even though we already see things that have to be improved only in this short trailer. The graphics are all right, 2k trailer is literally amazing and that's why when just can't get too exicted about this one but at the end of the day everyone should be happy with the new way easports is approaching their basketball game, this game will be sick in 2-3 years.

I'm tired of 2ks cheese online. Maybe Live will actually require you to know the game of basketball. I think we can all. Agree, 2k has the worst online bugs and cheese play in the universe.
Can't wait play this game hope the gameplay is up to par..

looks better that I expected. crazy how many ppl have opinions on something they have not played. your minds were already made up before you saw the trailer. get out of that mindset . hate pollutes the mind!!!!!!!!!!1
graphics wise it is hard to be like to like the graphics after see 2k video but i do remember ppl liking the graphics before 2k showed their video...just what happens..i think until we see actual gameplay and not trailers its still hard to judge how its actually going to play plus to me i can judge better when the game is in my hands..not sure about everybody else

and to me it looks like Live 10, which really isn't that bad because I liked Live 10. Still reserving judgement though.

Looked just ok to me but there are three things really hurting this trailer...
1) Of course is 2k's trailer which hit yesterday and was really good.
2) This being Next Gen is a bit of a problem since you have problem number one....if this was current gen I think many would be more forgiving.
3) Well since they haven't put out a game in years you would thing that they have been working on it and it should be further along than what we're seeing.
Aside from all that they have something to build on to help them get back in the game as long as they are not going the 3 year plan route then change everything up by year 3....time will tell

Weird to say but if Live sells well, they'll make it even better next year and get more devs to focus on it. so think about that.
Wasn't blown away as I expected to be. Want Live but atm 2k has my $$$
