is it a bad time to ask for another nba street for next gen?

Just general overall reaction to this?

This looks so much like Live 10 it's not even funny. That is good in a way, but it's also terrible. I still own Live 10, so I have no reason to buy this, if I didn't I could pick it up for less than ten bucks right now. There is no reason for this to be a $60 title, particularly when devs and Peter Moore himself have openly talked about how this year the game isn't ready to compete as the basketball game on the market. That's like Ryan Hollins trying to get paid LeBron money.

That said, dribbling does look like it could be fun. Like the fit of the jerseys though the classic team shorts everybody is wearing needs to be fixed. Timmy looks pretty good and I like the sig jumpers I saw. Far more negatives than positives in this thing though and that's something I've grown weary of saying about Live. Gotta do better guys.

Nice solid foundation for live for the future. Not sure what people were expecting. To expect them to compete with 2k the 1st year out is just as silly as thinking an amateur boxer could hang with Mike Tyson in his prime. Anyways it looks like its going to be a solid game which I'm sure the people who don't want to play 2k are happy about.

I WATCHED THIS TRAILER TWICE. I"m a 2k fan but want to buy live but was a little disappointed. People I"ve changed my mind. Watch the trailer several times and pause. Nba live does have some good elements to it. The gameplay isn't entirely bad like I thought. The ball handling is pretty well and most characters are truly detailed. What live will lack this year is the skin textures but let them pass and give them time to build. Support them. They might have better game modes because 2k doesn't give a **** about game modes

anyone notice derrick rose with only one knee sleeve? wtf how do you miss that?

There is absolutely no help defense. The ball handler gets past his defender and can just go to the rim unimpeded.

Not bad, but compared to NBA 2k14 trailer, this is LOL worthy

I wasn't expecting Live to be better than 2K this year. I just wanted them to release a decent game, compete & continue to get better. they on the right track but still got ways to go. I'll be buying both games

I thought this looked very good. Seeing those signature moves got me hype, especially Melo's hesitation pull up it looked really life-like. The way the players run looks decent but still could use a lil work on it. The shorts just maybe a tad bit too short though lol. Lighting looks good and the shoes too, not to mention the player faces look spot on. Fluidity could still use some work, but if the gameplay is smooth when you put the controller in your hand it will be fine. I thought player models looked ok, some could use a little more defining. I'm excited for release, you guys should be happy for two sims . Each company has their own definition of sim. Every time I come to this forum Live gets bashed even if there stuff is really on point. Everyone is their own critic and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Really and truly I'm just saying it's ok to speak on positives and not just kill the product because one only likes what the competition offers. -Peace

The ball handling was looking right, cant say that for much else.

Please everyone - show some respect. I liked the lighting and the dribbling. The one problem I do have is that it just seemed like a series of arbitrary clips. There didn't seem to be theme, per se, outside of showing the dribble moves.

We got to see a few things here - ball/rim interaction, ball flight physics, player movement. Saw some rebounding. I think the video showed quite a bit. No reason to believe that we don't see enough to judge. So, we should appreciate EA's effort and show some respect regardless of what you think of the video.

ONLY MY OPINION but my God some of you guys really must be blind. The players look stiff, Yes D.Rose dribbling look pretty good but after that it was the same old morph ball to hand to the point it looked like the hand and ball were one(SMH). The Irving alley looked bad the ball looked unreal and when i say unreal i mean Ive never seen a ball look so stiff with no real motion. At the 1:04 mark Irving looked like JJ from good times and then back to Irving(Crazy). Other than Irving on Cleveland i couldn't tell who the other players were suppose to be. They had my boy Lillard looking silly and most the players looked like cartoon characters not real life player but if that's what they were trying to do than they accomplished that..Wades dunk a plus, Duncan off glass a plus. You will never have a person walk in the room while you are playing this and ask is basketball on. I agree totally competition is good but this isn't competition. Hopefully thing will get better for Live but at least they will get something out this but they have a long way to go.

I thought they were going for the more arcadey approach.. So this is suppose to be a sim? I only ask because you say that you can tell it's going to be more authentic.

Since I love Basketball so much this is what I'm going to do.

NBA 2K14(Next-Gen) = Buy

NBA Live 14(Next-Gen) = Rent

This is a good look for EA welcome back Live.

Looks intersting, but I'm desperate for something new and different. Also, graphics don't mean much to me but fan reaction to what's happening on the court does.

Not as pretty as 2k but it was cool. Dribble looks cool. I'm not sure why the EA games don't look as fluid in motion as 2k does. I hope the controls are still on point like the games in the past. IMO 2k has always looked prettier but Live has always handled better in the controls which is why I tend to side with live. I'll still be purchasing both games. Good job EA. Now let's learn from this and make steps toward Live '15

Seen all i need to see..... I have officially cancelled my live 14 preorder... it looked ok, but the animations still laggy , stiff, and choppy..... dribbling looked nice, but when transiting, its just toooo herky jerky for me, what a shame.... well good luck to EA but I will not be purchasing.. i just cant get over the stiffness

Lets just forget about the NBA 2k14 NG trailer and focus on Live NG. Watch the Live trailer then go back and watch the NBA 2k14 current gen trailer and make your comparison. Live does not even hold up to current gen expectations. Try it! It's really so sad that they can't do any better than that. I did not expect them to beat 2k on NG but I did expect them to put out something that would rival current gen. Every Average Sports flops again.
