I'm sure that is just because it's a trailer. They're trying to show off dunks but I will hold final judgement till I see extended game play.
So far so good for Live.
man, take off the ea shades man, this trailer is reflection of the product. While not an abomination, its certainly not worth 59.99. Don't be an ea apologist.
..ok watched it through again. This time without laughing (for the most part).
Its just waaay too hard for me to get over the graphical disconnect between this and 2k. Like, theres no way this would lean someone into buying a new console. We can't really get into the technical side of the game..physics and what have you. This is just an eye sore. Look how stiff Kyrie is when he goes up for that layup. Nothing about this screams "next-gen"
We know that this will be on the next gen right? so graphically means it needs to be improve (co'z if not they can put this in current gen)...
Gameplay is important... that's right... but how can u be happy about gameplays if the movements/animations etc/ is not realistic?
dribbling is good (of course they will focus their trailers with that bcoz of Bouncetek), some other aspect is good... but the movements is agghhh.....!!!!
Realistic Movements/Animations + Good Gameplay = Topnotch...
Like DCZAR's motto..
Don't play Video Games (arcady)... Play Basketball (sim)
I'm assuming he's referencing the 989/Sony hybrid game that went by a couple of different monikers over it's life span, from NBA 03 to NBA: The Life to NBA: The Inside.
Exactly what I expected. The signature dribbling looks nice and was the best thing about it but then it transforms to wonky animations. It has no smoothness of animations they need a run-tek, or move-tek. It definitely reminds me of some of the older Live games like they are known for. It is like they have no control of speed and momentum animations and are what they are. I didn't like how the dunks looked going from normal running to dunking something is off
Not the show, "the life" I mean, my bad. Got mixed up.
I never discriminated when it came to basketball games, I played em' all.
I tried to play the ps3 iterations, at least the demos, they were so bad, although the graphics were really sharp. Really wish Sony would try to make a sim version of their games, or microsoft brought back the inside drive series, competition is always a good thing.

I WATCHED THIS TRAILER TWICE. I"m a 2k fan but want to buy live but was a little disappointed. People I"ve changed my mind. Watch the trailer several times and pause. Nba live does have some good elements to it. The gameplay isn't entirely bad like I thought. The ball handling is pretty well and most characters are truly detailed. What live will lack this year is the skin textures but let them pass and give them time to build. Support them. They might have better game modes because 2k doesn't give a **** about game modes
How many times are you going to post this? I have read this same reply like 5 times in this thread. We understand you like it, but please stop posting this. Are you trying to get people to agree with you by posting over and over again?
My thoughts, looked alot like Live 10. I doubt it will be a purchase for me but it is good to see that they have something to build upon again.
People vote with their wallets. Sales are what motivates EA not just competition.
You know what the biggest change the Live series ever made? It was from Live 09 to Live 10. 2k beat them in sales for the first time that year and forced EA to significantly change their game. They brought in Mike Wang and Live 10 was one of the best games in the series. The problem was Live 10 did worse than Live 09 when it came to sales and EA decided it had to evolve again and created Elite.
The lack of sales motivated them. If Live 09 wouldve sold more than 2k9, EA would still have a game running off that engine.
PREACH!!! If this game hits their sales projections this year, then this will be how Live next gen will continue to look with upgrades here and there. Neither company cares about competition more than the dollar, it's business. It's in our best interest as gamers to only buy things that are worthy, because if we buy trash, they will assume we want more trash.
The dribbling as nice, that's always been Live's plus side but everything else was a little off. It doesn't look much improved gameplay wise from Live 10.
