It definitely looked much better than the teaser trailer a couple days ago. I'm not sure what they were thinking by putting that out when they did. We still haven't seen any real 5-on-5 gameplay from either basketball game, but I think both games look pretty fun. I'm definitely not as picky as most people here though judging by the comments in this topic.

Everyone seems to just focus on graphics this trailer is good! I can tell you it's gonna be more authentic than 2k and gameplay will be much better
The positive here is that they have something to build on but this doesn't look next gen to me.....
Compared to the last game they put out, its an improvement. Compared to what I saw from the NBA 2k video yesterday, this is a trainwreck.

I have to admit, I didn't hate it. It didn't look as good as 2K, but who was really expecting that? I may buy it when the price gets reduced, but it looks a lot more fluid than past Live iterations. Dribbling looks good, and a lot of the movement looked really good, like Kobe backing down in the post. I love when we have competition though. Wish Madden had some right now...
People have their own opinions. Respect that. If you don't agree, that's fine.
Personally, I thought the game looked a bit "jerky". The Rose dunk, reminded me of the rocket dunks from 07. He's explosive, but that whole animation looked a bit rough.
Overall, I see a lot of Live 10 here, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Isn't a good thing, but not a bad thing. Was really looking forward to seeing "where" Live was at in their next gen rebuild. I may get it on a price drop, but I doubt I'll spend the initial $60 on it. I'm sure I'll be able to find plenty of used copies in a month or two.
Glad to have another option for future iterations, but I won't be included in the "Phase 1" of the 3 Year Cycle. Not this time.
Final note. In my opinion, didn't look bad though. Just not yet ready to compete for a full price purchase.

If you weren't very knowledgeable about these games and they showed you the trailer for each one, NOBODY would think the Live game looked better.

I really enjoyed it. Dribbling and shot animations look great, the game looks fun.
The dribbling looks official!
The best part about it is it's NBA Live, so I know the control I have over those moves is gonna be on point. Did you see the way Brandon Jennings had Michael Carter-Williams knees buckling. I really like the way the game looks, and I can already see myself having fun online with it.
The Physicality in the post looked great too.
Kobe went at Wesley Matthews and he took the bump, it seems like there's some real time physics going on, and that's a positive for the post game in general. You could even hear the grunt when he bumped him
The Variety in the dribbling looks good
When Damian Lillard started dribbling I just started smiling, I am going to be breaking some ankles online. Off the iso, off the pick and roll, on the fast break, I just really see myself enjoying this game. Once again I think it's the control that excites me. Not in a cheesy way either, but using the control of the dribbling to my advantage.

The potential is there, and this is a great base.
Live already said they know they aren't going to come out and overthrow 2k this year, and I think the while world knows that, but they are placing the right pieces. They have so much to build off, and it's nice because the game is not all animation driven but there's a realness to it. Seeing players stumble, and feet shuffling is cool and something that can only improve.
I think this game has amazing potential, mostly because it's not all just good looking animations but more user control. Which means to me stick skills are very important. Something essential when playing online.

I WATCHED THIS TRAILER TWICE. I"m a 2k fan but want to buy live but was a little disappointed. People I"ve changed my mind. Watch the trailer several times and pause. Nba live does have some good elements to it. The gameplay isn't entirely bad like I thought. The ball handling is pretty well and most characters are truly detailed. What live will lack this year is the skin textures but let them pass and give them time to build. Support them. They might have better game modes because 2k doesn't give a **** about game modes

Should be a nice alternative.
Dribbling looks fun, quick and explosive.

This game "seems" to play like live 10 which makes me wonder, why the hell did you take 3 yrs off then?!? Don't look like EA scrapped anything...New console, same old EA

Looks like Live 10 with minor visual improvments, but nothing like next gen. That being said, Fifa doesnt look like next gen either so it could be the EA "we dont want to invest money, we wanna milk yall" syndrom.
All in all, it doesnt look that bad for EA to cancel it but having to discuss it speaks for itself. They REALLY need to step up their game for next year or that competion for 2k wont last long.

Well like most of you, I agree....its a start. And for those of you who love NBA Live...you have to agree THIS IS NBA LIVE. No it doesn't look very next gen...but it looks to be a great game and good foundation which is what EA's goal was right? I do have a hard time believing this was built from the ground up. This looks almost exactly like the official NBA Live 13 trailer. Pay attention to Tony Parker....Kyrie....Wade. This was obviously the goal on current gen that they couldn't achieve so they are porting it over to next gen and polishing it up. This is at least two years of work. The good news is that if Live is staying true to its formula, it will be fun at least and will give us another option and different experience when you are just burned out on 2k.
