Nope, CPU still snaps it before you even have a chance to do anything.

Its not a 15 second runoff it runs the clock down to 15 seconds. So playing with 15 you actually have less time at the line than with 25.
If you start with a 25 second clock though, like after a change of possession, then I think all three settings run down to about the same amount of time.

I played my franchise superbowl eagles vs. pats. somethings i noticed
  • tackles sealed edge on run got 61 yards
  • guards sealed off Lb and fb saftey broke off long run got called back on clipping
  • threw ball to welker and moss
  • morris got the ball to run clock down
  • fatigue was good had to take TO get oline health back actually was grey on on long drives
  • no sacks got close but none, but if i tweak pass rush slider should be ok
  • flats were covered by me and cpu
  • overall it was cool had some crappy interceptions on blitzes
  • saw blown coverage didn't get wr to the ball
  • pump fake worked
I played on all pro default happy with what i saw just wish Oline and Dline play was better overall good stuff.

I'm telling you its almost a joy to play defense now. Being able to pressure the QB, the secondary playing tighter, the flats being taken away...good, good stuff.

i'm going back to the lab to get used to this patch mainly re thinking running and defensive pressure

EA is ********. Seriously, why would you mess with the Wildcat? If anything, limit it online not in offline play, especially franchise mode. Trading this garbage in.

In franchise mode it looked liked CPU signing free agents during the season for very little money was fixed because they were some decent contracts given. Like Ronnie Brown getting a 3 year deal worth around 4mil per , and some 75+ rated players actually getting deals over a 1mil. But after you sim the next week, its back to same old thing,1 year deals for 330k, 460k for decent rated players. What a tease...

The stats are awful just like everyone has reiterated here a bunch of times before but thats not the worst part of it.

I simmed through half a season and decided to play a game against the CPU. Eagles vs. Packers. Apparently, the CPU has been on OS reading about the whole http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ter-bunny.html discussion. And the CPU Packers decided if OL ratings don't matter that they could just stick a kicker and WR on the o-line. The first play of the game the formation the packers chose had 3 WRs 1 TE and 2 RBs. I thought great a new bug that is messing up the count but then as the walked up to the line I saw the count was right. They had an extra WR playing LT and the Kicker Mason Crosby playing center. Trent Cole was pretty much stymied by the backup WR all game only getting one sack and Crosby gave up no sacks as well as doing a hell of a job in run blocking.

After the game I went to check the roster to see why this happened and realized they had no choice. Almost all of their OL were on injured reserve! Then I checked the FA market and there were no OL left I checked team after team and about half the teams didn't have 5 healthy o-linemen!! So, if you don't get frustrated by 3 guys running for 2000+ yards, 7+ yards per carry and 3 guys breaking the sack record each year from simmed games then going up against teams with kickers and WRs on the o-line should probably do it for you.

By the way, GatorBait posted way back about having a problem with the salary cap when controlling all 32 teams. I simmed 6 full seasons (3 controlling one team and 3 controlling all 32 teams). I had the same exact problem with the Saints by the end of the first season. I had to cut a veteran player and sign a rookie for 3 weeks straight starting in week 12 in order to keep them under the salary cap and have them with all the min. required players. This was due to the fact that so many linemen were injured for them and the CPU just takes the top guys (usually the most expensive veterans) at the position needed on the FA list. I also had all options for roster, salary cap etc. set to CPU.

Also, in my experience simming with all 32 teams by changing run pass ratio to 40/60 and RB1/RB2 ratio 50/50 for every team I ended up only having 2 2000+ rushers in 3 seasons but that just made the sack stats even worse. I had two seasons with a 30+ sacker. Trent Cole 30 and Jared Allen 32. In those seasons I also had at least 10 guys with more than 20 sacks too. So, I don't really see changing those sliders as the answer.

Hopefully there will be another patch to address these issues otherwise I'll have to put this game to rest.
Is no one else having this problem (above in bold)? I thought it may have been a fluke but I played another franchise game last night this time against the Lions and they also had two non-offensive linemen starting on their O-Line. Left Tackle was #45 a rookie DB & they're starting KR and the RG was #12 a rookie backup QB! But this time they actually only had two injured offensive lineman.
I'd just like to know whether anyone else has had this problem. By the way, I am continuing a franchise that I started before the patch.

Yea I see it happen, its sucks watching kickers and punters effectively blocking DT's. They need to fix CPU depth charts for these things, it was in past Maddens too.

Fianlly downloaded the patch. Played the last game of my niners franchise in year one. The patch definately smoothed the gameplay out. I think the game is a little faster on slow speed, not sure if it feels that way because animations are smoother.

You can definately tell a difference on defense, especially cover 2, which I play a ton of. I think the edge gets sealed better on runs, this helps the computer run game.

The only problem I have deals with box scores of played franchise games, they seem to be wrong alot, with scores mainly. Not sure if this is a big problem with other people but I am seeing it.

Kudos to the Madden team for making huge strides this year. This is the most I have played Madden in 3 or 4 years and i am still enjoying it. Thanks guys, my $60 was a good investment.

This could go in the bugs glitch, but I haven't had this happen to me until the new patch was released. When I throw a long ball down field, even if the receiver dosen't make the catch, they show the animation cut scene where the refs try and determin if it was a good catch or not... I've also had the animation say "no good", yet the spot is at the place of the catch and I've also had the complete opposite happen where they say it was a catch and it wasn't... Again, sorry if this is a known glitch, but again, didn't have this until this patch hit...

My frustration has reached an all time high. I bought the ps3 last year figuring that i would enjoy Madden way more on next gen. I always loved the gameplay on the ps2 version. Now i'm actually missing playing madden on the ps2.

I waited for weeks for patch 2 to come out to fix the cpu qb sack/lame duck issue, as that was my biggest grip about the game. Since patch 2, i have been very disapointed. I just dont see an improvement in that area.

Some people say they do, and if you do, you have no idea how envious of you i am that you are now able to enjoy your game. I wish i could. I've tried so hard to like Madden 10. But i just cant get into it when i see lame duck after lame duck and not being able to get any sacks with my cpu controlled players.

If this one issue was fixed, i could deal with the other issues this game has for now. But this issue is literally killing any shot i have at enjoying madden for the first time since i started playing back in the Sega Genesis days.

Just curious, but what's the AWR ratings of the QBs in question? I ask because when I play with Josh Johnson, I get WAY more lame duck pop ups than if I play with Flacco. The AI in that game (McNabb) didn't have any popup throws (all of his went down into the ground).

I have a feeling it's an AWR thing.

the strength of the qb may take some stock in this i play with eagles and i noticed even if he is hit his ball go toward ground if so that's cool so the same thing should be seen with farve too.
