They took out players being listed as doubtful, questionable, and probable? Are you serious? Was this in before the patch?

Also alot of people are saying that they play with Advanced settings because of the replays. Are there replays in Hardcore setting? What the hell is the difference between the two anyway, besides that advanced allows you to use that rewind crap?

I've given up 20pts to the Chargers and held the Chiefs to 14 last night and all 14 came on defensive TD's.

Also, QB play seems better as I was able to generate pressure on Cassell and force him to hurry throws. Cassell finished 12 of 38 last night for a whopping 113yds. Pressure in his face from blitzes, 4 man rushes, stunts, zone blitzes, it was a thing of beauty. Just for comparison sake Rivers went I believe 18 of 26 against me for over 200 yards of offense and had less pressure than Cassell.

This game is golden imo after patch #2...simply golden. And I cannot wait to see how they build off of this next year.
CB....very much anticipating the patch for the 360 this week...good to hear your impressions. Are you playing All Madden default or adjusted sliders?

Yes I am serious and yes it was in prior to the patch.

There are no replays, at least I haven't seen any, on the hardcore setting. Could be that I have Backtrack turned off, as I'm not sure whether or not this has any effect although I doubt it.

The difference as far as I can tell is how quickly the cpu adapts to what you are doing and trying to exploit its mismatches. They also do not sell out blitz on every 3rd down on hardcore setting, as they seem to do on advance. Those are of course are of personal experience/opinion and are not concrete.

The only sliders that I've messed with is the interceptions for the cpu as I lowered them down to 25.(its 25 by default for the user on all-madden) I also raised my reaction time on passes to 50. Outside of those two, I have not made any other changes.

Wow...the injuries thing upsets me. So I see you play on All-Madden, as do I. Are you playing on hardcore or advanced?

Also has the game speed changed? I keep reading that the game is faster now. So which speed setting is the best now? Before it was slow right?

I play on hardcore.

So the replay thing doesnt bother you? Thats pretty dumb that there are no replays on the hardcore setting.

nah the replay thing doesn't really bother me. I wish they were there, but I replay a play manually if I want to see it again, so its not that big of a deal for me.

I'm playing on slow I believe and yes, imo, it seems that the game has sped up a bit. Nothing major, but slow doesn't feel as slow as it did before. As for the best setting, that will be up to each individual to decide.

what are you guys talking about for the injury thing? Madden 10 NEVER had players listed as questionable, doubftul, probable or out. It was always....this player is out for 3 weeks. If I am missing something please tell me.

I've had many length varying injuries in my franchise and online.

yes it did. When the game first came out and even after the first patch I believe, when a player was injured, after his 1 week injury was up, he'd change to either doubtful, questionable, or probable.

I think it depends on the user on how much they see an impact. Some people have been enjoying the game since release and play it regularly. To them, the small details don't bother them and they thought the game was fine before the patch. These people won't be as effected by the patch. They won't notice the changes much.

Then there's people like me who aren't especially happy with the Madden 10 product. Sure, the game is a nice leap over Madden 09 and possibly on it's way to being a great game, but not yet. We are waiting for patch 2 to revolutionize the game, which it won't, but it will provide us with at least a couple months of gameplay before we just get frustrated again with the flaws or bored with the presentation. That said, I am looking forward to those couple of months.

I paused the other day when I realized I was counting the months until NCAA Football 11.

I didn't mean players being out for only 3 weeks. I've had plenty of 1 week, 6 week, Season, and Career injuries. I'm not sure if this is what you are talking about but I have never seen any probable or questionable injuries. Maybe I'll have to look for it more often. I still don't have the patch, and am on the 360, if that makes a difference.

Isn't that the way it should be? If the guy isn't hurt anymore, why should he still be on the injury list?

For example, Rothlisberger had a concussion and was out a couple games. Now he's back and is not listed as anything on the injury report.

I've always thought that if a guy is out - he's out until he's cleared to play and is basically 100%.

P/Q/D injuries are for relatively minor injuries the player could play on, but won't be at 100% and so the decision is more up to the coaches (i.e. us) rather than the team doctors (i.e. Out injuries).

Perhaps the problem with the injury system is that there's too many OUT injuries and not enough P/Q/D for weeks injuries. Sometimes guys are held out but haven't suffered concussions or whatnot. OUT injuries should be reserves for totally severe stuff that the player just can't play on and those probably would take more than a week to heal.

I have seen those injuries in-game, not in between weeks. And this was on the last patch as well.

It happened quite a few times in my online franchise after an injury.

Pause, go to depth chart, and there it is. It changes as the game progresses as well.

I saw those pre-patch, but not after the 2nd patch dropped.

In the NFL, guys are listed as P/Q/D all the time. Its either because they are trying to get over an injury or they have a very minor injury that is not guaranteed to put them out for the week and are game-time/day decisions.

But either way, it was in the game up until patch 2 dropped and now its not there anymore. I haven't seen anyone listed as P/Q/D in my franchise post patch 2.

Oooo so you guys are talking about the Medical Center in-game, right? I have seen those. I thought you were talking about the injury report in the middle of the week. OK. That kinda sucks that it was taken out, but I can deal with it.

After reading everyones impressions on patch #2, it's good to know that I made the right choice to trade my Madden in for MW2.
