good point but that sounds no where near the real life organ thats also used in nba live 10. also something that isnt a good sign at the :50 to about :53 second mark it looks like a canned lebron animation as you see his leg go right though gasol.....

This is the most deleted messages i have ever seen, LMAO!

But as for 2k's gameplay vid, i liked the commentary............that's it... the only thing that really stood out to me. If you would have told me that it was 2k9 i would have believed you. My Player seemed to be their real focus this year seeing as how there isn't much difference in the graphics department. I hope it turns out good because my dude is looking to make a splash in the summer league. All in all, it looks like it's just going to be a minor upgrade with a MILLION animations.

I'm feeling the same way.
Also wasn't feeling Lebron's face or the way the jerseys fit the Cavs players, Lakers looked all right for some reason. To be honest, I was kind of turned off by this video, but I still can't wait to see more.
Oh, and the commentary was crazy.

Yo Lebron looks freaking weird. I glued myself to the computer when i clicked on it and then when i saw Lebron i moved my head back and did the Marbury face when Yao fell. And i was like WTF!?!?! he reminded me of the dog from never ending story.

I'm still hyped for the game too but $60 is not $5 so they have to convince me to get this. I was thinking about getting both the same day, but i don't know if i will feel like i am missing out on this if it doesn't show improvements. I mean it's the damn 10th anniversary, you know everyone expected so much more. And now they want to pretend to be content when they know they are disappointed (basically keeping hopes up) . I know i'm not the only one feeling this way

Yeah, I LOVED how they were laughing at the Gasol trade, it really seemed like they were unscripted. Clark sounds a LOT better. Never really minded Harlan, he was solid, but Clark/Kenny annoyed me to no end, Sounds great this year though.

lol I actually laughed with them about the Gasol trade

Like Wiffy said earlier it's to little info / too soon to make any difinitive judgements.

The 3 min clip basically showed 2k9.5 imo with awesome commentary and a sick tip slam but other than that it didn't seem much has changed. I'm sure we'll see much better footage soon and the demo will be the true test, still excited for 2k10 but i hope there is more change than shown in that short clip.

# 87 DayZ @ 09/22/09 04:14 AM
Firstly,

all these people complaining about not being able to do crossovers, its not AND1 and i dont see delonte west or derek fisher performing any of these moves, and isomotion itself has better control than the freestyle stick

secondly, the person using the cavs does not know how to play basketball. so of course animations are gonna be off when you make passes to half court from an inbounds or not letting shaq get in position before passing to the post.

also one thing i havnt seen mentioned yet is the player sizes!, it is greatly fixed from the huge players in nba 2k9

with that said i'm still buying nba 2k10 because after playing hte live demo, it still doesnt feel like what it should. and i loved nba 2k9

Commentary got better...still isn't on par like live's though.

yeah considering live has had the same lines since nba live 06

Commentary seems improved. And it appears that Visual Concepts has finally tightened up on the defensive rotation. But somehow it still seems that the run-and-gun styled gameplay has reared its ugly head again from 2K9. I'm hoping that it just LOOKS that way judging by the video (Lakers vs. Cavs), and not PLAY that way. Being an avid 2K basketball fan, I'm still marking this as a rental following that fiasco called NBA 2K9 until proven otherwise.

Well so far not to impressed by vidz. The write-ups make it sound better than the vidz , i only thought one vid was hott but the rest were plain.

I really dont understand how some of you thought the audio was better. It was basically the same from 2k9 word for word 98% of it with a sprinkle of new.

Starting to get a lil worried but i still think its better than live, ok they added that control feature but the graphics and gameplay still look bad.

# 93 HMcCoy @ 09/22/09 04:44 AM
I like the new "body up" animations the two PG's get into at the top. That interaction looks pretty realistic.

# 94 Meloone15 @ 09/22/09 05:40 AM
I dont even know why everybody is complaining about 2k.
Its like same S***, different year.
You know that 2k gives us only the "base system" and its up to you how you'll play.
Therefor Sliders are integrated in this game. I never seen a sports-game played well out of the box...

One thing Live did great this year is add signature DRIBBLING moves and crossovers - players in Live actually MOVE like themselves - looking at these 2k10 vids, all the players pretty much dribble the same and like I said there are no size-up moves or one-on-one moves AT ALL. 2k completely lacks the 1-on-1 game. 1-on-1 play is a big part of nba basketball, but 2k has completely ignored it for years.
This post is nonsense from beginning to end. Literally, every sentence is wrong.

There were some nice things going on with all aspects of the sound.

Yup.

I should be surprised by what I'm reading, but I'm not. It's a shame that the growth of the forum is inversely proportionate to its quality. I wish I could have found this place a couple of years earlier. At least I've met some good dudes.

I'm very encouraged by the way the AI is running its offense in the Lakers vid.

Looks good to me. One thing you guys have to remember about a game like basketball is that it's difficult to judge by simply looking at videos. So much depends on control that you really need to get your hands on the game to fully get a feel for it . Every 2K baller is not built equally. You can get two totally different representations of the game depending on who you're watching play.

I see a lot of NBA 2K9.5 talk. Honestly, that really isn't a bad thing. I thought last years game was very good despite some of the issues. The video and combine have shown me enough to know that I'm in for another good year of 2K ball with my boys online.

# 97 RayDog253 @ 09/22/09 06:03 AM
I like how quick the AI responds to certain situations. Like Kobe seeing that Gasol was open, or later when he tried to pass to Artest. Even though the pass to Gasol wasn't all smooth.

Lol...don't worry. The noobs usually get bored or get themselves banned. The few that survive the launch window usally end up being good community folk.

Everything will be back to normal by X-mas.

Back on topic:

The vets mostly posted in the original thread. My .02:

Quote:
Wow...Bron is brutal, but the Laker bench looks spot on. Shannon especially.

I like the CPU ball movement, but I hate watching scrubs play.
Quote:
Kobe went to the blocks three times in 6 possessions.

I wonder if that's Kobes tendacies at work, or the CPU recognizing a size mismatch.
Quote:
I like the fact that Bron went to the paint four times and his shot was contested by two players on every shot attempt except his third, a postup...which was contested by three guys.

Help defense is alot better...hopefully the shooting %'s go way down on higher difficulty levels. He was 2/4 in relatively heavy traffic.
