Yes i was suprised to hear the sounds and stufff, buuuuut, if they could have added go lakers go! and organs i would have been happier. But anyhow it sounded AWESOME

huh? they do chant "go lakers go" in the vid...i heard the organs to..the only thing about the organs is that its kind of low compared to Live10's

unless i misunderstood you and you mean that go lakers go chant go with the organs at the same time then yea..im all about authenticity to but they did a good job

theres alot going on in the 3min clip...im just listening to it...the chatter among the players, the commentators and i can hear some random stuff from the crowd (unlike Madden where the randoms seems too dominant) good stuff! i cant wait to see/hear more gameplay vids

Wow, I wanted to keep my trap shut this year but after this. I really hope its just a bad vid. I see close to nothing from the great stuff mentioned in the "developer insights". Reminds me somewhat of last years "defensive sig styles"...

No visible improvements to defense...Shaq dunks like 10 years ago (or even better), the slowed down gamepace must be hinding somewhere too.
And the worst part: the passing...still bullet passes and horrible passing in the paint...not one turnover ect ect. Aw, I really really hope this is just a bad presentation.
I really did like 2k9 and still play it, and I thought a improved 2k9 would be great...but a 2k9 updated graphics only is an dissapointment. I really give a **** about the bench or stuff like that if important thing are still off. The new animations look strange too...but maybe thats just the shabby quality of the vid (i the HD version of the vid somewhere to DL where I dont have ti pay?)

After seeing this and playing the live demo I think live really made some great improvments this year and I consider buying live the first time...
Just kidding

Live is still unplayable for me, terrible.
But after the great insights and the reviews this vid is really a letdown. Hope the demo proves the vid wrong, if not I might be stay with 2k9.

Damn the players are so much smaller compared to 2K9. Almost funny. But that gives us the spacing that we have desperately needed for years.

and im not so impressed either, this video has made me less certain that it will be a good year for bball games, in fact its looking similar to last year, where both just aren't good enough.

too similar to 2k9, i just hope playing the demo will convince me otherwise as videos dont tell the full story, but from first impressions, im not very happy at all.

i wish i could stand the live 10 demo...at leats it would give me a bit of a change, but cant do that either.

at least fifa 10 is the bomb so at least i have one outstanding game this sports season.

O.S. Family,

We have 2 choices for b-ball this year; live or 2k. Neither game is perfect by any means. But since we are on a 2k thread let's send some luv there way. 2k10 is for the fans of 2k b-ball. Live is trying something new till they get it right. We already have the best b-ball simulation on the market. I am getting 2k (as always) and will be enjoying myself all night long. For those who want to try something new; fine. Its your money, but to try and convert 2k players to live is just wrong. Stop bashing 2k. Live has a board to you know, go there and do it.

I think that 3 min clip was just a small taste of what is to come, it's the first gameplay vid!! not a great deal was shown in how players react to situations, nor did we see any new animations because the player controlled team just ran up and down like he was playing an online game looking to outscore the other guy, maybe in the next vid lets slow the ball down, use the post players, show us some defense! how many gameplay vids has live released anyway to get people hyped up?? 2k is coming...very soon!

It doesn't really impress me seeing the odd person hoping the demo makes them change their mind, why?? seriously why?? do u feel the need to come to this thread and make these comments, it's the first gameplay video, and at first impressions looks like it was controlled by someone not familiar with the game at all (i think i made this known in my previous post) if your feelings are you won't buy the game because the first and only gameplay vid you have seen isn't up to par, well your never going to be impressed with the next few or even the full version when it drops in october

they also fail to see that this is on Pro...i highly doubt that the guy at IGN would mess with the settings and bump it up to a higher difficulty

its evident since he kept trying to force his way in with Bron...its nice to see that he got stopped (in default settings) and put up some layups instead of a monster dunk...last year those two layups wouldve been highlight dunks that would make DC **** his pants with rage...

i think we will be getting more vids today...either IGN or Gamespot...

i think it looked good b/c 2k9 was good. i don't think there was enough gameplay in the video to be honest. I want to see different camera angles and some close ups too. Also, i want to know what build this was on? final version?

I gotta agree with you there mrnoobie, there were alot of dunks in last years unless you played with the sliders, i have found in the live demo that there are alot of dunks, even in traffic, so it's fresh to see lebron so highly contested going strong to the hoop as he does on the regular, and i'm australian so anything 2k i can get my hands on is a start for me, i'm used to seeing the gameplay vids on here and youtube until the end of october

I am about to freak the heck out...For year's I am praying for this level of attention on commentary and presentation, finally someone brings out something truely amazing and then you have to face, that this is not much improvenment gameplaywise from 2k9.

Alright, alright...you guys are right. 3:00 min vid, hard to judge and hum vs hum (who played not good either). But as someone who played the game already mentioned, if you have been sceptical or quiet disappointed with 2k9, you will probably feel the same about 2k10. These are sad news.

However after all I will give 2k10 the honor and try it out. Presentation and commentary really deserve it and MyPlayer makes it worth it.

Denial is a sad thing! if you're a hardcore 2K guy or not, and you can seriously look at this game and tell yourself it's not the same... you need to visit a shrink.

I'm not saying the game is not or will not be good, it's just 2K9 with some new intros and some new flare.

The commentary seems to be smoother in the vids, the erratic game play is certainly back, the graphic look the same plus some new lighting effects.

After playing Live demo, they seem to be going forward, although there was no room to go back...I just think 2K needs a completely new engine or something.

oh and about the graphics...not happy with the faces as of now, although the vid quality is not good either,

but ... I have to compliment 2k for making it happen...crystal clear logos oncourt instead of ugly pixel squish...

This is a prime example of people becoming "accustomed" to the 2K Series. Once you've played a series for 3-4 years, you're going to see a lot of the same things. I like "The Show", but I've been playing the show since 07 and I see A LOT of the "same things" in The Show. People just started playing Live Last Year, so it will seem Fresh since we haven't had 3-4 years to become "accustomed" to it's nuances.

pictures aren't always what the real deal is. especially because it might be a poor angle, a weird facial expression etc. have you ever seen a pic and in real life been like "that looks nothing like her" (think college days lol jk) that's why i don't always judge these unless i see multiple shots or play the game for myself. i've seen a lot of pictures that looked good or bad in the past then it was different when i played for better or worse.

2k Fans are ridiculous, never satisfied, Ive played he live demo to death and at the end of the day, its ok not a Nba2k10 killer, Derek Fisher doing Rucker Park Like Crossovers? Come on man please...Im a die hard laker fan when i did a step back crossover with Andrew Bynum that looked like the one I just did with Derek Fisher, I was done. I think everybody would like Ign to cram in ALLL of the upgrades made to Nba2k10 in a 3min Video all the new animations and signature style should be able to fit into a 3min vid. If you want to go buy live then... go buy Live.. you dont have to come on the 2k board and broadcast your future purchase plans.. The problem is this there wont be enough of you "Im jumping to live" people to even make a scratch on 2k10 sales. Laker fans will buy the game just because Kobe is on the box. Looking at the Ign Vids.. 2k Bball looks like Nba Basketball, truth of the matter is theres games where no one gets a dunk. Kobe doesnt dunk every game, someebody doesnt get crossed over and fall to the ground every game, every player doesnt Hop after they make a layup on every play like Live does in the demo. Most of you want to Play Ea Basketball not Nba Basketball, 2k games always play closer to the real thing while Ea just makes their own rules. If thats what you want just admit it and go buy live and get off the 2k board whining this is why 2k doesnt release vids.
