EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed

Along with the Madden NFL 18 frostbite news and the delay of the next NBA Live, EA also announced, during today's Electronic Arts Q3 2017 earnings conference call, EA Sports UFC 3 will ship in fiscal year 2018, which runs from April 2017 through March 2018. Of course when an official release date is announced, it will get posted.

I knew we were getting a new ufc game, but I'm ecstatic that its getting released this fall!!!!11!1!!!!!!11!!!!! :: cavalry:

Super pumped. One article I read said by the end of fiscal year 2018 which ends March 31, 2018 for EA Sports. But I think with a solid baseline they've built up, they might get out in that fall time frame.

EA UFC 2's first teaser came out on Nov 10 2015:



And it was teased on social media about a month prior.

So we got quite some time before EA UFC 3 comes out. By the looks of it, it's gonna be by the end of the year, unless they said "Fk it we won't waste resources on advertising as much this time." and went all out on the gameplay/feutures/modes.

Rush the hell out of it. Don't listen to this jabroni. Some of us just want to watch the world burn.

But seriously, I'd wait an extra year if they have a killer Event Mode or Universe Mode. If they've got 350+ fighters I'm pretty happy too.

I think they've already got a solid foundation as you said. It feels like they are trying to keep it at a consistent 18 month schedule, but I wouldn't be surprised if with the new owners and the UFC becoming more apart of the sports world if they don't eventually push for a 12 month schedule like other sports franchises.

If I was in charge, I'd be trying to launch this thing every year in July when they run their huge July PPV.

I tried again last night and UFC 2 is still unplayable for me offline. The AI just cannot win. So I don't care about how many fighters we get, I don't care if the graphic are any better, I don't even care about new game modes. Just give me a competent AI and some fairly basic sliders so I can tailor the game to my skill level and run my little spreadsheet universe. I'd pay $60 for a patch that did that for UFC 2 at this point.

It says it will ship in FY18, and I believe EA's fiscal year goes from April to March if I remember correctly, so I don't think this necessarily means it will be out this year.

Correct, updated OP.

EA Sports UFC 3 will ship in fiscal year 2018, which runs from April 2017 through March 2018. Could be this year, could be next. I'm leaning towards early 2018.

I like this, was looking forward to news soon. I checked the wiki and know the development cycle being 2 years so far between releases, so 2018 lines up.

If i remember correctly, you were sharing the new grappling system before we even saw gameplay of EA UFC 2.

This thread: http://www.operationsports.com/featu...ing-breakdown/ was posted on the 25th of January 2-3 months prior to the game's release, but i think an even older one was on the old EA Forums, before they were closed down, but i was never part of that forum, so i am not quite sure on that.

Really look fwd to it; UFC 2 was such an improvement over UFC 1, hell just the patches since launch of UFC 2 were almost all very legit and helpful ---- it's like we're playing UFC 2.5

really have high hopes for UFC 3 !

I cant say anything specific yet about what I've seen or heard but I think many of you will be happy. There have been a number of times over the last few months that I've read threads and said to myself "This guy will be happy because they are already working on this."

I think many of you will be pleasantly surprised.
