EA Sports UFC 3 News Post

EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed

Along with the Madden NFL 18 frostbite news and the delay of the next NBA Live, EA also announced, during today's Electronic Arts Q3 2017 earnings conference call, EA Sports UFC 3 will ship in fiscal year 2018, which runs from April 2017 through March 2018. Of course when an official release date is announced, it will get posted.

Wouldn't they have to build a new engine to upgrade?

Just a guess. Only way I could see 60 fps is if it's set at 1080p or if there is a bunch of upconversion.

If game has to play on regular ps3 as well I couldn't imagine ea giving some users 60 fps and others 30 fps.

They already has 60fps build becuase as devs said their QA team was selecting 30fps w better graphics vs 60fps...
So , there is no need to build or re-build engine.

As i said, i think bringing up the OPTION to select one of 2 modes by player by his own will_ will be the best way for fighting genre game.

Anyone else notice they never called it EA UFC 3?
Martial mind also talked about this.
Im thinking it's not going to be named ufc 3 or something because they never call it ufc 3. justa guess

They cant refer to it by a name until the title is officially announced. EA has only referred to it as an upcoming UFC title. Thats part of the reason why the devs and the Gamechangers didnt use the words "UFC 2" until it was announced.

I know stand and band was a typo, but now I'm imagining which UFC fighters could come together and form an awesome band.

Like imagine all the VH1 Behind the Music for the band that Conor McGregor is the front man for. Gold. Solid gold.

Thats tough from a marketing perspective because UFC isnt necessarily a yearly title. For example, there is no guarantee that the game will be released in 2017.

Sporta games usually refer to the next year anyways. So even if it releases in 2017 just call it ufc 2018.

Either way its really no big deal.

I know there was some cover discussion. To avoid the conor/ronda losing before game came out debacle, they should just use legends. Maybe even legends that are still fighting or are near retirement/just retired and give us the fighters to use in their prime. Put anderson Silva and hendo on the cover. Or gsp or nick diaz if they return this year. And give us versions of these fighters from their primes instead of the 40 year old and 46 year old silva and hendo we have in this game

I think they should put together a collage of the better and most notable UFC fight posters.

That would be my grand idea for the cover.

The game still feels like a 2d fighter with 3d gfx you can't create angles like in real life

The getting stuck because not body shots spamming nothing in the middle not the ring is absurd

The overall movement needs a huge upgrade imo

That was a Benson Henderson thing wasn't it? Whoever is going to make a Bellator game will get all these custom strikes to add to their game.

There is another thing I'd like to add, I think it would add more 'immersion' (for lack of a better term), is to overhaul the championship system.

Currently in UFC 2 you win a championship after completing a few fights in the title chase phase until you're eligible for a championship.

Personally I think it would add MUCH more meaning to winning the championship if there was some kind of ranking system put in place (becoming a top contender for example) so that you can win THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP against THE WORLD CHAMPION.

Having essentially only 1 belt per weightclass (I guess ranked could follow a different formula for this than UT) would make being the champ at that class alot more interesting IMO.

Right now it feels like winning a belt (aside from developing a title def streak) is a pretty meaningless thing in and of itself.
