Well that pretty much confirms Caceres will be in Bellator by the time the next UFC game ships.

Because he also has that crazy double punch.

Don't sleep on a Bellator game. Getting to play as Fedor against Bobby Lashley at the Foxwoods casino with a co-main event of Chael Sonnen versus King Mo ain't half bad.

Wait, did I just talk myself into wanting this?

What about a Dada/Kimbo death match?

Too soon?

Hopefully since striking will be addressed in the next game dudes like Machida, Lee, Do Hoo, Liddell, Conor, ect won't have insane stand up ratings.

If quick match isn't open rank I won't buy the game. not being able to find fights is dumb.

Or a Shamrock/Sonnen "Who can tap first" match.

There are a ton of game mode opportunities here.

All those guys should have great striking though? Im confused?

not as good as there stats.

Chuck is like 95 striking and feels like a monster compared to Rampage.

Lyoto has like 97 and lost convincingly to Shogun, lost to Rampage, squeaked by Hendo.

Do Hoo is good, but his striking isn't phenomenal everywhere. His biggest power is his hands, and Cub claims Do Hoo doesn't hit harder than Stephens. He hits hard but didn't out strike Cub.

Conor hits like a truck but has nowhere near the best kicks.

I think these fighters have also had a lot of success in the past not so much because of speed and power, but timing, accuracy, and fight iq.

You could show off a Larkin spinning leg kick or something, but nothing of any real substance.

The ground on the other hand had thousands of animations to tease over a long period of time so it was perfect for that.
Is this a little hint that it'll be in the next game?? lol

That was a Benson Henderson thing wasn't it? Whoever is going to make a Bellator game will get all these custom strikes to add to their game.
Yair Rodriguez did the spinning leg kick

I thought he did, some other stuff as well. I went back to watch some fights but didn't want to jinx it and send him to bellator.

unfortunately Larkin was removed from ufc rankings, might be heading to bellator. Surely another ufc fighter has thrown a spinning leg kick.

leg punches would be neat.
FYI, Larkin and Bellator couldnt reach a deal. He will either fight for Rizin or go back to the UFC.

Lets hope they get rid of parries, or dont make as dumb as they are now.. parry a jab, eat a headkick... should be about head movement for counters, now hitting 1 button while holding block for a free shot

Take parrys out completely or make a missed parry do so much damage there momma feels it.

Nice that it's out there. I thought it was pretty obvious from the start, but atleast GC'ers don't have to keep dancing around it anymore with their "if", haha.

Very interested to see the result of the input from people such as Robin Black that have supposedly been involved with this title, and GPD's take on the striking.

getting rid of parries would be insane. Watch Cerrone vs Masvidal, parries galore in that fight.

I don't care if ea tweaks them or completely revamps them, but getting rid of them would be meh.

yh parries and catching kicks with the jab was the story of that fight.

Online I could see wanting to keep them because it's a user that has to input the command.

But good god, offline it's annoying. It makes the game more challenging, which I appreciate, but in the next game, I'd appreciate the CPU being more defensive by using good footwork and less parrying.

I don't even care if it feels like the CPU is running away from me, make it my job to cut off the cage and allow me to win on points and aggression if need be. That's more accurate to me than the amount of parrying the CPU does currently.

I can't parry to save my life. Just can't get the timing down. I think that's probably more accurate for most real life fighters anyway. That's why most of them rely on distance management and moving around the octagon, as well as head movement, rather than timing a strike with a parry.

Just my two cents.

you can sort of preload a parry making it way easier to perform. I don't do it that way, but it's easier. I throw volume strikes so preloading it isn't really an option for me.

I know in ufc 1 the parries in offline pro mode were so crazy they literally felt like they would crash the game.

I'm just thinking parries do happen. if ea wanted to completely remove the counter window that's fine, but getting rid of something that happens instead of reworking it doesn't sit well with me.

I talked about this with leg kicks, but some of the parries in this game aren't even parries. I think with some of the head kicks a successful parry just makes the kick miss you altogether, you never deflect it.

They arent answering questions about the game yet. I think its safe to assume that many aspects of the standup are being worked on though.
