Ok I think I get it - I load Giants playbook, and I can sub any formation they have, but if I create a playbook and a formation not in the Giants playbook, I cannot sub for pregame?? Is this correct????

I just changed out all my starters on Special Teams and saved... I go back in to find out about half of the formations saved and the others reverted back to the starters. Anyone else come across this?

i get the same thing annoys the ^&*� out of me

and it may follow madden in its iterations but hc09 you could put ss at mlb and vice versa iirc. and an oline at fb

I wanted to follow up with some additional details on the 4 formations that do not keep the changes for me.

I'm using the Cleveland Browns playbook (Hugh Jackson).

Special Teams:
Punt - Tight
FG Block Left and FG Block Right
Punt Return 33 Even

Same here not sure if there's a workaround... maybe if u make a coach and select your own schemes?

I tested it last night and it didnt reset

Someone said that the reset only occured for specific player when they get injured or get released. This would make a lot of sense. It should easy be tested. Maybe some of the devs/GC's can look at this and can explain the logic behind?!

I play as the chiefs but like to use a 4-3 defense. I am unable to do this because no matter what defensive playbook I select, when I go to do the formation subs it always shows the Andy Reid playbook, not the one I selected.
When I go to the schemes section it still shows the playbook I selected.
I began my franchise before the day one patch downloaded and installed so I was wondering if that may be an issue or if this is a known issue.

Anyone having problems with nickel or dime cornerbacks?

On the formation subs screen, Orlando Scandrick is the nickel CB but in game he'll always be on the outside.

Why is it that when I put my No.1 CB at Nickel cornerback hes still on the outside. Anyone else having this problem? I can swap DEs but not CBs

Yes. They just get rid of the generic packages and let us create our own.

Thanks for the reply Armor. Unfortunately that has not worked for me. I made that change in the main menu, as well as in the team settings and coaching schemes section of franchise. When I play a game I have the chosen playbooks but am unable to do formation subs for the chosen offensive and defensive playbooks. I play offline and am under the impression that is the issue.
