Power Pros 2016 News Post

Baseball fans, don't be sour. Look above, and feel the power! It's a new day on PlayStation 4, yes it is! For the first time in the platform's short history, Konami is bringing one of their two Nippon Professional Baseball games to PS4. Power Pros 2016 is targeting a Spring 2016 release in Japan on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, and that's all we really know about the game right now, based on an official press release that contains one teaser screenshot.

A new version of Pro Yakyuu Spirits is also being made for iOS and Android, and that product is far enough along in development that Konami has posted a pretty detailed trailer to their Japanese YouTube channel:

Pro Yakyuu Spirits Ace should be available on phones and tablets sometime in 2015, according to the above video. Konami's also uploaded lots of in-game screenshots and a few paragraphs describing Ace's game modes on its Japanese webpage.

Spoiler
Would someone be able to explain the above slew of numbers to me? Is it for Power Pros or PYS and what's the purpose of it? Is it color codes for uniforms, getting proper righty and lefty on the rosters, etc? And how would someone go about "inputting" this "information" "code sequence" into the game and where, how, etc.....

Power Pros
In arrange section the bottom selection is for downloading arrange teams people have created.
The next page will have four selections. The top is latest created teams, next is top for the past week, third is most d/l teams, finally the last is where you will enter the power numbers (you will see DL in the text).

Just enter the power numbers w/o spaces hit enter and then place the teams in one of the arrange team slots. Hope that helps.

Thanks for these Will, really appreciate it. This is my go to baseball game! I am having difficulty with the Texas code, can't get that one to work although all the others input fine. Again thanks, nice work!

Thanks for pointing that out.

By the way I had nothing to do with making these codes. I've been following a japanese bulletin board where they are doing this.

Have you ever played the Pro Yakyuu Spirits games?

Yes, I still have the 2011 version for the PS3 but I believe I enjoy the PP version just a tad bit better.

Really!?!? I enjoy the PYS series more. PP is a great game but i like having realistic player models. I also like the hitting and pitching controls better in PYS. I've been hoping for a PYS on PS4, especially this year because of the WBC.

In your Amazon link the guy who wrote the top review says it makes a big difference in FPS games so this is encouraging. I always play with the controller 3 feet from the system so I'm not sure if it will benefit me too much. I might be getting the PS4 Pro, if so I'll report on the difference if any.
so the old DS4 version 1 even when plugged in uses bluetooth signal ?

the new DS4 version 2 will use usb signal when plugged in ?

is this true ?

My biggest issue with this game is the twitchy oversensitivity of the PS4 joystick while batting/pitching, so if anyone notices a big difference with this new model of PS4 controller having smoother, more finessed reactions, definitely let us know.

I got so frustrated with not being able to accurately control the batting/pitching cursor that I just stopped playing even though I really like just about everything else in this game.

I remember you talking about this maybe last summer. I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary with the cursor speed if that is what you are referring to. I have two ordinary controllers and both play the same. There is a setting, I believe, for the cursor speed while batting although that would not solve your pitching problem. Have you tired more than one controller? Other than your controller not sure what the problem would be. I know it's not the game as mine plays fine.

The "cursor speed" setting in Konami baseball games only applies to dpad aiming. With analog aiming, there is only one unchangeable default speed.

The first thing I did the day that I received this game in the mail was go out and buy a new controller to see if it would perform better than my old one. But even a brand new model 1 controller made no difference in the twitchiness of the cursor. Maybe the model 2 is better?

Very frustrating to be sure. Really hope you can get it figured out as this game is a gem, especially with the MLB teams Will Am I has provided.

Correct, the DS4 version 1 uses bluetooth whether you like it or not even when plugged in.

When you plug in the DS4 version 2 there will be a new option available which asks if you want to use USB input.

I don't think it makes a big difference - at least in Power Pro. Maybe a slight difference. The controls are not as smooth as PYS on PS3, but mine doesn't seem to be as bad as Jyoung describes.

Just to let you guys know that whoever is creating this is saying that this is a preliminary version before the final release, sounds like it will be later this month. So I'm holding off on translating anymore player names over to english for a while.

Some adjustments to these two teams, I haven't even checked them myself.

Had a look and seemed to adjust fielder ratings for these two teams as they were lower overall than most other teams.

Players who didn't make the original teams. These will need to d/l in the live section then added in the arrange section. They do cost PP but are only in the 5/600 range.

These are position players.

These are pitchers.

Did this on my phone and couldn't seem to add both pdf in the same post, hope they uploaded ok.

Really hope they put Power Pros on the Nintendo Switch. It's my favorite Vita game at the moment. I would really like to play on the Switch's bigger screen with graphics close to the PS4 version.
