I pushed the crowd up to 70. 75 seemed too high as MVP chants were pretty much deafening. I set effects to 80 and player chatter to 75 I believe. Nice to hear a couple things like you would in an actual broadcast. But it's still low enough that you can't make out every comment. Commentary is at 75 and another setting is at 80, can't remember which.

Anyway the point is crowd audio is too low and commentary is too high in all settings. It ruins the immersion. Change it and you'll get a better sound from all areas.

Thanks, but I should have mentioned that I even tried other presets such as On Court and In Stands, and they just don't do much. Even when they shout "Three!" it's louder than the cheer afterward if the player makes the three. I'm not saying their volume isn't high, I'm saying they don't cheer for much or show much emotion. We know what crowds sound like, you and I. This game isn't representing that very well.

But yes, I always tweak volumes outside of what they offer us in the presets.

Crowd noise in general just doesn't seem like a 2k specialty even when I have it pushed to 100 max. This is one of the weaker points to the game. The Oracle Arena definitely does not feel like the Oracle whatsoever. Just today playing a game, I thought I had somehow turned the volume down on the crowd because the reaction simply didn't sound right. To my surprise the crowd volume was already at 100. I was like this can't be true....But it was unfortunately.

If 2k is thinking "well, we're trying to give the gamer the TV experience, not the in arena experience ...", 2k is unfortunately wrong here as well. Watching the Warriors on TV, you can feel the crowd coming through. The crowd reaction doesn't even match the crowd audio experience. Very much disconnected.

No and then they didn't even add the ability to access all of the new isomotion size ups for created players or even when you edit players

Man, I just murdered Marcus Thornton with Jamal Crawford in front of the Rockets home crowd. They all went "OHHHHHH" and it was awesome.

The arena atmosphere was a focus of presentation this year.

I'm just crossing my fingers that the crowd audio is just glitched and can be improved via patch.

Lakers24 posted a Heat vs. Hornets video with great in-game crowd audio, that i have yet to experience while playing. So, hopefully it's something they can make more consistent throughout the games played.

This issue has been around for way to long now, IMO.

In the video below at the 5:00 minute mark, they make reference to doing new animations and improving the atmosphere but, nothing really specific in regards to audio.

It's unfortunate that the crowd audio is still lacking. The rest of the presentation package is very well done as usual.

1) Change the RP configuration so that the "touchpad" is in the middle portion only, and not on the full touchscreen (do it like most games where R3 and L3 are in the bottom corners of the touchscreen instead of the rear touchpad).

2) Give three timeout options: Manual, Assist, and Auto. Assist would be what Auto is now, and Auto disables our ability to make timeouts... at least in-game. Maybe we could press pause or something, but I was frustrated when I gave myself two technical fouls just trying to do a stick move.
How is remote play overall for 2K16? I used it a bit for 2K15 and overall, was able to do most of things I could control-wise on the PS4 without too much of a struggle.

I'm having a tough time adjusting from 2k15, which I loved on the court.

I always knock down perimeter D and up the help D, as I feel one on one, good dribblers can usually get an angle on a defender.

Even with the defense knocked down, I'm having a real hard time getting my guy to get a step on the Defense to get towards the hole.

The revamped controls are also messing with me big time.

Right now, as far as on court gameplay goes, im leaning towards 2k15.

I'm sure I'll get better though. I think I felt this from 14-15 as well.

It's fine. At least R2/L2 are mapped to the triggers, even though the other four R/L buttons are still on the rear touchpad. I play it with ease, and no "lag" issues or anything like that.

Miss your second free throw and the cpu is fast breaking the other way with a numbers advantage. How often do you see that in real life? Happens every time in the game.

When the cpu decides to score it will score. I've played great defense only to have a guard get in the paint and throw a pinpoint accurate pass when the ball, his arms and other body parts impale two of my defenders bodies. So much for a live ball. My guys get hung up by bodies on the sideline and take forever bumping into players as they try to get free while running a play yet the cpu can ghost through people if they absolutely need a bucket.

I've had smothering defense on a player that has picked up his dribble beyond the timeline and yet that player is able to pinpoint a bullet pass 30 feet to a player under the basket that my cpu controlled defender decides to not cover.

With all of the new plays and freelance offense the cpu's go to is still spamming the paint with dribble moves.

When it counts the most your cpu controlled teammates go brain dead. I've played tough defense and forced a bad shot only to watch my two teammates under the basket watch as the ball hits the ground. Usually the shooter swoops in and gets the ball and either passes to one of my brain dead teammates man for an easy bucket or get fouled.

The game is so good otherwise. It just stinks especially when you're sweating out every possession and the cpu gets the cheap stuff. Random guy open under the basket. 40 foot laser accurate passes. Body parts going through people.
You're not lying about the cpu cheating man. What happens is they ease up and play normal until you get up by a certain amount or at certain periods in the game, then they make your cpu controlled teammates start making silly mistakes like losing their man or simply just refuse to step up on shooters.

Just played a game (Timberwolves vs bulls) and i was up 4 at about 3 minutes left. Wiggins missed a free throw after that my cpu teammates basically just gave up the game. They lost cutters, They left shooters open, also fast break defense is terrible in this game is terrible. Anyway we ended up down by 9. closed the gap somehow but still ultimately lost the game.

The game is great. it's actually the best 2k game to date. It's just the cpu can sometimes ruin the experience by breaking the realism of the game by trying to create a challenge. It's makes me not care a bout winning or losing because i know the cpu can just do anything it wants to win and there's nothing i could do to stop it. Sliders may be needed, a few touch ups here and there should do the trick. CPU also doesn't shoot enough 3s. Very paint orientated this year. every team only shoots about 16 3s a game, probably due to how hard it is to make jump shots even with space.

i've earned a badge and didn't know it still works like 2k15. most i got through connections but does anyone know if skill badges are still earned the exact same way as last year? also, how do the gatorade items (chews, drinks, bars) work in MyCareer?

Second review after a day or two really playing the game. After playing a couple of franchise games in my Bucks franchise I will say that I'm using the scouting tab to do team comparisons against opponents more often than not now. In 2k15 I felt I could always just jump into a game and go for it and play freestyle and get a chance to win. Now the CPU learns super fast, makes adjustments on the fly it seems, and plays ridiculously mistake free in close game situations. I have though utilized tricks more than I have in past years including throwing people right into the paint to pick up fouls and head to the line and usually only keep 1 man under the basket (thanks freakishly good John Henson!) to retrieve a rebound while everyone else sprints back otherwise the cpu will exploit you and launch a pass for a layup (although I feel like I've had just as many of those exploitation moments so far where 1 guy just beats out everyone on the court and makes a dunk or easy layup)

Personally I love the CPU on pro and all-star. Both have given me a challenge (probably somewhat due to relearning controls and being comfortable with the team) that I feel is lacking in most sports games. Tactically the AI coach is better because it will use multiple tools. It seems to give you space and then close that space, allow you to score points and after you've been lured into a false sense of offensive security, will just crush you again and have the full force of it's team press you. It makes for an enjoyable flow and pace. And it's not impossible to score either. Lost opening night to the Knicks 90-77 (although I had pulled close at 71-70 before a NY run) and then beat out Washington by 15. All about learning this year and devoting attention to scouting and playmaking more than just playing a freestyle game. 10/10 impressed

Having an interesting time with this game. One thing I am having trouble with is activating the size-up dribble consistently- it is very easy to go in to a hesitation dribble instead. Wish we could map it to a different button--perhaps that would help our slashing issues some. Has anybody else had that issue?

After switching to 2k cam (reluctantly), and following Czars advice turning on all play art, I noticed more success on All-Star sim. Calling a pick after a broken play has been key for me. I am having trouble, however a) scoring with average PG's and b) finding 3 point shooters. Hopefully I get those facets of the game more involved in time.

Love NBA 2k16. Feels a lot more real. The speed differences are a big improvement. BUT, Spike Lee broke MyCareer. Part of the fun of MyCareer is seeing how you'll play against the current NBA teams. But you only get 8 games against those teams.

I just started my second season, and players have switched teams, and there's a whole set of rookies, too. So I never get to see if my PF can beat Karl-Anthony Towns for ROY, because we're not Rookies. Even worse, we only got to play 8 games of that rookie season, so I missed out on thousands of VC that would've made me better heading into season two.

Yeah the whole first season of MC is awful. It's one thing if the story is great enough to justify totally sabotaging our rookie year, but nope...writing is bleh and the characters are all terrible people. Slight spoilers...it's one thing to have a childhood friend who's just a screw-up and needs to mature, but when they actively try to sleep with your girlfriend, threaten you with blackmail, and you STILL are like "that's my boy doe!", there's something way deeper going on. It was really hard to relate to the situation because even though its "my" career, I had zero input into how it actually played out. At least S2 supposedly opens things up.

Time to drop to all star. Lots of BS from the CPU on superstar

How are they shooting from 3% though?

Have to agree with this post, a great game is being ruined by the AI letting Bigs just walk into the paint for an easy lead pass, for every great defensive stop you have 2 or more uncontested or late contest because of a players standing out of position, got a few offensive 3 seconds calls because I had a guy standing in the paint guarding no one, and don't let me start on the 3rd quarter runs.

What is pass target presets in the controller settings?

Was just playing as the 96 Bulls vs the Cavs. I was down by 17 points at the half when I started to use the center exclusively on defense and let the cpu control everyone else. I won by 7 points.

After playing 3 different regular Play Now games and plenty of MyPlayer I must say I have never seen a game make such a HUGE leap in one year. I LOVE THIS GAME!!!! The CPU is ruthless on defense and each team plays a distinct style. One example of this is when I used the 97 Spurs against the current Spurs...they couldn't be more different. 97 Duncan plays totally different than 2015 Duncan....and it is noticable in an amazing way.

I love how the CPU adjusts on D....and the game forces you to use a different strategy throughout each quarter making each possession valuable. Cannot wait to get more games under my belt! GET THIS GAME....

I love the flow and the feel of the game. Love the defensive abilities. Seems like I'm leaving a lot of points on the floor right now. Any tips?
