I had the stance socks the first two games. Since then just generic socks.

Not sure why.

I love just about everything about this game. The only thing that needs a very slight adjustment is the contested shot percentages and grading on shots. I feel that the contested shots need a very slight boost, and that moves which create space on shots shouldn't have such low grades. I would use someone like K.D and create space on the shot while somehow his contested shot animation plays out and he ends up with like a D grade. Go into replay mode and it's clear space was created. I've even lost defenders on the spin and have a clear open mid-range shot and get a C. Open shots off of the catch and shoot on screens is lovely though. When you have the forms down it's just about automatic and feels well worth it. The contested shot percentage is so low that I could care less who i'm letting Mike Dunleavy guard on defense lol. Almost everyone feels like a stopper and I play on Hof sim. If contested shots go in slightly more, then I will have to make more of an adjustment. So please give this a slight increase 2k.

Player likeness is amazing this yr! I love playing with deandre jordan. The life-like replication is incredible! my favorite big man to play with thus far.

Offensive rebounds.... That will make players run back on defense as soon as the shot goes up.

But first things I want to say is thank god 2k change the buttons. It feels like I'm playing FIFA. Where I control the passes.. but as well as the type of pass. It helps out in every part of passing which type of pass. I drove down the middle of the court. And my offball weak side player slide down the baseline with me. Old school baseline drive baseline drift. But I was able to give a nice bounce pass to the other side of the court. I played with LeBron James (Kyrie got hurt in the second quarter). So the defense started fronting/denying everything. In old 2k's. You couldn't even throw a pass to that player. I still catch myself pressing triangle for the post lol

Speaking of post..... The post game is so unscripted. I love it so much. It really feels I contest shots on the defensive end. But I'm also give it and changing it on the other end. I love seeing the computer go for my fakes in the post.

I enjoy the My Career mode and everything on an annual basis, but my BIGGEST complaint is, if I'm a top 10 NBA Draft Talent, why in the heck is my overall just a 55?? It baffles me every year that they have the overall that low if we're being drafted that high (save for last year, going undrafted makes sense.) That is a point of frustration for me that I do NOT understand.

That aside, this game feels GREAT on defense. For the first time, I feel like I've got a chance to defend dribble moves this year. Shooting seems a bit more concise in terms of release points than before. The passing game also feels much more refined. I can run a fast break with less awkwardness than before. Still getting used to some of the new control tweaks, but overall, its a really good game.

Anybody know when roster update will come? Some rookies still not in the game like Andrew Harrison from the Grizzlies.

I love how even on rookie mode the computer tries to block you from going to the pick. It cause you to keep the defender off balance. By either crossing over and going away from the pick. Or they force you into the pick (ICE). My favorite has been splitting the pick and roll. I use to do it in past 2k's. But in this one depending the player hedging. You can consistently do it. If they are too slow. Another thing I like is the weakside switching on defense. It cause you to look to the far wide side man for shooters. And if you make a pass to your big. You get those 3 on 2's that happen so often in the NBA. With one defender scrambling to get back on his man. It's awesome. And it doesn't feel too powerful.

Like I said in my last post the defense in the post game feels so organic. The post game overall feels organic. I always feel sometime different happens when I'm posting and toasting lol.

Probably the first day of the season. Still got to go through roster cuts and rotation fixes.

This game is simply amazing. My few gripes pale in comparison to how good this game is. Awesome job (again) visual concepts. You continue to make great hires and great Hoops titles. Big homie Czar and OG did their thing.

I've played a fair bit since release and my opinion is that the game is very very good.

Really enjoying the gameplay changes/improvements. The game feels much more like a sim compared to NBA2k15. The red defensive indicator which appears when you need to switch is a brilliant addition.

Gauntlet is a fantastic inclusion. Have played more than 30 Gauntlet games and the online component, compared to NBA2k15, is like night and day. In last years iteration, it was unplayable for me, due to the terrible amount of input delay/lag (being an Aussie, this only exacerbated the problem). This is much improved in NBA2k16, with the games ranging from smooth, to minor lag. Hope the connectivity in the rest of the online components have been improved to a similar degree.

There's still bugs and glitches present and am yet to delve into the other game modes (like MyGM etc.), but so far, the game is a big step forward from last years game.

Got a few solid games in over the weekend. From my limited play sessions I would say the gameplay is greatly improved. You really need to set up you offense, move the ball, use off ball movement and adjust as the game goes on. The ball handling, posting and most importantly, the defense all feel fine tuned.

The classic rosters got some much needed attention but they still have a ways to go to give us a real next gen retro experience. That said, we finally have a solid base to work off of. Should be a much better year in that department.

The My Career is a huge swing and miss. For one, the face scan still stinks. The other game's app is far superior in this respect. Went with a CAP player. The narrative is horrible. I am not a guy from the projects names "Frequency Vibrations" (really with that name Spike?). There is no feeling that it is my career at all.

All in, the gameplay is the shining star. Very well done and very polished out the box.

This version is a blast to play and it's an incredible simulation with tons of fun modes. I just wish Pro Am worked for me (it doesn't for some reason on my PS4).

AI was improved a lot, it doesn't feel they're cheating anymore, they just play basketball.

The biggest improvement is where it matters : gameplay. This game is a 10/10.

It feels they're 10 years beyond any other sports sim including Fifa...

http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-past-cpu.html

In all honesty, the "fix" is to get better on the sticks if you are an isolation type of gamer. My suggestion is to use ball movement/icon passing as your key mode of strategic success. If you're having difficulties at a particular skill level, consider using sliders or simply dropping down to a lower level.

Plus, we have only had the game for a few days. I don't expect myself or anyone to be great at the game. There's a learning curve to the game. I personally am terrible when it comes to doing isolation plays, I can do it sometimes, but more often than not I prefer ball movement.

Also take this into account: You can overcome a challenge but you can never overcome the boredom of beating an easy unchallenging CPU.

The only real suggestion to countering the "sticking" CPU on ball defense is to get better at the sticks OR simply go with ball movement. Practice mode or running scrimmage is your best bet.

Can't say enough about the AI in this game. 07 LeBron was just amazing to play against. Took it coast to coast on multiple possessions (bulldozed Rip on the way) and was making some sweet dimes when I tried trapping him. Past games, he was either way too aggressive with jumpshots or way too passive.

Its unbelievable how nobody has mentioned the obvious CHERRY PICKING by football passes. This is the exploit of the year.

My $.02 - I mirror what many have said, I think the game is flat-out incredible. Initially I had a lot of problems adjusting to the new control scheme, and I'm still getting used to it. Once i stopped fighting the controls it's made adapting a little easier. Don't want to reiterate what others have said; here are my big positives/negatives:

Pros:
- Graphics pop more than in any NBA2K previously imo. Everything from the player likenesses to the arenas are top notch

- The bar for presentation has again been raised. I'm not too big a fan of the halftime show; seems like it's just showing mostly stock highlights of the 1st and 2nd quarters, and doesn't seem to sync up with the halftime analysis. But it's still decent. I think everything from the varied game introductions, to the improved cheerleader routines, to the between quarter interviews, to the crowds/reactions (once you turn the crowd volume up), etc. - just way beyond what other games are doing presentation-wise imo.

The various arena player introductions is something that should be played up WAY more - I saw one for the Wizards that was amazing and haven't seen one since. It's like they'll start to trigger then they don't. It sort of reminds me with what they did for 2K11, with the Michael Jordan/Bulls intro - see it once then don't see it again. It'd be a flat-out SHAME if they don't make those trigger more often, to the point where people get tired of them. Those are the types of things that should be highlighted, not buried.

- Playing the AI in a sports game has never been so enjoyable. The way players/teams play to their tendencies, make adjustments based on those tendencies... all stellar. I'm on All-Star and haven't won a game yet but having a great time working at getting better and not feeling cheated.

- Just a plethora of game modes. I've only been doing Play Now and Blacktop, trying to get used to the controls. But the amount of options in the game is almost overwhelming. Blacktop 1vs1 is great for getting a feel for a player btw

- Extensive customization options

Cons:

- Haven't seen the AI post up a lot/really attempt to work me inside except on mismatches. I know I can tune that using sliders; just stating on default I haven't seen it much.

- With a game offering this much gameplay depth, the lack of an in-game interactive tutorial or skills trainer is brutal. And a huge missed opportunity imo. I've brought every 2K since '05 and I still don't know what the various hedging options mean, the benefits to using one set defense/offense over another, etc. I do play with Full Play Art on but that's only because I heard the Czar mention it as a good way to learn - YEARS ago, before he was hired by 2K. I thought there was no way the game wouldn't have some sort of interactive tutorial this year and yet it doesn't. Not only that, they make the game deeper and offer even less information in terms of teaching people how to play their game.

2K shouldn't rely on people learning basketball fundamentals from the Youtubers, on 2KTV (which I like), or going out on their own to learn the game. Imo people simply learn the few things they feel comfortable with, develop bad habits, and stick with that. 2K absolutely has to make the effort to show people how to play the game properly. And not tie it to some mode like MyPlayer or whatever - it needs to be it's own option in an environment that encourages people to try learn the moves (can reward people with VC or accessories for completing skills training, for example).

- This goes along with my above note: how is a person supposed to know a game option exists if they don't know it's there in the first place? For example, an explanation should be provided for what a slider does and what changing it's effect will have. Think that was in previous games. Something like changing the controls to Absolute from Camera-relative makes a huge difference in how people perform moves. To my knowledge, this isn't explained. I know to switch to Absolute simply because I happened to read it here years ago. Makes me wonder how many people struggle with an already intimidating Move list because they're fighting with the control.

Overall I'm loving the game; kudos to 2K for such a stellar effort

Montages and the halftime show lack the flair they used to as well. Now it seems to just follow the ball to the hoop over and over. Or show the panned out view. They used to show alot of player emotion and follow through animations making the game feel more alive.

Guys,

I´m trying to buy the game from the US PS Store, and it only shows "Pre-Order now" any idea why?

Thanks!
