There's definitely a lateral quickness for bigs issue. I don't want to be able to break guys down all the time but if I get a slow-footed big to switch onto a quick dribbler, I should be able to create space for a shot or drive. As it stands, with the combination of really low shotmaking abilities with the bigs having too much lateral quickness, switching isn't really a problem for the AI.

This is one things that has been blowing me away. I have not touch any settings.... I pretty sure I'm playing Pro. That's the default setting right?

Aside from some instances where the D is obvious sliding- especially on SS...I get a lot of blow bys in different ways:

Spoiler

Not to spam those, but I just wanted to point out that there are ways to attack.

Now if anyone could help me on how to finish better around the rim that'd be great...its been spotty at best...

The game is (imho) really, really good. And a lot harder, but in a good way.

It has some weak spots (badge progression doesn't keep up with rating progression for young players in MyGM and MyLeague, and contracts don't quite feel right because players have been undercharging me even with the increased cap), but the good outweighs the bad easily.

Some of my favorite things so far:

* Discovering that Kyrie is a poor PnR defender, and then running him through tons of picks just to see him suffer (I swear he aims directly for the screener).

* Realizing that I have to make adjustments for Tyson Chandler's ability to finish the PnR. Never seen him make such a big impact before.

* Giving up tons of points because my team full of poor defenders is terrible at rotating, after watching Tyson make tons of perfect rotations...

* Watching guys change their driving behavior based on the presence of a room protector.

* Being helpless against a LeBron-Love pick and pop, over and over and over, because LeBron made the right decision every time.

I could go on.

anyone on PC actually have their pre-order bonuses?

2K won't give an official response, Ronnie and LD2K have ignored every tweet about it while retweeting and responding to every positive tweet (great way to listen to the community), and 2K Support is worthless

i have the same reasonable issues
i see others have with clipping & glitches
and other minor issues. but outside of
legacy issues this is a much better game.
as far as Spike Lee and the
"why they black when i'm not?"
i don't know what to say about it
other than it was an interactive movie
and i hope 2k improves their method.
haven't played other modes outside of
MyCareer which is a first for me but
i can say once you get past rookie yr
you can choose a secondary nickname
and a new twitter handle if you want to
but "freq" and that dumb dance remains.
as far as "worst sports game" comments
well, EA Live would love your business &
the 2k community will not miss you at all.

Another that pissed me off last night.... No Rasheed Wallace on the pistons.... WTF is that about. Didn't he just retire. I was like "why the **** is Darko starting?" lol

Blocks are very satisfying. It feels so good when you send a shot out of bounds or off the back board

I'm just loving how I have to play how players play in real life to be successful, I cant just drive in all day with a guy like Kobe, and I cant just take 3s all day with Lebron and have success, this is really a game that you have to know players strength and weaknesses to have success, and I love it.

I have so many bad habits to break from past 2k games.

I've had a full weekend of 2K16 so I wanted to leave my thoughts as well. I'm a strict My Career/Park/Pro-Am player so don't expect me to mention My Team, My GM, Play Now, etc. RANT ALERT!

Stat Caps: The stat caps are amazing! No more 7 foot small forwards or centers with Iverson handles. Even though 2K still allows any position to select those infamous dribbling animations but the acceleration from dribbling to sprinting has been DRAMATICALLY reduced depending on height. I love this.

I noticed that your playmaker column needs to be at a 72+ for you to begin to have the same acceleration out of a crossover as a sub 6'4" tall PG. I have a 6'6" SG and his MAXED OUT playmaking barely reaches a 73. So even with maxed out playmaking, I cant dribble as good as shorter PGs. Even if a demi-god glitch shows up (it already has) once they touch the attributes, the system restricts anything from taking affect.

Defense: Defense is OP this year! I can defend almost anyone off the dribble this year as opposed to last. Shot blocking is euphoric. They put a lot of thought into it this year.

Balanced Gameplay: I assume due to the defense boost and stat caps, people actually play as a team in the park! I played against a lot of randoms and the best teams were those who rotated the ball and took smart high percentage shots. No half court threes. No rebound cheesers. No unstoppable dunking. No complaints.

Smarter AI: The My Carreer AI is perfect so far to me. The CPU is a challenge but not in a cheesy way like 2k15. On the other hand, the My Career team mates are NOT complete idiots this year. They play normally, and very well I might add, if I abide by the team basketball mindset. I've won several games without having to drop 40+ every night like in 2K15.

Music: Gawd. 2K got it right. I love 99% of the soundtrack this year. It's all fitting of a basketball game even with a few instrumentals thrown in. That Pharelle soundtrack from last year was the antithesis of the basketball culture. Good riddance.

Those are my biggest pros. Other things I loved include the My Court mode, the new courts/modes within My Park, overall presentation and Spike Lee's influence on the story this year.

The only cons I have are the Stance socks glitch (unable to equip in mycareer games after you win the endorsement), inaccurate face scans (even though the process is much easier this year) and those My Park Cards (why 2k??)

Okay I need to take a step back from All Star and play Pro again. I was worried because I blew out a team in my only game on Pro, but maybe it was just one of those games and I need to play at that level again because All Star is killing me and the only way I can score is by basically nerfing any real team play and making everything about dunking the basketball. I have no confidence in my guys hitting open jumpers.

I'm not entirely happy about the CPU Point guards having this insane ability to zip passes from the perimeter to a well-guarded big man under the basket with ease. It's impossible to stop. It's just an easy two points for the CPU.

Maybe it's just an AS and above problem. I don't know but to Pro I go before that thing frustrates me to the point I don't care about the good in the game.

Satisfying and demoralizing on the receiving end. Driving the lane with a pg with bigs under the rim is not wise this year.

Me too. I'm not one of those 2K Black Belts, and I'm having blast playing on Pro. I've only blown out the CPU a few times, and lost a few as well. Seems a good level for me at the moment.

I hope this question is suitable for this thread. I've really only been an mlb the show gamer the last few years on the PS3. I always buy nba2k and every time i wind up disappointed in the game play. controls feel clunky. it's just awful.

the videos for this game look awesome and i want to buy it. I will also be buying a new console. What's the best console to play this game on, XBoxOne or PS4, and why? If i could be convinced that the game play is exactly the same on both i'd lean PS4, but if it's clearly better on XBoxONe then i'll go that direction...

can anyone offer up some help/advice/opinions on this topic?

thanks

It's about the same on both consoles. Controller preference and friends/online is your deciding factor.

But, I will say, if you thought 2k in the past had clunky controls, I'm not sure this game changes that.
