While this is true, distinctions can be made between certain players, the player models are still not very good in my opinion. Do full body scanning (not just upper body) and add more body sliders like the very early NBA 2K games had. Allow the user to select the body type they want, and don't have that just for MyPlayer. Allow it for CAP and Edit Player. Why is this so important? Because if you play long enough in a MyLeague or MyGM, ultimately every player still have the same look body wise. It's also important for those who just like to replicate what they see as close add they can. Upper body scans alone is not good enough, but it is a good start. The thing is though, seeing a player who's upper body was scanned but not their lower body looks absolutely ridiculous and Andre Drummond's player model is a perfect example of that. It's like they scanned a few lower body's of players, but didn't match them correctly with a players upper body relative to hire that player looks in real life. Again, just look at Drummond. Reality is, if they had body sliders for various parts of the body like they use to have back in the day, and adding weight to a player actually added weight and was actually noticeable, they wouldn't even need to do body scanning.

I've had more success with other teams than my Spurs online....I can't seem to hit the 3 consistently and that's a big part of our game.....some of these are wide open too..

Shot meter has the release at right out side the perfect bar every time and I'm clanking them!

SS Sim needs some serious balancing imo. Besides any even lightly guarded shot being clank city, the tendencies are off.

Here's a shot chart of Houston and Philadelphia, 2 of the most 3-and-key focused teams in the NBA, after a 12 minute quarter CPU-CPU game:

BTW that shot-by-zone chart is seriously one of the best additions to this game. So easy to track trends.

After playing this for 2 days straight. I have to give it up to 2K.

I was skeptical about the improvements pre-release and just chalked it up to the annual hype, but this is really the best 2K I've played since 2K11.

I was planning on getting Black Ops 3 later this year but at this point it looks like I'm going to be logging so many hours into this game I won't have time for anything else.

On another note the follow through on jumpshots just look absolutely amazing. I shot a three with James Jones and as soon as he released the ball he ran back on defense. Stuff like that just really makes the game look authentic.

THE GAME IS GREAT! NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT.

I just noticed a few small things that would make a huge impact on the whole experience.

1. Beyond the 6 minute mark of a quarter, there will be no more sweat from the players. Zero sweating...

2. There will be no more highlights beyond the 9 minute mark. There will be no highlights for the Jordan Player of the Game, no more highlights in the game stats menu.

One thing I just LOVE is the body language they implemented on follow throughs, the falling 3s are delicious.

Oh while I didn't know that shot chart thing was even in the game. I am going to have to find that now and use it has a way to change up my d when I am playing the CPU if they are killing me from one area I will try to get them out of that area sweet!

Wow. That is great. I didn't even bother clicking the shot chart because I thought it'd be the usual hard to read graphic. This is what we see with the nicer charts after real games. Awesome.

There is a workaround on the PS4 to get highlights for the player of the game for MyGM and MyLeague games, but not exhibition play now games.

1) Get to the third quarter's first inbound play.
2) Quit and Save.
3) Exit the entire game (close out game).
4) Fire up the game and continue the saved game. You should now see player of the game highlights during the post game.

The CPU defnsive adjustments are a massive step forward in CPU AI.

Well done Da Czar.

Was killing the Cavs with Rose...and they put LeBron on him.

Massive step forward. The AI really is great this year.

Love the game. Totally next gen. The AI is waaaay next level stuff. I played a game with Minnesota and they have a good young lineup, not including KG, but he is a key to the team. He is KG and plays like himself, totally a defensive anchor.

The one things that disappoints me is the father that there is no playoff mode that I have found. Basically I want to take the old teams and make a best of all time playoffs. If someone has a way around this, please let me know.

2k take my money, please

Played with some of the historic teams. The t wolves were fun to play with garnett, cassell, and sprewell. It was only right to also try out the t mac, vince carter raptors.

Online play has been good so far but i wish there was a seperate search or lobby for tier 3 teams. Nobody picks them and i would like to see more matchups from those teams.

They removed the face up drive.

MWP is done (so good to have him in the game already though).

Lot more zip to passing.

Players take smaller steps, improves the spacing a lot.
I believe the faceup drive is still there. Let go of L2 in the post to faceup. In rhythm with the faceup animation, move the LS in the direction you want to go while holding R2 to explode.

I can't express enough how much I dislike them changing the passing this year. I loved the way we threw bounce passes and ally oops last year but now turning passing into 3 separate buttons is such a pain. Plus I liked how Triangle used to change from posting up to facing up but now we gotta hold down the L2 to change from facing the hoop to posting up.

I feel like these changes weren't necessary and things like lob passes could have been implemented better than creating it's own face button for it.

The controls are really the only thing I'm not a fan of about this game. Everything else is great.

When need to creat an exclusive Online Quick Match thread to talk about cheese and glitches and flaws. This mode is full of flaws that are destroying the SIM experience.

Keep practicing. Took me a,day to get it down! I'm surprised, in the old 2k games they had alternate controls. Heck in 2k11 and 12 you could even disable shot stick and make the right stick for dribbling.

Why not now ? Hmmmm

LOL

My wife and I had the same interaction yesterday. I literally played 2K16 all day yesterday, from sun up to sun down. I haven't done that with a video game since GRAW 2 first came out on the PS3.

I think I saw an option for it that you can. Let me check.

EDIT: Under Controller Settings, change the Pro Stick option (second from the top) to Dribble Moves.
