What's weird is MSG seems REALLY bright, when I think it's one of the darker arenas.
Well, I'm playing it on my Vita using remote play so that may be contributing to it looking awesome during the half time highlights.

It does look a bit more "realish" or "filmy" in some respects. Which is why I'd like them to push the brightness more in that direction. It looks like some sort of post-process effect. Wonder if that's why the framerates seem significantly worse.

For those of you on Twitter often , are people complaining about it being too difficult to score yet?

Don't know about Twitter but on Reddit I've seen a couple of complaints about the difficutly. However, in general people love the challenge this year.

For example;

Look at MikeB's great response.

Game is amazing. Might be the best 2k ever. Love the soundtrack as well.

Although I have a couple of things that I'd love to see changed/fixed.

1. In game substitution menu. I have no idea why they changed it.. it is terrible. Not only does it take too long to switch players but sometimes some players dont show up (mostly centers)

2. No music playing after timeouts. After I call a TO, it gets completely silence. I'd love to hear some of the soundtrack music when I call the TO.

3. When I turn down commentary volume, I cant hear the Half-time and Post-game show (ernie, shaq and kenny are talking, but i cant hear a thing). Although I can hear the pre-game show and the doris burke interviews just fine. Minor, but incredibly annoying. I dont want to have to turn on commentary in game just to hear the halftime/postgame show

Wow. I'm livid right now. That new smell is quickly wearing off.

I just got kicked out of an offline MyCareer game and was told some features require online access. What?!!! How does that require online access?!

I can't access 2k store for the life of me.

I play a lot of online h2h games and I should be 7-2, but only three of those are appearing on my record. Frustrating to say the least.

Got it and popped it in yesterday before I went to a HSFB game. The intro left me very impressed, I liked that a lot. I decided to play a game first before I started with my career, and I noticed that it had a completely different feel to it. I sucked, terribly. Then I popped into the tutorial and practice mode and started off my My Career.

My career looks great so far the story is good so far (not even out of college after I played today). But I have a twin black sister. Wouldn't normally have a problem with that if I wasn't white, but I'm white. Still not that important to me, it's a minor detail. I dominate my first two high school games, which wee a bit of a learning experience before I played my first online game. The guy quit when I was up big in the 3rd

Played my next online game today, I struggled Kobe couldn't hit a thing. So with 9 seconds to go I inbounded at half court down by 1 and gave it to D. Russell and had a clean after I dribbled past the defender but instead of a layup he fades back away from the basket and misses the shot. It was terrible but a good game.

First off offline against the cpu beautiful game good repesention of nba basketball but online different story

The good
Good connectivity easy to find a match, defense is much better

The bad
Jump shoot is off for no reason wide open mid range shots with good shooters.

Most off the scoring comes off fast breaks no matter what team or type of player its unrealistic

Hard set up offensive sets cause the off ball movement just stop all of a sudden

Inside scoring seems to be only option if all your shooters cold
Defense recovers to quickly

Has Anyone been able to have success in the post with the new controls?

# 351 swac07 @ 09/26/15 06:22 PM
To make the game open up more follow czar tip on turning see plays "All" function on in the coaches mode. It helped me with freelance and my offense opened up more because I could see what players were supposed to do...caught some pretty good mismatches and open shots for players coming of screens...this is for those who are struggilng with scoring

Online this year has been FLAWLESS. Absolutely no lag. It stutters every so often but after multiple games i have ZERO imput delay this year. Ridiculously good

I think I'm at the point where I'm going to blow out the cpu on pro (maybe) or get blown out on All Star.

Welp. Means I'm going to be very angry playing this game.

But challenge accepted.

Yes, I agree! The on the fly substitution menu is HORRIBLE! I hate to say something negative that strongly, but it can be enraging and frustrating. The icons aren't even consistent (r stick direction), I can barely see which direction they are indicating, and the dang thing screen will disappear too fast if it takes me too long to figure it out. I used to be able to make all the subs I wanted during or before a FT. Now I can barely get one, if I don't mess that up?!? Just not intuitive at all. I miss the old way very much.

Here's a compromise I would suggest:

Let me pull up the menu the same and then scroll up and down to the position (PG through C) to the position I want to sub with the R stick, and cycle through available subs with the right stick (Left to Right) somehow? I really think up/down for position and cycling left/right would provide the most efficient results.

I'd imagine if we did a poll on it, it would be at least 80% would strongly dislike this thing.

It's harder to score in the post. That's for sure. But, I've had more success by being patient. If you just try to spin move and hook, you're going to miss the shot or have it rejected.

Gotta get the big men to commit or get yourself into a dominant position.

Also mismatches seem to be huge. Remember, defense matters more this year so if you're up against a good defensive big man, you're probably going to lose the battle more times than not.

I think the improvements to the gameplay are noticeable, but there are some things that still need adjustments: the spacing is still off at times and I had some players right under the basket trying to pass the ball outside. The thing I really don't like is the Spike Lee story: it's a lot of useless cutscenes that don't lead to anything and we have no option to make our own choices (I really wanted to play college at least 2 years). If you create an Asian or white player they should've changed the family as a whole...it's really weird having a black sister when you are a completely different skin color. Some of the dialogues are really cheesy. In general I liked the feel of last year's MC. It's also a pain to have to play online 8 games in your first season and being not able to interact with your agent or owner (I really wanna tell Vic to go **** himself, but you don't have any decisional power over the story).

Love, love, loving this game!

Played four games so far:

Lost as Kings to the Lakers (just learning new controls)

Won as 2002 Mavs vs 2001 Sixers (Iverson went off, Dirk hit a couple of post up fadeaways to seal it)

Won as Old Timerwolves (Garnett and Cassell) vs Old Pistons (Billups, Hamilton, etc)

As the Warriors, Lost in Double-OT @ the Blazers. Lillard went off with a double-double.

The game plays terrifically, there were very, very, few head-scratching moments. Great game though, they deserve a lot of praise.

I'm playing as the cavs against the warriors, was down 12 in the second battled back and finally tied it in the third midway through. I feel like I'm really slowing curry down with shump and delly, I hid kyrie on Harrison barnes seems to work so far. I took a break from the game to take a phone call and I wsa jus looking through the stats, and like I said 2 mins lift in the 3rd tied 70-70 feeling like I took steph out, he only has 6 points, buttttttt 15 assists. All my pressure on him has led to him tearing me up in another way. Have to appreciate that I'm trying to take away his scoring and like a true star is finding another way to stay competitive and hurt me

I wholeheartedly disagree with those that don't like the new OTF Sub Menu. I think it's great, and after a week or 2 of getting used to it, I think a majority will come to the same conclusion. I'm pretty sure the players location in regards to the RS is fixed, so once you get comfortable with it and learn which player is where, you'll be able to sub players in without even looking at the menu.

Also, with it moved from the D-Pad to the RS, you never have to take your thumb off the LS, so your player isn't standing around looking like an idiot while you're trying to find who you wanna sub out/in. This is just that disease of new, where something has been the same for so long, that we're so used to it, and a change is met with negativity. Give it some time, and I bet ppl are gonna love it in the end.

So second game again pro sim and I lost by 31. I was only down by 4 at half time but got killed in the second half and Thunder ended the game with 76 points in the paint. Yes 76 you heard me! Also having a hard time figuring out the Pick and rule controls this year. I have always felt like the controls in 2k are overly complex and this year no different.
