Madden NFL 15 News Post


Madden NFL 15 title update #2 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users. The PlayStation 4 patch is 281 MB, while the Xbox One patch is 3.1 GB. Looking at the update history on the PlayStation 4 patch, it only shows minor stability and bug fixes.

When EA Sports and the Madden NFL 15 team send out the details, this post will be updated.

UPDATE: Here are the patch details.

XBOX ONE AND PS4 CHANGES:

- Fixed or enhanced multiple team uniforms
- Added tuning adjustments to offline Connected Franchise Mode, matching Online CFM hot fixes
- Added a “Slim” Play Call option
- Added the ability to button through the entire halftime presentation
- Added button prompt to defensive play call to inform the user they can back out to pick their play before the offense does
- Tuned down QB accuracy for lower tiered QB's, especially on passes under 10 yards
- Addressed issue where the formation name would not update during no huddle situations
- Improved line shifting functionality out of defensive camera
- Defensive Play Call timer has been extended to 15 seconds
- Addressed issue where users only had 10 seconds to call a play vs. the AI
- Improved defensive adaptive AI
- Added QB signature passing styles
- Addressed issue where reading keys against the read option wasn't working on All-Madden difficulty
- Added logic for receivers that prevents the wrong animation from triggering during catchable passes
- Added logic to prevent multiple ways of grieving during online games
- Improved logic in CFM when determining who the starting RT should be
- Addressed an issue where the user would fail when punting the ball out of bounds on the Medium Coffin Corner drill
- Addressed an exploit where users could put WR's at the TE position on the depth chart inside of MUT
- General improvements to Madden Messenger
- General improvements to commentary logic
- Multiple CoachGlass improvements
- Fixed an issue where the user’s play would sometimes be auto-selected on defense

your right, i have experienced this on hail marys as well, thats the only play.

I don't know which ones they added, but I do know the reigning MVP and best QB in the game Peyton Manning is still glitched. Please fix this EA.

Whoa. Just because people play online doesnt mean we don't like realism. Cmon man. We just want to play a realistic football against other people. The chess game is in the game this year with the play calling and pre-snap adjustments. The CPU AI offers nothing to that. It's quite boring if you are serious play caller and you realize the CPU only has a handful of plays for each situation for example. At least a human can audible or change if it doesnt work over and over. CPU never will. Not to mention the stick stills battle.

Yeah, I noticed the qb stance style immediately, but the ai still holds on to the ball too long. I've only played one game so far, but both me and the ai qb have 77/75% completion percentages.

Playing online right now. As Colts vs a Cowboys user. 14-6 at half. Held him to FG attempts. Using spotlight on my mismatches to cover Witten and Bryant when I suspected them and Murray when I suspected run or screen. Worked good in the run game. I swapped OLBs in all nickle and dime sets so Mathis goes against their weaker RT. Got my a clutch user sack. Offensively I can audible based on his safety alignment and move down the field realistically. No glitches needed. Luck is 7/7 for 150 yards.

I wish they'd patch dropped INTs. They are still scared to punish people for horrible reads consistently. Had to have dropped at least 5-6 already. Love the swats I'm seeing when I highlight through. Everyone converges if that player gets ball.

I just witnessed a sack - CPU v. CPU where Safety Roman Harper of the Panthers lines up over Steeler's center Pouncey and at the snap of the ball Harper essentially tosses Pouncey to one side and runs untouched to sack the QB....

Anyone noticing, similar cases, where someone other than a DL player is lined up on the line and the offensive lineman essentially is unable to block the player?

May be a fluke, but then may be a bug; and since i am in play now, I am not sure which plays were called by each side.

- Tuned down QB accuracy for lower tiered QB's, especially on passes under 10 yards

I use coach mode (don't control the players) and the problem wasn't lower tiered QB's being too accurate, it was all QB's being too accurate and not just on passes under 10 yards.

I haven't played a game post patch but I wonder if they fixed the problem.

I am a longtime ****** Madden player (Super Nintendo) and this years Madden is challenging for me on Pro sadly enough... that being said, I don't have sack issues either... maybe I'm that terrible but I doubt it.

IMO the biggest game breaker is Offline CFM's financial issues. The massive TV revenue profit sharing that keeps the NFL so competitive is nowhere to be seen in this game. The funds concept makes no sense with teams well below the cap. This isn't an MLB game EA.

Did anyone else get the prompt from EA asking to rate the game when they've started the game? I got a pop-up last night asking me to rate the game and give an explanation of why I gave the rating I did (i.e. Which mode sucked the most)... sounds like another patch is on the horizon. So far I feel pretty cheated by this game... I should have waited.

That's unfortunate. My problem is on all pro I can't lose and on Madden I can't win. I guess I need better sliders on Madden although I would prefer the developers to release a game which doesn't need massive slider adjustments.

I'm guessing the user quarterback doesn't run still either?

Twitter. One of the developers is pretty good about always responding to my questions and comments.

It is interesting that originally he stated that they investigated the matter and found no problems.

After myself and a few others made a few comments he then acknowledged that there may be a problem but he implied that it is one that is too big for a patch. Nothing against the guy because I am thankful for his involvement but I am not buying it. I think they just overlooked it and are covering their rear.

I asked for some possible suggestions so that we the users may alleviate the problem, e.g. does QB acc slider affect behavior, traits, etc but he avoided answering that.

If they weren't now they are definitely aware of the issue now and how unhappy we are about it. But clint is a good guy and I try not to bash him or anything.

Is that actually true though? A real team's share of league revenue is enough to cover the salary cap, which is actually why the league can mandate a minimum on team spending (a salary floor.). The difference between big and small market teams comes down to not only the costs of doing business (maintnence, inventory, team/stadium staff, facilities leases, etc noe of which is in game) which in addition to owners' greed and appeal of their particular market affects what they can offer in bonus money and what they can afford to upgrade.

The way the game is structured, a bump in revenue share (maybe just to $2-4 million still far short of the real figure) would be enough to better reflect the real life salary situation. All the better if facility upgrades were made a little more expensive to compensate for this.

When I opened Madden to play, it prompted me to download an update. I thought cool, but it took a while due to the size.
