I'll be honest, in context that Varejão satanding around thing doesn't bother me that much. Kyrie made a beeline straight to him. Seen guys give their PG room to go after a broken play. Not perfect, but not that crazy either,

There is no such thing as Perfection in videogames! The NBA 2K team knows this and that's what keeps them focused and motivated on improving the game every year. This to me is why I think it's the best sports game in existence. They know there is always room for improvement and strive for it year after year. Also keep in mind guys they are working on a short dev cycle compared to games like GTA. What they manage to add in such a short time frame is remarkable to me.

@ojandpizza

maybe 2K can implement what PES used to(? no idea been a while since I bought a new soccer game) have where you can adjust chest, arms, legs thickness...

They say the camera adds 10 pounds, it definitely does, and the wide screen TVs make it even worse..

I get what you're arguing, it could be better.. But just a couple years ago everyone was bitching they were too big, this "too skinny" looks much more realistic IMO, and we won't see "perfection" until we can literally change arm size, chest size, waist size, shoulder size, etc all independently on our own.

Just check the alternative from the EA sports videos they've released.. Everyone one has David Robinson shoulders and giant muscles emerging from their jersey when they lift their arms, it's the same complaint everyone had about 2K a couple years ago.

For example, someone everyone complains about is Noah, but when you aren't looking at him from the side (where everyone's arm looks biggest) his arm really isn't that big.

And for comparisons here, not on the basketball court, his forearm isn't any bigger than this girls.

These guys in general just aren't near as big as what everyone thinks they are from watching TV. There are a certain few who are, but 90% of the league is not.. We don't need a game where everyone looks like Karl Malone, far more inaccurate than a select few players looking "too skinny".

The gameplay has always been 2ks saving grace imo. Best sports game ever made . 2k14 was buggy online to boot but the gameplay always made me come back no matter what. It mimics the real game as close as a fan could possibly want

I thought the video was solid and the game looks extremely promising. Won't over analyze such a short video, but I believe people's expectations are just way too high.

Year - to - year the NBA 2K series won't drastically change (much like other annual releases like Assassin's Creed or Call or Duty), but over time will make steady improvements and expand the game in different ways. Just the way it is going to be with an annual sports title, fellas. Especially one that is so unique and difficult to recreate like NBA basketball.

Exactly.. It's not like they take 4 years off like GTA to make such large leaps and bounds. IMO they do a pretty damn good job.

Yet, even the core gameplay in GTA has remained the same over the last decade and a half. The technology and graphical fidelity have just improved in leaps and bounds around it, IMO. I still love the hell out of both (GTA & NBA 2K) titles, though.

The many places the series can still make huge improvements (IMO) is in artificial intelligence, play calling, individual team offensive/defensive systems, collision detection/player interactions/physics, more expansive player moves/animations, re-introducing the D - League and bringing back the Summer (League) Circuit into MyCareer/MyGM/MyLeague.

Pretty big list and I think most will be addressed or improved throughout this console cycle. Even still, the game will never be perfect or please everyone but I'll be happy with no missteps like NBA 2K4.

I like that 2K is making minor improvements to its already winning formula. On the many short gameplay videos I've seen which might be around 6-8 minutes there has been at least 5 new animations shown which were realistic and smooth to me.

Add 4995 more as 2K has added over 5000 new animations this year.

I beg to differ from that. I went to watch Team USA vs Team DR here in New York's exhibition game and Demarcus Cousins, Faried, Drummond just to name a few seemed big to me.

Every shot was a contested low percentage shot, but every shot went in except the one miss which was a foul lmao. Same $#!T just a different year. disheartening, I want a legit basketball experience.

Can we please improve floor spacing?? Why is everyone bumping into each other? That is something that needs serious work..They might need to make the court bigger.Or work on the AI..

There were only 3 shots made in that video. Durant with a fallaway (which is not a "low percentage shot" for him when it creates that kind of room), Kyrie with a pull up in the lane (good contest, but Kyrie is good at those stop-n-pops and it was only a 13-14 ft shot), and the Love layup which was kind of wonky looking and I could understand having gripes with. But it certainly wasn't like every shot was some crazy animation that always went in. There's a good look from 3 for the Cavs early in the video that clangs on the rim (really like the rebound animation following that). Don't really think you can make that claim off of 3 made shots and 4 mins of video.

2k11 still had the best floor spacing . Anyone agree?

This shouldn't be an issue if the bigs would do a automatic tiny pick animation.....still get a bit of Mario running...

It just seems like the AI is aware of the ball and their defender, but not so much their teammates. They react and try to spot up in relation to the ball and their defender, but whenever two of them get the same idea and go to the same spot, they don't seem to recognize that they are standing right on top of each other.

As much as anything, the AI players need to be aware of their teammates and not bunch up. That allows one defender to play the passing lanes for both guys and puts you, as a ball handler, at a big disadvantage.

Court and player size don't really matter IMO...it's more about the behavior of your team mates..

It's something 2k really needs to continue to dial in on...
