NBA 2K15 News Post

We recently had a chance to interview Rob Jones, Sr. Producer Visual Concepts and Erick Boenisch, Sr. Producer, Visual Concepts to talk about a new mode for NBA 2K15 called MyLEAGUE, exclusive for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Before we get into the interview, here is a quick rundown on some of the options. In a nutshell, it’s the Association Mode that we all know and loved on old-gen consoles, on steroids.

MyLEAGUE offers both a single season or up to an 80 year franchise experience. You will have complete control over every aspect of how your league plays out.

Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!! Full control back and I can't stop dancing. I honestly can't believe this has just happened. My goodness the injury system sounds legit, custom rosters saved locally, draft classes AND NO VC!!!!!!!!!!

This is only the first taste of how much we've been listening to you, what you liked and what bothered you for 2K14. There's a lot more of that coming.

Also, this article has a LOT of tidbits the chew on. Have fun!

That's a great anouncement and the way you described things to be played out in this mode are definitely phenomenal. Appreciate it all and thank you. I'll definitely get in to Offline MyLeague Mode with these configs.

But Online Leagues Mode is a part of this and you should give us more detailed info about our beloved Mode, please.

F.e will we have a website and stuff ?

I'm finally happy offline association gets the mode its fans have been asking for on OS for quite some time now, but lets not get things misconstrued here, YOU GUYS ARE NOT the majority and never will be when you break down the demographics of folks that play NBA 2K.
LOL you have to chill man. I'm a crew guy just like you. Just let the "association guys" be happy with what they got no need to turn this into whos the majority and who is not lol

stop with the dam online league/crew stuff...that news has been said its coming later 14224 times

Love the new injury feature, but I feel we're getting excited about modes that we had but were taken away from us (crews and association). Saving modes locally was there last gen. Editing rosters, VC not dominating modes were things we had. Like I said the injury feature is great. But we had many of these features before and now we're rejoicing about getting them back?

I've always been positive about 2K but I have to be fair. I need to see more to get excited. But I am glad they're listening to the community.

Judging by them dodging my question, online leagues haven't been fixed.

Cool. Could you tell me how exactly you came to that "5-6000" number? What data did you use to quantify it? Do you work for 2k? Because it's either inside knowledge or an uneducated guess.... My money is on the latter.

LOL. Where did you get those BS numbers? 5-6k. I have access to the internet and Live and PS+ and I have no interest in a online league. There are also millions who own current and next gen systems who dont even have Live or PS+.

48 million people have purchased Live (total number not current subscribers) and over 80 million Ones and 360s have been sold. So at the most 45% of Xbox owners dont have an internet service and arent interested in online play. AT BEST.

I hope that we can get more data about online leagues apart from that short info.

Doesnt this answer your question:

"However, for those wanting to play online, we have added requested functionality to Online Leagues as well working heavily on the stability of the mode. NBA 2K15 has benefited from lessons learned last year, improved online support both from first party and internal changes, as well as a full QA cycle on the mode."

Awesome initial announcement!

# 114 Jakeness23 @ 08/07/14 04:47 PM
80 years? Holy hell. You know what would help with that? Yep, the same thing I preach for every sports game. Expansions, relocations (ability to edit teams from top to bottom; jerseys, colors, logos, etc, including current teams). But that may be a lost cause.

# 115 Malcd9583 @ 08/07/14 04:47 PM
Dam with everything being online connected I don't understand why this mode isn't able to be used with friends online.

WHATS THE POINT OF HAVING AN XBOX LIVE SUBSCRIPTION IF COMPANIES LIKE 2K SPORTS ARE JUST GOING TO ***** FOOT AROUND AND NOT TAILOR ALL OF THEIR GAMEPLAY TO BOTH ONLINE AND OFFLINE MODES? PEOPLE LIKE ONLINE MULTIPLAYER, MAKE MYLEAGUES ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. WILL ONLINE LEAGUES MODE HAVE THE SAME CONTROLLING ABILITY AS MYLEAGUES MODE? AND WILL IT ALSO ALLOW YOU TO GO UP TO 80YEARS? IF NOT THEN DON'T WASTE MY TIME WITH YOUR BULL****!!!!!!!!!!

Once again it will feel like you're actually getting something substantial for your money--a fully featured and functional core game mode that you can play regardless of your internet connection or the status of their unpredictable servers. Basketball gaming is back without the unnecessary headaches of connectivity and Virtual Currency. I went from definitely won't buy to definitely will buy, so mission accomplished, 2K.

For all the ONLINE ONLY players - today's announcement was not for you. There is more to come. Can you let us association guys have our moment?
