NBA 2K15 MyLEAGUE Interview

We recently had a chance to interview Rob Jones, Sr. Producer Visual Concepts and Erick Boenisch, Sr. Producer, Visual Concepts to talk about a new mode for NBA 2K15 called MyLEAGUE, exclusive for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Before we get into the interview, here is a quick rundown on some of the options. In a nutshell, it’s the Association Mode that we all know and loved on old-gen consoles, on steroids.

MyLEAGUE offers both a single season or up to an 80 year franchise experience. You will have complete control over every aspect of how your league plays out.

I had the biggest smile on my face after reading this! No VC, more options, robust player creation (can't wait to use this for MyCareer), injuries are more spread out among 16 body parts AND affects how you draft players! Oh man, honestly did not see this much depth coming.

Because its not that simple and probably because a feature with this much customization is difficult to do online.

YES! This is what I wanted sounds great. Please keep this in and keep working on it 2k, sounds great. Can you have cpu vs cpu games in this mode?

Yeah, but if you don't like to control every team's move like, which I don't because I like to focus on my Knicks lol, then you really want to know the CPU is smart enough to do logical moves.

FYI, I'm banning anyone who attempts to derail this thread and doesnt add something constructive to the thread. You can have issues with this feature but we wont turn this into an EA/2k, Online/Offline or bash thread.

I'm going to be optimistic here - typically they save the best for last (especially 2K who milks everything PR wise). So the fact that they give much depth for OFFLINE early on - they must have something bigger and better to reveal. I suspect you will have your day...

this is so great, No VC was probably the biggest improvement. The injuries thing sounds interesting as well. #thankyou2K.. now all I hope is the gameplay is better

You dont have to control every teams move. Just use the veto function and stop the trade that way.

You have to give credit to these guys for keeping a connection with the fan base. Sometimes things aren't implemented how we wanted or maybe even how they really wanted but the effort is there. Obviously this is a pretty huge announcement and a pretty impressive way to kick off the pre-launch info season.

It's going to be fun to hear what's in store for year 2 of next gen. I think most of us remember how huge of a leap 2k7 was in comparison to 2k6 on the PS3 and Xbox360.

@bx you dont need to do that, if you turn down the money importance slider or w/e it actually is, superstars wills top going to lottery teams because they get offered the max

I LOVED Everything I Read

Sucks I can't get my PS4 and NBA 2K15 until Christmas

We can set CPU Difficulty for Trades , Contract , Resignings , and Blockbuster trades

And we can PLAY 80 years
