NBA 2K15 News Post

We recently had a chance to interview Rob Jones, Sr. Producer Visual Concepts and Erick Boenisch, Sr. Producer, Visual Concepts to talk about a new mode for NBA 2K15 called MyLEAGUE, exclusive for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Before we get into the interview, here is a quick rundown on some of the options. In a nutshell, it’s the Association Mode that we all know and loved on old-gen consoles, on steroids.

MyLEAGUE offers both a single season or up to an 80 year franchise experience. You will have complete control over every aspect of how your league plays out.

I have high hopes for this and the execution of this mode is as good as 2k is putting out there and not bugged and glitches seven ways from Sunday, it also gets me amped if there's even half of these features make it to the WWE 2k game in universe mode

id like to see a section of 2kshare for myleague saves, where we can upload our current myleague and others can play off of it

--say if i got to 2016 and got bored but someone loved where the league was at in it they could DL and play mine

Totally different games, consoles and franchise modes.

Can we trade cash exceptions this year to make certain trades work? And is amnesty in?

In the real NBA, you can't trade cash to make up for differences player salary, so I doubt you can in this

What about in the draft? Cash exceptions do get traded for picks (which is what I was referring to but it didn't come across right lol)

It is weird, though, that a basketball game is the first sport this generation to have a wear-and-tear injury system that can affect a player's ratings in the long-term, while we are still stuck with antiquated injury systems in collision-heavy sports games like Madden NFL and EA NHL.

Hopefully this inspires the collision sports games to get their injury systems up to par next year.
Yes! The new injury feature adds so much depth! The fact there is potential for long term impact and/or degredation is great. This along with team chemistry will really add value to decision making via drafting, free agent signings, etc.

Glad there are sliders for all these options too. Curious if draft class players can have pre-existing conditions (ex. Embid, Greg Oden, Nerlons Noel, etc.)

I think mentioned something about draft classes in the injury section, so probably

Would have been nice to get a few screenshots of the mode and the menus to see what it looks like.

I would like amnesty's in, however it's not as important now as it was a year or two ago.

There's only 10 teams left that haven't used their amnesty and the only players that can be amnesties are those that were under contract with their current team during the 11-12 season. Hence why my Celtics can't amnesty Gerald Wallace's old, worthless *** and that ugly contract.

I would be interested in knowing if stretch provisions made it in though?
