NBA 2K15 News Post

We recently had a chance to interview Rob Jones, Sr. Producer Visual Concepts and Erick Boenisch, Sr. Producer, Visual Concepts to talk about a new mode for NBA 2K15 called MyLEAGUE, exclusive for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Before we get into the interview, here is a quick rundown on some of the options. In a nutshell, it’s the Association Mode that we all know and loved on old-gen consoles, on steroids.

MyLEAGUE offers both a single season or up to an 80 year franchise experience. You will have complete control over every aspect of how your league plays out.

The ability to set the salary cap is HUGE. In real life the cap increases every year, and by significant amounts ($5mil+ some years), so for it to stay stagnant in current iterations of MyGM/Associations SUCKED.

Happy that those things are back in the game, and seemingly enhanced. Gameplay is all I want to hear about. I want responsiveness, no further canimations.

If they pull off the things they tried to with, probably a lot of people. The idea of actually trying to have to keep your players happy, and while balancing owner demands is pretty interesting, atleast in theory.

So this is Association mode on steroids? Cool.

I like the injury settings. Definitely a lot more customization for association in all aspects. And good to know that they will have a full CAP system. Now the big question: will injuries themselves be realistic in real-time, or will we still see concussions happen on jump shots?

Anyways, great news overall. Still need to see the improvements to gameplay and AI on the court before I make a decision.

Not pre ordering yet. Got to see better team building logic in this game. Would hate to see Lebron on the damn Utah Jazz or Carrmelo on the damn Raptors.

Can we use custom rosters? If so, can we save the custom rosters to the hard drive this year?

You can use a Custom roster and yes, you can save it locally, making editing and generating rosters and draft classes easier than ever.
oh thank god

This has potential to be the greatest mode in any sports game in the history of gaming. Jesus must've handcrafted this mode himself.

Are the injury effects, manual injuries? Please let the answer be yes.

Cue the tears. Thank you 2k.

The only thing that makes me sad is that it's only an offline mode....

# 58 Csmooove32 @ 08/07/14 04:21 PM

Any bones you want to throw to the online guys?
MyLEAGUE is an offline mode in NBA 2K15. However, for those wanting to play online, we have added requested functionality to Online Leagues as well working heavily on the stability of the mode. NBA 2K15 has benefited from lessons learned last year, improved online support both from first party and internal changes, as well as a full QA cycle on the mode. Between MyLEAGUE and Online leagues we have created a package that our core community will be excited about.
