NBA 2K15 MyLEAGUE Interview

We recently had a chance to interview Rob Jones, Sr. Producer Visual Concepts and Erick Boenisch, Sr. Producer, Visual Concepts to talk about a new mode for NBA 2K15 called MyLEAGUE, exclusive for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Before we get into the interview, here is a quick rundown on some of the options. In a nutshell, it’s the Association Mode that we all know and loved on old-gen consoles, on steroids.

MyLEAGUE offers both a single season or up to an 80 year franchise experience. You will have complete control over every aspect of how your league plays out.

Stop trying to make it sound like i said nobody should be happy. Also, if they make improvements to defense and team rebounding, as well as passing. I'd be ecstatic too because i always felt like that was a weakness in the gameplay, yeah even in 2k11. But even so, that's not the same as having a feature for years(multiple years by the way) and then taking it out. By the way, did you guys forget the part where i literally said "kudos to 2k for bringing association back" before? I mean damn guys, relax. Anyway, leftos has always been pretty straight forward and i don't see him exaggerating things that are in the game or trying to over hype things, so i'll see what's in store. For me Game play and association are the 2 most important things(in that order too). So i'll be really interested to see when they start doing developer insights or developer diaries as well.

Man y'all need to read the write up man. This is part of the problem around here. Dudes won't read the full write ups and listen to someone saying something that's giving them their own speculation and start running with that as fact cause they think that's what was in the write ups. Not trying to have a go at you with this lg. Just a general observation I'm seeing.

Eh, you should of been more specific then. the whole "don't be mad because others are happy" lined seemed directed at me since you said it right after i posted. But if it wasn't, that's cool then. Just don't like people putting words in my mouth, it's annoying. I've been a little busy today so i haven't had time to read the whole article, but the gist of what i've seen is people are happy association is back. I hadn't heard so much about differences or at least any specific differences from anyone. And when i asked before, i still got some vague answers.

You are taking this conversation off the rails. The article isnt long and over the past 30 minutes to an hour youve posted here a number of times. During that time, you couldve read the short interview instead of posting incorrect assumptions and asking questions.

Completely, no, but you should be able to set the Morale Difficulty to 0 and Morale Effects to 0 and it shouldn't really affect you all that much.

You can choose to play or watch any game on the schedule.

Hey Leftos,

If one was to play a 14 season MyLEAGUE, are the schedules randomized every season or do they remain constant?

I remember from previous Association modes that it would make me play the same 14 teams every season (all from the same conference). Though I get that it may be necessary in order to determine seedings for Divisions, it would be cool if it was mixed up a little.

This is such a great move.

I was worried there for a moment that 2k had lost what I loved most about their games.....

All them glorious options and sliders......yes I'm a nut about that stuff and love my customization abilities in my sports games.

So will teams with extra draft picks be implemented into this mode?
Like when teams trade their picks?

Ex: Knicks don't have a guaranteed first round AND second pick in the same draft until 2018.

Or

The Lakers will have the Rockets first round pick for the next draft because of the Lin trade.

This is an incredible announcement and I have placed my pre-order.
