NBA 2K15 News Post

We recently had a chance to interview Rob Jones, Sr. Producer Visual Concepts and Erick Boenisch, Sr. Producer, Visual Concepts to talk about a new mode for NBA 2K15 called MyLEAGUE, exclusive for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Before we get into the interview, here is a quick rundown on some of the options. In a nutshell, it’s the Association Mode that we all know and loved on old-gen consoles, on steroids.

MyLEAGUE offers both a single season or up to an 80 year franchise experience. You will have complete control over every aspect of how your league plays out.

I mean 2K14 was so bad (aside from graphics) that we're all cheering about saving files locally and don't need VC to play? C'mon man ... Can you imagine me telling you this prior to the release of next-gen consoles?

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for these changes but people acting like 2K cured cancer or something :P
Or theyre happy the series not only didn't degenerate even further in certain areas but actually just got what they asked for, and in some cases more.

Don't tell me some of this stuff was always there in past 2k's because that's far from the truth

I don't see why 2K doesn't do like Madden and just combine ALL these modes into one.
Im already tired of you going on about online in here. This is an offline thread... so stay on topic.

Only warning.

OFFLINE guys please answer this question,

Even if you play offline ONLY, don't you still want your OFFLINE league to be internet accessible??

If you are on a website like OS, clearly you use the internet a bunch. Why would ANY league in this modern day and age NOT be online accessible???

Bruh, can you PLEASE stop spamming about this ONLINE stuff? We get it, you like to be ONLINE. ONLINE leagues are still there and may be improved so chill please

P.S. Not everyone likes to be online with their games. That's one of the things I don't like about Watch Dogs and why even as disappointed as I was with GTA 5, I can't wait for it to drop on current gen so I can pick it up and experience that world again without being forced online

No. I wanna have fun, if I wanna share my experience I would go to the appropriate Dynasty sub forum. I wanna run my own games the why I want it.

Stop asking about online, I don't get why people are impatient.

I dont give a **** if its internet accessible. I play offline and I dont need to share my MYLeague info or post it anywhere.

Time to move on. We get your point. You want online MyLeague. You wont get it this year but you get improved custom leagues. If you arent happy with that....dont buy the game.

No. When I play video games, I just want to chill and play on my own time.

Custom Roster
Season Length
Conference Quarterfinals, semifinals, finals and NBA Finals
Fantasy Draft Option
Can manage/play with all teams
Save files on HDD
No VC's required to play

Those were all implemented in past 2K titles (not 2K14, but 2K10, 11, etc.)

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy 2K added customized sliders and the salary cap feature but I personally don't find it 'news' that they're bringing back core necessities that gave them such a massive backlash in the first place.

See the thing here is, I don't think anyone is happy that they were taken out for the crap that was MYGM last year, BUT we also know that 2k didn't have to even create this mode and could've dove deeper into the rabbit hole(Madden style). They are basic things, but they weren't obligated to do this and with the trend of VC and microtransactions in videogames to begin with, it's nice to know I can play a mode finally that doesn't require me most likely having to spend more money than I already have.

Thats 7 out of the 23 things that were added. Almost 70% of those things are new additions or features.

That's exactly what I said... I guess it didn't quite sound the same as this though

And 14 out of the 23 things can be categorized as 'Association sliders' which I already acknowledged and applauded 2K in doing (post #406).

well you add in the other 7 I mentioned that were already in past 2K titles and that gives you 21. I cbf listing each one, but I'm assuming the remaining 2 are the salary/hard cap features and something else I might have missed ...

Will we be able to do that, or will his tendencies and/or ratings stay the way they are? This would be huge if we could edit these mid season.
I'd really like to know this as well. I figure with all the info released this isn't a major spoiler.

LETS PREORDER
That's all I needed to see, too. So happy about this news. A big part of me has always assumed the reason the next gen version of 2K14 was so awful is because it might've been a little rushed or something...I don't know. So I always thought they'd come back with something like Association mode for 2K15. Still, I was a little worried.

# 380 hoopla32 @ 08/08/14 01:13 AM
And you can save rosters and MyLEAGUE files to the hard drive in 2K15?!?!? Ok, I'm 110% sold!!
