R.B.I. Baseball 14 Announced For Current and Next-Gen Consoles, Mobile Devices Too

Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) has announced R.B.I. Baseball 14 for current and next-gen consoles, as well as mobile devices, arriving this Spring.

With 2K Sports confirming no baseball game, it didn't look good for Xbox 360 and Xbox One fans, but it now looks like we will see a baseball game for Microsoft gamers after all.

Time will tell what kind of game this really is, but in the meantime you can keep track of the game on Twitter, Facebook and their official website.

The speculation that it won't be out until the All-Star break made me sad. Fortunately, it's just speculation. Of course, the existence of the game seems to just be speculation at this point.

Im under the belief its been a work in progress for a while now and its why MLB had 2k do another roster update version of MLB 2k13 because RBI baseball wasnt ready for release last year so XBOX still had a MLB option .

MLB Advanced Media just rolled out their MLB At Bat app for 2014 yesterday and spring training games start today, so maybe we'll get some news this week (but probably not).

LOL...as a Yankees fan I find that ironic as well. I don't blame Cano or the Yankees for that matter. I would take more money as well

lol! I guess that came out wrong. if I was offered $240 million instead of $175, Not sure which I would choose. I know if I was a Yankee, I'd want to remain a Yankee. What I was trying to say is I'm glad they drew the line in the sand and didn't give a 10 year deal.

Kind of crazy that just the phrase "A new baseball game is coming out this year" has managed to create a thread 30 pages long.

I guess that just speaks for the anticipation for this game. I'm still really excited, though I've stopped checking this thread every day, in exchange for maybe once every 2 days

Really though, this is needed for Xbox users. I still play mvp baseball 2005 on the pc with the mods from mvpmods, but the idea of a new series (Not really new, but you know what I mean), whether it be sim or arcade, really gets me excited.

Co-sign to this. I'm also still playing MVP, but was excited about a new baseball game. I was hoping it would be out before the season started, but by the time it's finally out, my (and everyone else's) interest in playing a baseball game may be waning.

I just don't get the logic of "We're releasing a game in the next few months...and then no info for over a month".
