R.B.I. Baseball 14 Announced For Current and Next-Gen Consoles, Mobile Devices Too

Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) has announced R.B.I. Baseball 14 for current and next-gen consoles, as well as mobile devices, arriving this Spring.

With 2K Sports confirming no baseball game, it didn't look good for Xbox 360 and Xbox One fans, but it now looks like we will see a baseball game for Microsoft gamers after all.

Time will tell what kind of game this really is, but in the meantime you can keep track of the game on Twitter, Facebook and their official website.

That's a very big reason why I think it will be closer to a simulation. Personally, I think they're just using "RBI" as the title, but I don't think it'll play anything like the original. I was to young to play RBI.

I loved the original and it was very sim.
Yes, it had cartoon sounds, but people forget that during that era there were very few pure sim sports games. Every sports game was arcady to a degree.
But RBI was the first to have real players and varying attributes making each player and pitcher feel differently.

I'm hoping they can recapture how much fun that game was while still providing enough sim qualities for the hardcore gamer.

It was really fun and pretty realistic for the day and one of the first games with real players but being that its 2014 and just a name they chose from the past so at least it wasnt triple play baseball . now that was rough in the final years

Oh my yes, I remember those last days of triple play! Being visually impaired, my best friend jokes that any game looks awesome to me! lol, as I've said many times, sound is huge for me in baseball games. I'll be very interested to see who they choose as the play-by-play. man!

Maybe the fact we haven't heard anything yet is a good thing. IMO if this was going to be kind of a half assed arcade game we would've at least heard something by now. Idk

I agree... and go Yanks indeed! Can't wait to see our new editions in action this spring. Very excited about this seson, I mean look how bad we were last year, and we still won 85 games!

Not really, I mean look, did he help us win a world series in 09? Sure, but I really don't think 1 title was worth all the drama.

Losing Cano freaking sucks but we are definitely much better on paper than last year. Especially excited for Tanaka and a catcher that can actually hit the ball!

I personally hope Cano has 10 losing seasons! He decided the most money was more important than winning. I'm very excited about our lineup! If Tex and the other big guys do what we expect, Johnson at 3B will be fine. And just think, if Pineda can return to 2011 form, what a 5th starter he'll be.

Cano was my favourites Yankee aside from Jeter but he can kiss my *** now.

On another note CC's season will be a huge factor in whether we make the playoffs or not. He sucked last year by his standards.

Anyways back to RBI baseball...

hahaha! Nice one! I just hope RBI comes out before the show, so I have something to hold me over until May! Gave my ps3 to my brother.
