heartbreaking loss to tech. down 10-0 going into the 4th, i get the ball back and score. recover the onside kick, go down and kick a FG to tie with 15 seconds left. get the ball first in OT, held to a 25 yard FG, and then Tech scores on the first play cause the safety was late coming over on the go route.

Is there any way to get to the depth chart?

My early impressions - I'm just trying to enjoy the game right now, but here are my thoughts so far:

Menus are SO much better. Smooth, clean - this is a case where less is more.
Having said that, the "pop" sound it makes when you navigate may get annoying but it's not a big deal.

Colors stand out WAY more.

Intros are good to me, had somewhat of a broadcast feel. The in-game "montage" will be much more believable in conference play.

Playing as Michigan V. Ohio State, and you can tell the O-Line blocking is a LOT better than last year. Lineman actually look to drive downfield, open up holes, etc.

Players feel WAY heavier. I have it on normal and it moves like it's on Slow IMO, which is a good thing. Running the ball may take adjusting to initially because you most likely won't hit the edge like you're use to. Speed WILL kill in this game I think more than ever.

The Infinity Engine 2 looks better than M13, but it still doesn't look fluid at times. I think that's a tradeoff versus a more ragdoll effect. It is VERY realistic though, moreso than M13, especially when multiple players collide and are involved in tackles.

The ability to cut upfield can be SO effective if you time it right, especially against over pursuing defenders.

Ohio State had me on my heels early. Everything it seemed was effective. Stopping spread offenses will be challenging, especially the better teams.

And something really cool I haven't seen before in NCAA (and possibly any football game): Ohio State is on the Goal line, and the RB gets the handoff. He runs left and collides with my defender, breaking the tackle, but his left arm (ball in this arm) hits the Guard, and the ball squirts out while he's still running forward. I did end up recovering it...not sure if it's because of the physics or a glitch or something, but it was VERY cool IMO.

Overall, Really liked it.
Played as Oregon on AA for both. I was able to shut out T A&M 24-0.

-#6 is fast. I had 2 TD 40+ where I was able to use speed for TD.
-Opposing QB was able to get some good runs off on me.
-Was able to get some pressure on the QB and get a few sacks.
-Was able to get 2 User INTs.
-Had good success with Option.

Folks I am not going to lie, I think the first dynasty I start is a service academy running some killer option football.

awesome fumble recovery vs Michigan. i line up to blitz the right side, but end up getting blown off the ball, my linebacker ended up 8 yards down field. safety comes up, able to strip the ball, bounces off the UM running back, off my DE's leg and grabs it off his leg, then stiff arms the UM WR dragging him for 10 yards before being brought down by his arm

I'm actually liking the new entrances. It looks like the team specific stuff was merged with them, since A&M has some special dog thing and dance crew in theirs. I wonder what the text will say for small teams? Like for Bama it'll say stuff like "Roll Tide" or "Big Al is in the House", for small schools will it be team specific or generic?

I'm really confused. I can't search for the demo and where it has the little link to download it, I get this error:

"Status code 8C230002"

Any help?

A few things:

It seems like a little thing, but to me it's a big deal, the CPU can get 3 or 4 yard runs now, and is OK calling those kinds of plays where that is all they can expect to get. It isn't just getting stuffed in the backfield or getting a 20 yard play. This keeps them from being in third and long all the time and opens up their entire playbook.

Play calling(especially on defense) matters for the User now against the CPU. If you don't put your guys in the right spots, you're going to get shredded. You have to win the game now and not rely on the CPU to do something boneheaded on one side of the ball or the other to lose the game.

In a game between closely rated teams, turnovers, especially early turnovers are huge now. I played back to back games as VT against Alabama of course, and in the first game they didn't turn the ball over, and beat me, 17-3, by controlling the ball by pounding the rock between the tackles and getting a couple of turnovers. In the second game I got a couple of early picks and they became one dimensional, having to pass, so I could just sit back in coverage locking them down. I mauled them, 20-0.

DB's seem to be tuned really well. If the play calling is solid and the line can get some pressure, they make plays, but the wrong play cal,l with some time to throw, they can still get beat.

Playing on default AA right now.

Love it so far... I was Oregon, tied 14-14. With 30+ seconds left I think I'm about to get a sack on Manziel... He takes off running and gains about 30 yards... He gets hit from behind and fumbles. I recover and kick a FG for the 17-14 win.

I only had a short time with the game but I wanted to say the the Skills Trainer is awesome!

I only played one game on default Heisman and got beat by VT 17-14. Their running game was tough, their QB completed all 7 of his passes, but it was their D that came through with 2 big INTs that won it for them. I did have a huge 84 yard run with Yeldon to open the 2nd half that was a thing of beauty.

Two other quick notes:
1) It's going to be tough to get used to using the speed burst again. I've been playing with it one Auto for the past 2-3 years so the first couple of games is going to be an adjustment. With that said the new fatigue system looks nice.

2) I'm not sure if this happens during actual gameplay, but when I was playing the Oklahoma Drill the ballcarrier automatically switched hands and it was extremely seamless.

Tomorrow I'm going to plug in my Heisman sliders from NCAA 13 and see how those play.

Pin it to your dashboard, then go to your pins. You should be able to download it from there.

I'm loving this game. The addition of the Inverted Veer is great, though it's taking me some time getting used to making that read. Still, the spread option attack is great.

The only problem I'm having is that there's no audio with my demo. Any advice?

Mann the players justlook god awful... I can't stand it. Run game is good but man all the players got on bands all over there bodies, big shoulder pads, and damn receivers with rubber pads etc. Wish they took out some of those things. Because i hate having to edit EVERY player because none look good

There is one thing I've seemed to notice, but I'll have to test out more to see:

Lets say you come out in Man defense, and the CPU runs 4 verts. If the CPU throws it to the seam, and the CB on the outside is still running with the WR on the outside, you won't be able to switch to him and attack the ball it seems, because he can't "see" it. In essence, the only players who could make a play on the ball are those that can see it. IF this holds true, very nice addition IMO.
