On one hand I thought the game played great for the most part. Pretty much every aspect of the gameplay itself was definitely improved. The cpu AI and player movements were the best I have experienced so far in a football game. I applaud EA for really putting a serious effort into this stuff.

The player models are really bad though and take away from the experience greatly. After playing two games with the demo I put in NCAA 11 and Madden 13 and both had much "cleaner" looking player models. Sure in the cut scenes the players looked really good, but as they walked up to the line of scrimmage and especially when in their stance they looked horrible, I'm sorry. Each player was a jaggy blurry mess. I know it's not my tv since as I mentioned Ncaa 11 and Madden 13 both looked really good and much better.

The other thing that bothered me was lack of button responsiveness both in play calling (having to press a button more than once for the game to recognize it) and twice I tried to pass but it didn't recognize that I pressed a button, I had to press the button again but by then my WR was either covered or going too far towards the sideline. Once again this isn't an issue with my other football games, or any other games.

Overall I left the demo feeling let down. Despite the vastly improved gameplay, I just don't understand this late into the console generation how the player models can be that blurry and jaggy (worse than previous releases), as well as the lack of responsiveness when pressing buttons on my controller. I am half tempted to blow the dust off my 360 to try the demo on it, although I haven't bought a 360 game in two years and don't plan on buying any more either.

At this point I will wait for Madden and check it out. Worst case scenario I wait for next gen.
You cant DL the demo on 360 without gold. And the players a jaggy due to the ram issue most likely. To many other things were made to look better. I have the same issue with MLB The Show

I appreciate the info about the 360 version. Why though does Madden 13's player models look so much better? I understand we are dealing with "old" consoles and hardware limitations but if ten months ago Madden was released and looked great on the ps3, why the problem with NCAA this year? It doesn't make any sense.

Im not sure. It will be interesting to see how it looks on Madden for current gen.

Slow - animations look better

Normal Camera - The coordinator cam make the players look like ants and you basically see the entire field. I can't get down like that, makes it feel like I'm cheating seeing the entire field all at once like that. Plus I don't like the ant look anyway. Zoom is too close and wide doesn't do anything for me either.

Speed Threshold at 50 works fine for me. With the way the acceleration works this year, if you step on the gas at the right time, you won't get caught from behind.

If you are looking for a serious challenge, play the game with some tough sliders on the zoom cam. Wow, passing is tough!

forth game on AA and absolutely killed A&M 42-7

i was unstoppable with Oregon's offense, and running the option was amazing. Mariota had 146 yards on 12 carries and 3 TD's, while DAT had 6 touches for 53 yards. passing was clicking for another 3 scores as i tried to run it up. A&M is lethal though on offense. thankfully they fell down so quickly, cause i was getting torched through the air in the 2nd half, but a fumble on the 8 kept them out of the endzone on one of their drives.

The game finished with me having 309 yards (199 rushing, 110 passing) and A&M having 174 (69 rushing, 105 passing) Punt and kick returns are so nice, opened the game with a return to the Aggie 45 and had a punt return inside their 10

I was Virginia Tech and T.J. Yeldon just stiff armed one of my defenders making an off balanced tackle and carried him for about 5 yards....made my jaw drop. Have never been this excited for an NCAA Football to come out before. July 9th cannot get here any faster

Loving the gameplay. I was playing the Alabama vs VTech game and VT destroyed me 21-7. One play that stood out to me is when they played smart with a play action pass on first down at the goaline and was caught by the TE for a touchdown. I also noticed some haywire things happen. Anyone else get a bizarre play where the Center takes the ball and runs it himself. Also, 2 plays in a row the WR ends up with the ball at the snap and just stands there till he is tackled.

For a while I hated the passing on NCAA 13. Playing as Michigan on here I had some plays where guys were wide open and I could toss them.the ball knowing full well they'd catch.

Braxton Miller and his offense scared me on the first drive. Went up 3-0. I got in the groove and won 21-3 though.

A lot of fun.

I've played about 10 games so far. I think Heisman is the way to go with everything on default. I still haven't beat Bama. I much more ready for July 9th now. Can't wait to start the online dynasty I'm in!

Just had a 3 OT as Oregon vs TAMU

Through 3 quarters we couldn't move the ball then all of the sudden the lights clicked on and we couldn't stop each other lol.

I got the 2pt conversion and won the game. It was sweet

Loving Heisman on both offense and Defense. Have yet to run into a super linebacker, no cheese at all, this game just feels like real football. The line interactions are miles ahead of anything we've ever seen in this series before.

I'm having outstanding games on default AA. No single area stands out as needing to be slider tweaked....which is a great thing. Still in awe at how good this demo is.

I couldn't agree less with this. It feels like a completely different game. I am actually finding myself on a learning curve with this game.

Overall the demo is great, but I feel that the curl routes are still too effective.

Oregon's playbook had too many plays from Urban Meyer's Florida days! Ohio State's playbook was almost identical to what they run in real life. I enjoyed all the Inside Zone Read's (IZR's) and HB Zone runs. The spread playbook has a run for about everyone now. You can nearly make a WR Run playbook out of the spread. Would be kind of fun with DAT MAMBA

Positives:
1. First and foremost this game is actually fun to play especially in the coordinator mode! I really had a blast on offense, it almost seems like anything could happen, it doesn't feel so scripted.

2. Running feels great, planting and cutting.

3. The fatigue system is really cool, although I wasn't even on the field long enough to really feel a huge difference, but I could feel it on long plays.

4. Defense doesn't have that instantaneous reaction to everything anymore, it feels more natural and smooth.

5. Player models and referee look a ton better.

6. The options such as looking at WR/DB matchups is cool, being able to change difficulty on either side of the ball, and the new coordinator camera view is AWESOME!

7. Button responsiveness is greatly improved, when I want to pitch he pitches it, when I want to stiff arm, it happens, when I want to juke he jukes. I feel more in control than ever.

Negatives:
1. The commentary is the worst in all of sports. It feels as stale as it did in 2001, not really much as changed other than Corso is gone. Sometimes it feels as if they are whispering just to me. No real sense of what is going on. My QB got hurt, they say nothing, I recover an onside kick, they say nothing. Just plain awful, I'm so sick of it.

2. Atmosphere is still lacking quite a bit. Crowd is stale, although a tad better than years past.

3. Animations are just still bad, I can't wait until next gen.

playing Bama/VT, CPU Virginia tech is returning a kickoff, dude gets tackled but he was on top of one of the bama players, pulled a dyer, got up and ran a couple extra feet. never seen that in a game before. Impressed
