Played OSU-Mich and saw a first, 2 Michigan DBs ran into each other on slant routes, almost like a pick play, allowing the Bucks WR to get into the open. I love the game so far!

I made a 60 yard field goal with Texas A&M easily witch was surprising

I also ran back 2 kickoff returns with ohio state and 1 with A&M the blockin was really good

So picking up where my last post left off. I played a Virginia Tech vs Alabama on default Heisman. In years past despite the difficulty I could and would usually win games like this. Like I said default Heisman so take this for what it is.

-First thing that jumped out to me, on my first running play the backside backer did a good job of chasing the play down from behind and making a nice TFL. On the very next play, the CB "ran the route" better than my WR, but not in the "psychic DB" way. The play was infront of him and he made a better break than my WR, no problem with that int.

-On Bama's first posession (and much of the game for that matter) I felt like Bama threw the ball too much. I was expecting them to pound me into oblivion and they did it through the air. Which leads to the point that I felt the Bama QB was a bit ROBO in his decision making. No real deep shots and extremely accurate. I know he is highly rated so I will have to see with another passer.

-The blocking on the Oline will make it fun and rewarding to run the ball again a la NCAA 09. Bama pretty much stuffed me, and limited my usefulness running the ball, which I expected. But the few runs that I was able to break were so rewarding and felt "earned" I followed my blocks and watched my linemen get to the second level. I had a running back in NCAA 09 that I recruited and loved, he was a beast finished his career with 9,000+ yards. I have missed feeling like a RB could take over a game ever since. But now I could see myself recruiting a kid and having that kid of career and fun with him. Running the ball bored me recently, but I can feel the fun of that returning.

-Defense still feels "boring", I made a nice user pick but other than that it was just hoping for something to happen not really feeling like I could dictate or disrupt the game even outside of that. Hell my pick came when I disregarded my "assigned" zone and used instincts. It almost felt like the CPU knew my play and was suprised that I abandoned my zone to make a play on the ball, because if I stayed in my flat zone the pass would've been completed. I don't know what can be done, but despite all the good, I still don't think playing defense is as fun as offense, and I am one of those that actually likes to play defense from time to time.

-I feel like the new running controls are a little over powered. I didn't use them in this game, but in the next one I played I made a spin and from there picked up another 15 yards mostly while off balance. Did a Juke and literally shook three guys that were closing in on the tackle.

-Hit Stick seems to be completely nerfed. I was hit sticking most of the game, and there was little visible big hit impact, it was more solid wrap tackles, but I got the "user big hit" message. No complaints from me, but I'm sure there is a community that will be upset.

-I think the presentation aspects of the game are a nice touch and add something to the overall feel of the games. It is much improved over what I remember in NCAA 13. Which isn't saying much, but it should be mentioned.

Overall, I am very impressed with the demo. NCAA went from a game I had ever intention of skipping this year, to a game with I will be waiting for the OS review and looking for the eventually $20 price drop. Which given that I had basically ignored the game upto this point is a major change. I have EA's Season Ticket so I will have some time with the game as well, but I won't be killing myself to to play it, because this is golf season. But the game is now firmly on my radar. Great Job EA and the NCAA team. This is the first time I felt better about the game after playing the demo.

I cannot even get the game to play anymore on my 360. Every time I start a game it freezes at the loading screen. I've downloaded it twice. I've cleared my hd's cache. I have no idea what to do.

First Game | Michigan (me) v. Ohio State | Final score 17-9 Michigan

Stats (All-American, no slider changes):

Michigan
Passing - QB #12: 7-10, 188 yards, 1TD
Rushing - HB#38: 8 car, 35 yards; QB #12: 2 car, 40 yds (42 long)
Receiving -TE #19: 2 rc, 37 yds

Ohio St.
Pass - QB#5: 18-21, 224 yds, 1 TD (sacked 3 times)
Rush - QB#5: 14 car, 75 yds (20 long); HB#34: 6 car, 27 yds (1 fumble)
Receiving - WR#16 - 6 rec, 93 yds, TD

Simply put, Ohio State's QB ripped me a new one with the spread...I literally was on my heels the entire game on defense. Had it not been for the fumble, I possibly could have lost.

Offense was a bit easy for me, moreso the passing game vs. the run game, so it may be a case of needing to bump it up to Heisman. Running the ball took a bit to get used to, but the key is to know when to hit the hole, cut upfield, etc. Doing so with the right.left stick is so rewarding, and yes, cutbacks are possible!

I didn't pass much so I couldn't see many jump ball animations or the like, but the hit stick feels and looks much better. If you square a guy up and he's smaller, he's getting laid out. I do want to try to hit a bigger guy low though to see what happens.

There was a CPU late game management brain fart though...Ohio State got to the GL with about 9 seconds left and rather than burning their last TO and taking a shot, they let the clock drain. Hopefully it was a one-time thing.

So far, this is the best NCAA I've played, hands down.

Played Oregon (me) vs A&M. I had 4 delay of game penalties because I got lost in their playbook, so many different types of option plays lol. When I wasn't taking days to pick plays I went with the no huddle which worked super smooth. CPU was able to move the ball both on the ground and in the air. It really seemed when I tried to take something away, like moving an extra defender in the box the CPU took advantage through the air. Overall I was very impressed with the game play. I took last year off from NCAA and am really happy with how different this game feels. Will be a day one pick up for me.

I tried but I'm just more comfortable on 360, that's what I'll be purchasing the game for. Sucks but oh well might just have to play on PS3.

Also do the game times vary? When I played the Oregon game earlier it was in the afternoon.

Played one game, default All American. Now I usually blow the AI out if the water which makes the game boring for me.

Not so much this time. I went into 5 OT against TAMU. I committed 5 turnovers, one a game losing INT at the goal line on 4th down.

Few things u noticed:

- Saw a big hit where the TAMU HB went *** over tea kettle in the air. To the point where I went "wow"

- Both pants got dirty, no jerseys which I thought was weird and I'm hoping is due to the field type.

- I hate the spread playbook, just personal preference.

- Kickoff blocking was greatly improved.

It's really good gameplay-wise. Not seeing much suction blocking, and I got 2 sacks w/o blitzing. On the down side, VT's orange jerseys have 2 sets of TV numbers. There are 6 teams on the demo, how do they let a demo ship with a huge era like that?

Had the computer run a fake punt pass to perfection for 45 yards on all american, don't remember that ever happening in the past couple ncaa's.

Anyone else get a flash of The Show when they saw that you could select different difficulties on offense and defense? I know Kolbe's main gig is Madden right now, but it seems like the right people are starting to influence EA Tib's game design...

I've actually seen that 3-4 times in NCAA 13. Before that I don't ever recall seeing it

Loving the option game, I think this is the first game I've played where the 45 Base is blocked correctly, it's amazing to see the zone blocking scheme look the way it's supposed to. The shovel option play is a nice touch too, having fun reading defenses.

I've read every impression, and nobody mentioned this.

On my very first defensive play, I got a DPI!

This game has earned my money. Kudos, EA.

I've seen several claims of Offensive pass interference (which is even more of a shocker), but yours is the first I've heard of DPI.

As soon as I saw the flag, I knew what it was. And needless to say, my mind was blown!

One thing.. for future demos. Please give us at least 5 min quarters. Cannot even get a good slow drive with the run game going with 3 minutes.
