NCAA Football 14 Demo is Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)

The NCAA Football 14 demo is available now for both 360 and PS3. If you are a 360 user with a Gold account, you can queue it up right here.

Below is the list of games available. You can play a full game with 3 minute quarters.

Alabama vs. Virginia Tech
Oregon vs. Texas A&M
Ohio State vs. Michigan

The Skills Trainer is included in the demo, as well as all of the camera views, including the coordinator cam. You can also adjust difficulty and all sliders in the demo.

Well...doesn't Oregon run more read option type plays then passes in real life anyways?

A few people have pointed this out, but the "normal speed," seems to be slowed down.

It almost seems like there's been a dramatic shift. For years it was "grab the fastest players," and now it seems (at least from what I've experienced thus far,) that it's going to shift to, "grab the biggest players."

With the engine and the way the physical aspects of the game work now, very rarely are players going to go down with just one hit, especially a larger RB or QB.

As far as Manzel goes, at least if you're going to be playing a Dynasty, he will eventually be heading to the NFL, LOL

Just saw a blocked extra point. Guy broke off a block right up and middle and got to in on a jump/dive. He was on my team, but I was not controlling him. I wasn't even really looking at the screen, unfortunately.

I've now seen three or four guys break through the line on kicking/punting plays in the five games I've played.

Man I'm trying so hard to temper my excitement but, it's difficult. I really think this game could end up being the best NCAA ever. I sooo hope they keep the retail difficulty the same as the demo. It is great as is. Please don't make it easier EA! I usually do sliders but, so far the game doesn't need any adjustments. All-American is playing great!

-the sound effects are awesome.
-stadium sounds are great.
-the football looks the right size.
-foot planting, foot planting, foot planting!

Really the only thing I would change is penalties. Not getting any. Raising the sliders doesn't matter it seems.

Braxton Miller missed a pitch on goal line play (Shovel Pass), I picked it up and went 99 yards to the house.

I am loving this demo.

Unless there was some rule changes, I just had two glitches.

1. CPU intercepted a pass in the end zone. They awarded that team a TD.

2. I clearly sacked the QB in the end zone. No safety. Instead they said he was down at the 2 yard line.

Has anyone else noticed a tackle animation start but due to the physics the defender gets knocked away but the ball carrier still acts like he is there?

VT returned a kick for a td against me. I ended up shutting their O down. Final was 10-7.

DB glitch is fix just try to throw consecutive deep passes against Alabama denied......

This demo is a Beast!!! EA take my money and shut up..LOL

the back juke is filthy, intercepted Manziel, was running down the sideline, o-lineman is taking the angle so i hit back, he dives flying past me and im able to pick up another 10 yards.

aside from a few bugs here and there, and occasionally being able to pick my play on defense when A&M goes hurry up, im really impressed

Ended up losing 24-7 to Alabama. After losing my QB in the first drive I couldn't get any offense going and couldn't stop them. Going to try OSU/Michigan now.

The most amazing play happened to me. 8 seconds left, down 4, on the 9 yard line maybe. Dump it D-Thomas as I get hit, he sprints to the corner post, dives as he is hit and gets the pylon with the ball as he is in mid-air. Posting video soon.

Just won a ball game in OT 16-13. I was A&M vs. Oregon and I held them to a fg and run a shovel option to try it out on my first play of OT. I pitched to the HB because it was the right read, and I made a cut on the CB and took it to the house. Nessler shockingly was excited and I think he said something like this, "He takes it to the house and that Touchdown will END the ball game!" All in all, it was a really fun offensive matchup. Now on to VT/Bama to see some defensive "stragery" (George W. Bush voice)

I really like this game so far and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get it. With that being said, it still has some flaws, which are to be expected:

-Punt return animation where your returner moves backwards and forwards and doesn't catch the ball

-Most zone defenses are useless

-Every kick off goes deep into the endzone (fixable with sliders)

-I can stop CPU HB screens about 90% of the time and about 75% of the time come up with a sack.

agree with couple of those but like you said sliders may correct most of it hopefully
