Well the game feels better, but the biggest problem I had with last years is still there. How EA did not address it, I do not know? The vertical routes are still broken like crazy. Played Oregon vs A&M, and tested the verticals. Mariota threw for 450 yards, smh... Most of the hot routed WRs were open by 10+ yards. This is unacceptable!

On Heisman by the way...

sad to say im not too impressed, after playing two games, first thing I noticed was uniforms at least the white ones don't get dirty at least from I saw, overall the running and blocking was better, but so far its a wait and see type of deal

So far, I've only completed about 2/10 or so deep passes. Looks like they fixed it to me.

I agree with what everyone has said here.

Great visual pop
More streamlined
Smoother gameplay
Definitely a buy for me!

My only gameplay complaint however is it still feels like you are stuck in tackling animations. I have seen numerous times where a defender is trying to bring an offensive player and nobody can come in and stop it they just bounce off. It like the tumble weed just with a little more physics to it. Hopefully the next generation there are more pure physics tackles and less animations.

Everybody knows Johnny Football is a beast... But holy crap this demo is making him Superman... Kind of annoying... He's literally broken and trucked my LB's in the backfield multiple times... Something's wrong here....

Other than that the game seems to be great lol... Need to tone down the QB running power just a bit... And I'm playing on HEISMAN DEFENSE AND OFFENSE

i've tried four verticals several times and the deep routes are being covered pretty well. This is coming from a guy who was top 100 in NCAA 13 for the first month before Madden came out.

Dunno how y'all are completing every vertical play you do. I've tried them over and over on purpose and not completed anything.

So I'm sure this has either already been asked or it's something I screwed up, but do we have to use computer generated names or is there a way to turn this off?

Yep, same here. It's a shame they didn't this.

havent even played 2 minutes and i got glitched, great start

playing A&M, they go hurry up on the 2. Center "snaps" the ball, doesnt pass it to the QB, walks into the endzone, i tackle him 5 yards deep and then it signals TD. lovely

The game feels solid.
Running is especially more fluid and smooth. Blocking is so much better I almost fell out of my seat.

The one thing that's annoying me already about the game, is the slight delay when you pick your play. I don't know if that's a bug the first patch can fix, if it's a demo thing, or if it's here to stay. It's not a big deal, but it's kinda driving me nuts. In the end I'll get over it though.

Road to Glory Camera:

One thing I noticed that (for now) makes me happy, and that's on the camera selection screen there are options for "Road to Glory Camera View."

I liked playing it for a short time, but it got really annoying if I was a QB. It seems like you can pick different player angles.

Camera View:

I played for a short time on Normal, and it was, well, normal.

Then I switched it to Coordinator cam. I felt too far away from the game.

I played the Wide mode, and so far that one seems to the best in my opinion. You start far enough back where you can see the whole field, but it gets a bit closer once the play starts.

The one complaint I have about the Wide camera, is the EA/ESPN bar at the bottom of the screen. It's not "in the way," but it's kind of distracting. Maybe I need to get used to it, but it be nice if you could turn it off.

Lastly, I'm glad there are more camera modes to play on, but ultimately it would have been nice to have something like FIFA has, where you can create your own. I'm almost positive that NCAA used to have that. It would be nice to have that, because a cross between Coordinator and Wide would be amazing I think.

can we start a offensive strategy and defensive strategy thread???

will have to stay away from 4 verts this year seems a lil too easy still, overall really liking this game

# 295 IUxHOOSIERS @ 06/18/13 08:50 PM
i was playing oregon and it was third and goal at the 3 yard line. As soon as Mariotta said hike and got the ball he immediately threw the ball away in the back of the end zone. wtf?

Gotta agree that they fixed the deep passes.

Though, I do have a couple of complaints; but, I'll definitely still get the game:

- teams that run the read option seem to always run it. Oregon only attempted 5 or 6 passes the whole game.
- tackling animations are still prolonged like in NFL '13

Other than that, this game is the real deal. Teams score a ton in the first half like they should, and as the defense takes over and wears the offenses down, the teams don't score much in the second half.

I thought this wasn't going to be any good, but, I will definitely get it.

The defense is covering the four verts on me really well

Just found another broken play possibly... Fake screen Wheel out... #1 on Oregon (guy doing the wheel route) is open uncovered nearly every time I run it... When you can throw for 400 yards like nothing on Heisman level, there is something wrong...

Playing VT/Alabama as VT, and my QB got injured right after a 20 yard pass. Scored on the drive eventually thanks to some key runs, but haven't played defense yet to see if I can top them. Going to switch to a conservative tempo so I can slow the game down and hopefully eek out a close victory. I am playing on All-American.

Loved the defense on both sides beat A&M on a pic 13-10 on Varsity, were those fake names or were they people who worked o the game? Getting big kick returns almost took 2 to the house 1 the opening kickoff, loving the computer actually defering instead of receiving all the time
