Damn you Haumiller! You may have finally done it! Lol!

I literally got WORKED by UM 21-0 and Oregon 20-0 on Heisman default! Had absolutely no clue what Oregon was going to do and could not tell if the QB had the ball or the RB. The option is very well done. Nothing seemed cheap...just got beat.

It seems that we finally have a game that will requiring thinking instead of major slider adjustments, rating adjustments, and house rules.

Really liking what I've seen so far.

LOVE the demo so far. Nothing I can add that hasn't been said already - very fluid, plays so much better, option attack is a blast, etc...

The only problem I had was at point my receiver caught the ball in the open field, only to have the refs blow the play dead almost immediately after catching it. Neither his knee or the ball ever touched the ground. Really sucked.

Despite that, the demo was a blast. Can't wait for the game to come out.

Great demo, and just when I thought I was done with this gen I get sucked back in. And EA of all people to do it!!!

On PS3 the replays are alittle laggy, I don't know if Xbox is the same. Also there was a one handed diving interception that was very unrealistic

no they are smoother on 360 and the play selection on ps3 can be laggy as well,ps3 is also a lil brighter, have both systems an checked out both ,other then that they are pretty much the same

I am as skeptical as anyone when it comes to EA football, but I enjoyed the heck out of my first game. Lost 17-9 and threw two picks where the DB out jumped my WR on a deep ball...both throws were bad decisions on my part. I played All-American for both..but after one game I am legitimately impressed. I skipped last years game, may have to buy this years depending on how I feel after a few more.

The Demo lets us adjust sliders ! Has that ever been done on a demo before? The great thing about this is we can maybe get some good sliders before July 9. The other good thing is I just played a game on default All-American and was amazed at how well it played.

Just lost 21-14 to Oregon
Notes:
I had literally no answer for Oregon's option attack
This is the first time I've lost on AA since about PS2
Got a sideline pick for the first time in a while
Don't like not being able to flex out a TE to 4-Wide sets in no-huddle but I like the new concept ensuring players fill the right position no more TE/WR swaps in Wing sets

Oregon buried me man. I couldn't stop the read option, they picked off my passes, they picked off my option, they hurt my feelings man.

But playing against Bama was fun. I did manage to tip a pass back in bounds to my CB for the INT in that game. Also had a moment with my QB on the read option where his left leg got trapped between two people, but he wasn't down. I tried to fight out of it, but right as I broke free, three more Bama players fell on top of me.

Good stuff. Now, about that Team Builder...

First Impressions - PS3, Mich. (me) vs. Ohio State, All-American difficulty (offense/defense), default everything else (sound/sliders/ect.):

GAMEPLAY: Wow, much improved. The running is slowed down but I feel the weight/momentum of the KR/RB/WR. The passing is tight and the total control passing is very responsive.

Also loving how the extra "feeling of weight" makes it feel to control players on defense.

Animations add a lot to the gameplay this year - stumbling, trucking, stripping, catching, etc.

AI called a good game and actually took a knee at the end after recovering an onside kick to seal the game. The CPU fumbled that onside kick and I had a chance, which made it more exciting.

GRAPHICS: The field and lighting are much much improved - better than any NCAA to date. However the player models still have a grainy texture and are outlined by the slightest of jaggies. Player models not a huge leap over 13, and still not as good as player models in NCAA 11, but when combined with the huge upgrade to the colors, field and lighting, it looks good. Not great, but good. As usual, the cutscenes look great.

Sound/Ambiance: The commentary is just a tad bit better than satisfactory. I liked how they commented on how the game momentum was going back and forth based on the back and forth scoring. The player chatter was a welcome addition. Also I think the crowd noise is improved somewhat. The licensed music really makes the game feel "current." But I was down big late with really no real hope of winning and the crowd was getting pumped up. Not a huge deal, more good than bad in the sound dpt. for sure.

TECH: Pros - Cleaner, lag free menus; fatigue meter beneath players.

Cons - and they REALLY need to fix this - immense lag on the playcalling screen when no huddle is being ran. When I was on defense, the screen didn't come up until right before the CPU hiked the ball - I had NO time to choose my play.

Overall, a very good game.

I'm playing with Oregon now and to start the 2nd quarter, I started to see the stamina indicator. Didn't see it at all in the first game I played with OSU. It just showed up for the first time. Happened to anyone else??

# 239 SteelerSpartan @ 06/18/13 06:29 PM
Im playing on PS3, don't have Gold right now for the 360.

Is anyone else noticing lag with the play selection screen between plays....its getting especially frustrating playing against a No Huddle team. It won't let me move any highlighted players around either before that screen pops up. Whats the deal with this...is this intentional??
