Enjoying the game as always this year but still way too many 2 out bunt for base hit attempts by weird players. Like Miguel Cabrera doing it twice in a game, for example.

Miggy bunting once is too much! Pitchers would be very happy to see Miguel Cabrera bunt

Random angry moments on The Show...When you get multiple double play chances during the game, but never actually turn a double play because your 2b freezes up(figuratively) and doesn't throw the ball cause of the defender sliding near him(but the CPU fielders can run double plays perfectly)

# 844 N51_rob @ 06/14/13 05:15 PM
Lol, my angry moments are now coming from trying to throw an 0-2, 1-2 pitch out of the zone only to see it creep back into the zone and end up being a hit.

# 845 Majingir @ 06/14/13 06:05 PM
lol, an even angrier moment....I spend an entire inning trying to get a run, and when I get it, within 4-5 pitches in the following inning(even pitches out of the strikezone get hit), the other team matches the amount of runs I got in the previous one.

Is there anything better than putting up a crooked number without a base hit?

I just scored two runs in the third as the Pirates at home against Chicago. A walk, a two base error by Samardzija who airmailed a throw to second on a weakly hit ground ball to the first base side of the rubber, and two sacrifice flies.

I want to add an angry moment or two...

The baserunner slowdown is awful. Yes I know you have to preload, but twice yesterday I had slowdowns with runners rounding second on a first to third on a base hit when I couldn't preload because both instances I had to read where the ball was. I had one slowdown with a runner rounding third scoring from second and was thrown out at home, and I even preloaded.

The CPU bullpen management AI is as mismanaged as Madden/NCAA's clock killing AI. It's a crapshoot as far as how the CPU will make pitching changes. It seems a move is not done to create a certain matchup (lefty/lefty). Moves are made just because. The CPU will not bring the closer in the game in the top of the 9th in tied game, IRL that happens 9 out 10 times at least. It's 2013, I think this can be done better by now.

Why does the first baseman have stand for seconds before throwing around the horn? The proper animation is used sometimes, why not all the time?

Why must a manager have sweat stains on the cap or players when it's 50 degrees?

Why must the throwing motions by the outfielder and infielders be so unrealistically awkward? Only just a couple of animations look right.

I love this game, but it seems this year for the first time, little things are really bugging me. Nitpicky things that should be easily fixed or adjusted that just hang around year after year. Like I said before, it's 2013, it should be done better by now.

CPU scored 3 runs against me today on one base hit (single). Two errors, including a dropped fly ball by my CF, led to the runs being scored.

Anyone else have intermittent sound delay problems? The crack of the bat happens after the ball already leaves the infield. If I take a pitch the smack of the ball hitting the catchers glove happens 3 seconds later. It's just annoying.

You might want to try rebuilding database:

http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-database.html

Small stuttering with audio in the menu screen has been a problem with this year's game, but I don't experience it within the game nearly as often as you do. You might benefit from some hard drive maintenance...

Well, I just really hope that MLB 14 The Show spends more time on certain position player movements (graphic wise) and baserunning (graphic wise)

On plays that could be close, or if someone is trying to run to first on a double play ball, why does the player run carelessly without any life? I think making the runner "get his hustle on" and charge like he means it out there. If someone drops the ball when fielding it, why not make the runner start appearing to sprint very hard to beat it out? Like Jacoby Ellsbury and Brett Gardner would do? That would be cool, a new stat for "hustle".

Also, this isn't a big thing but I think the catcher animations are completely dull. They should have more animations because they look like robots. They never move their gloves and it just looks unrealistic. I think there should be more life for catcher throwdowns and just everywhere catcher wise. It is too bland right now.

And why everytime you nail the pitcher in the face with a 100+ line drive in the mouth, they field that ball and act like nothing happened? You should add something where the pitcher doesn't field the ball when it happens and just flat out fall to the floor and have to be replaced.

Please consider these for next year's The Show!!

Also jerseys waving in the wind, we need that

Ohhhh and rain outs, reschedules, and that like would be cool.

Bring back rain weather! And add snow for Minnesota!

After the cutscene is done I get a pop up saying that my SP needs to be replaced yet Ross Detwiler is still in the game even though he charged the mound? Just a minor gripe I have with the game.

I love that the fielders are more alert on higher difficulties this year. I get a hit and my runner on 1st goes to 3rd. As I go to 3rd, my runner over runs 3rd base, the cut off man alertly throws to 3rd and gets a much needed out. I was soooo pissed.
You actually had a player charge the mound? I'm jealous. That's happened once to me in all the years/versions of the Show that I've played.

The diving catches are occuring ridiculously often for me...RTTS, Franchise, etc.

Another couple of things:

1) Retired numbers
It really makes me paranoid when in like 2015, Derek Jeter would for example be retired and someone else on the Yankees is wearing #2. That's nerve racking. You should make it so retired numbers cannot be assigned and in like Franchise mode for example someone retires and you have the option "David Ortiz, Derek Jeter, Tim Hudson has retired and it is in favor of retiring his #___ on the ____ ___ organization. Would you like to retire #___? Note: Nobody else may wear this number in the future."

2) Linedrives hitting the pitcher in the face 100 mph + off the bat. "Oh he's fine." every single time! No, they wouldn't go and make the play! They'd fall down and suffer a concussion! this really needs to be improved because every year this problem continues and its just ridiculous.

3) All-Star games! The people should be wearing their uniform from the team they are representing! Only the HR derby uses the American League and National League jerseys. NOT THE ALL-STAR GAME. Please change this in 14 The Show.

First post in this thread this year, and I can't believe what I saw.

In a cut scene after a triple, the 3B for the CPU went over to talk with the pitcher and then came back to the bag.

Then he held the ball out and tried to get my baserunner using the hidden ball trick!!!!!!!!!!!

That's effing amazing--a real testament to how hardcore these developers are about the intricacies of baseball. It's a real treat to play this game. I'd gladly pay double for it.

That was in last year as well, not a new thing.

I find the game to be much more enjoyable and rewarding using the Analog hitting interface.
