Madden NFL 13 CCM Will Not Allow You to Play Other Games on the Schedule, Only Yours

Because I have been asked about this via Twitter and email so often, I wanted to make sure people were aware.

Justin Dewiel, Community Manager for EA Sports, just confirmed via Twitter (just follow the timeline), if you coach a team, you can no longer play other games on the schedule, only the game(s) on your own schedule.

For example. Rgiles asked if he could coach the Cowboys in CCM, but play the Patriots vs. Browns game.

Justin stated that it is not possible, because CCM is based around you and your character (coach or player).

He is being honest with you, not comedic like.

You can't play different Monday Night matchups or play different teams in your WC or playoff matches.

You can only control one team, whether you are a coach or player.

Call me crazy but I have enjoyed playing with every team. It's what kept me interested. I would switch teams every quarter. For example 1st and 3rd visiting team 2nd and fourth home club. Yeah it sounds like I'm playing against myself and I guess I am but that's what I enjoyed. Trying to get the elite teams to the top of their division and the supposed bottom feeders a chance at the division.

The fact that I can no longer do this is an outrage. I'm now stuck with having one team to play with or go online and fight cheese with cheese. Not very enjoyable watching Cam take a 20 step drop or no huddle offenses which execute a play in 7 seconds and run slant after slant and then mix in a fade. Oh but it's a great new feature you can be a player or a coach, wait didn't they have this last year. Oh wait it's a shiny new feature called connected careers.

You got the answer, you just didn't like that way it was worded. NO! You can only play as one team for the duration of your franchise.

Just dawned on me how their going to appease us on this one. Their gonna add the prow bowl and super bowl stadiums to the play now mode. There problem solved.

Since you can't watch any games it's consistent with the rest of them.

Well then that is your issue. Josh Looman and several...check that ALL the game changers have said the same thing. Currently there is no option to play all franchise games nor can you edit players within the Connected Careers Mode or import draft classes. Looman and EA have stated they "ran out of time"

Pretty much all those posts you didn't bother reading before yours have discussed these "issues" throughly.

Well, if he creates the RB he would be playing "superstar" mode. So I mean he can create the RB and he would have to play as the RB, but he could do it. His question wasn't specific about being a coach or player in that situation.

I don't know why I keep biting. You can make trades within your CCM if you can get teams to agree to some of the deals.

actually he could prolly pull of getting manning to the jets and playing as his rb, by starting as the broncos HC and trading manning. then quitting and creating his rb. just can't play all the games.

Then don't buy if you're dissatisfied with the product. I understand the frustration with some of the lack of customization, but the way people are reacting you would've though Bin Laden rose from the dead and took out another monument. Its a game. We have no idea how hard the Madden team has worked on this game, as a game programmer myself, I know this stuff is never easy. But it seems a lot of people think they know. And instead of following the TOS and using constructive criticism, they just straight bitch about things. That's where people really need perspective

Somebody help me out here because I've seen this a ton over the last week and a half... How come guys are saying that CCM is "scripted". Because you can't edit players? Control more than one team? I don't get it

I think they are referring to the built-in storylines that EA has added to CCM.
