I think that's what makes people angry. The yearly release kills the development of the game. You can call it **.5 because it doesn't change enough or with what people want to see change.

The NCAA games have been subpar and on top of that every year they release the game and there is always something major that needs to be patched so we gotta wait a month for that. Then the patch comes out and it screws up something else.

I just don't understand how we can have a great basketball, baseball, soccer simulation style games yet can't get a good football game from a major company.

LMAO

I guess they didn't like the previous thread so they add "W.I.P" and didn't give us anymore audio.

The ("0" Jump Rating) + ("73-83" Throw Power) = New NCAA 13 Trajectory!!!

There are other things that need to be done to bring it all together to get "Somewhat" realistic manerism's, but the foundation/build still limits what we can do with the editing functions through our consoles.

Of course we shouldn't have to do all this to accomplish any of this, but we're talking about EA's version of Football here!

I'm impressed with your attention to detail.....

And i agree there are somethings that i refuse to give EA credit for because really it's just a simple modified ratings tweak.

For example had EA patched the Jump Ratings last year most people on these boards would have never complained about the Super LB leaps.

Most likely all they really did was reduce the jump ratings down this year making it appear as if they worked on the game in that aspect.

If EA went in and modifeid other ratings like Agility the game would appear as if players are taking actual steps to get from "POINT A" to "POINT B".

DB's and LB's over the last few years could have been edited to react more realistic on pass defense. But the USER shouldn't have to do figure out these ratings it should be the company (EA) that incorporates the proper ratings that translate to SIM STYLE play on the field.

However i believe most of the high impact arcade ratings are released with the game out of the box because we (OS Posters) are the minority.

The Casual gamer the rest of the population who actually effects the total sales of NCAA Football the most doesn't really care if a LB has a 40 inch vertical or 90 agility.

They just want a fast and fun football game.....they aren't going to spend time wondering why defenders don't have to take proper steps on the field to make a play.

i agree ncaa 13 is a ratings adjustment under the hood....with a few animations sprinkled in.

read and react is a DB's with a 25 in pursuit in ncaa 12...

ncaa 13 is going to be ncaa 09 all over again.i hope they balance it somehow..

i look at ncaa 13 as one or two less edits i have to do but it will still need work....

You guys are amazing. You know all this based in 3 minutes of gameplay videos and still have not played the game. Awesome! ...yes, that is sarcasm.

People talk about FIFA like it's the holy grail for EA sports games. It's more arcadey than any other EA sports game out. Yes it has footplanting but there is no momentum which allows players to turn on a dime and the AI is horrible.

That is really what I want to see, the AI. As an online dynasty player I want to see IF the CPU can run multiple offenses.

That is my biggest problem with these complaints. They judge on short video clips that are probably made way in advance that show an old build and judge the game harshly without even playing it or seeing the final build. Talk yourself and others down all you want, but I for one will not be talked down and will be waiting July 10th for UPS with my game

I am excited for the game and I see your point, but if these clips are old builds not representative of the final product, then that's EA's fault. What else are we supposed to do on a message board except discuss and critique the footage EA gives us to preview? Maybe some people are being overly harsh, but if we are to assume these clips aren't close to the retail product in important ways, then we shouldn't bother with them at all. The only thing we can base our opinions on is what EA shows us.

For sake of conversation, what do you think will change from that version and the final build? Sir, if you think something drastically will change from that video you may want to lower the expectations. If you liked what you saw in that video, you will like NCAA '13 because thats it. I don't expect to see too many game changing things this late in the game.

And if this is an old build, why not label it an old build? Or why not show this video when its still the "newest" build?

no one is trying to talk anyone out of buying the game...thats not my concern...

this old build argument is non sense, this is the third year i have been hearing this " work in progress" "early build" stuff..the game is always the same when released...

who markets a product and believe they will be buying a completely different product, so you are saying i wont be buying what i am seeing, so why are you showing it...

my beef is with the AI, if ea had better AI they would show it, dont tell me that they have better AI but in this early build they are marketing they choose to show crap.....

its never personal its just a critique of the product when you have a bad record you dont get alot of slack...

Well they did label everything WIP - "work in progress". So they pretty much did label it an old build. Whether or not much will change is anyone's guess.

For me, I thought that the latest/previous videos on 13 are not overwhelming, but they certainly are promising. The game won't be perfect (bcuz no game is) but the videos do point towards gameplay being improved & more realistic. I really hope that EA just takes out the Defensive/Offensive Adjustments feature...Pass/Run Committing, Auto ball stripping, and jumping snap counts is absolutely gimmicky & belongs on NFL Blitz. Though its not mentioned alot, that feature alone, has lead to quite a bit of NCAA disgust! I stopped playing in the lobby bcuz of it, & banned the use of it in my OD. EA would NEVER put that on Madden!

To me, that's not realistic and is a play that can be exploited. I'm all for throwing guys open, but it should be part of the designed route combination. You can't call a Go pattern and then decide to throw a slant or corner route and expect the WR to react to that. Throwing a WR open, to me, means you throw the ball before they are open and lead them to a certain spot.

I also didn't like how on the Option Read play that the DE crashed in (that was good), but never changed direction once it was established that the QB had the ball. He should've peeled back and tried to go after the QB instead of just continuing to chase after the RB.
whats funny is when they said 'leading a player to space' and then showed the play art, i was sure Robinson was throwing to the post route guy on the left, because thats where leading the receiver is needed most. But instead he just inaccurately throws to a guy on a go route.

After watching again. I think they need to just slow the animations down a little. The animations look good, but they aren't "blended" together as nicely as they could be. The DB back peddles then quickly turns to run with the WR. There is nothing wrong with it, it looks correct and there is no sliding or anything, but he should be a little slower in that transition. He goes from back peddling to full sprint instantly. There just needs to be that slower transition to get to that sprint. I want to see players try and gain speed.

I am not expecting too much, many times I have said I am excited along with 57% of the people according to the latest poll. I am not nitpicking every little thing I see in the video due to the fact games do play different in person then through video. Maybe it seems the same, maybe it is, but you have no idea until you play the game yourself. Until you play a few full games or heck even a full game, you can not declare its the same thing. MLB the show 12 3 min videos will look like mlb the show 11 videos UNTIL you actually play, then you see how beautiful the ball physics are.

Technically 68% are excited in the poll if you count the top two categories (that percentage has been rising over the past few days) and you just have to deal with that fact that some people just will never be happy.

Its possible that these quick clips have been planned for weeks. That's why they are a WIP.
