Don't quite know what to think of the video. I mean they were in the "Big House" and couldn't even show us crowd reactions?
1. Glad to see the DE actually biting on the option. I've tried to play with Army and their option heavy playbook so many times, but the option is so broken in 12 that I end up switching their PB to a more pro style.
2. The read and react defense looked good on those pass plays. It seems the CB did the right steps.
3. Those Maryland uniforms. Yum.

lol at the DB guarding the "A" button receiver at 29 seconds. They got rid of psychic DB by creating dumb as rocks DB

Option looks good but then again it worked in '12 (or was that '11) fine before patches broke it.
It was nice to see routes working though. I much rather see Part 3 of that Oregon/USC game. I trust the GCs when it comes to the pass trajectory stuff. That AI option though is a big gameplay question I'd like answered.

Noticed the "W.I.P." banner across the screen this week. Maybe they heard how frustrated we all were from last wks video clip.
One thing that I noticed in the vid that I didnt like that was in NCAA 12 was the run blocking especially on the Option play. I dont like it because every Olinemen is able to get to the 2nd level WAY TOO easy which leads to big runs.
I think it is programmed that way so the the CPU RBs can have good runs because they wont use their special moves

Definitely like the catch and run during the "Lead WR into space" segment.
So you want him to be perfect?

Not impressed. Nothing about it jumped out about it and made me say wow. Tackle animation is the same......OL/DL interaction is the same. Nothing about it says NCAA 13 to me at all. Might as well just call it NCAA 12 with patch #5.
Kind of funny, that diving catch they have in the intro, is the same diving catch they bragged about last year, however I never seen the CPU do it at all
With every video they release, the less excited I get.
I just don't get it. It suppose to be over 400 catches and over 100 tackle animations in this series right ? Well why do I see the same handful of tackle and catch animations over and over again ?
Game play videos are suppose to get people hyped up and excited about the new release. This year, they having the opposite effect.

I can agree with you if the offensive lineman aren't very good, but that's the point of the zone read play. The linebackers have to hold for a second to see who gets the ball and this gives the lineman time to get to them. Usually when the zone read is blown up it's by a defensive lineman shedding his block really quickly or a linebacker shooting the gap.

Looks to me like they fixed a lot of the things I hated about passing. Arrow/post/post-corner routes NEVER worked previously, same with bubble screens, and those are things that are run all the time in real life.
Also, keep in mind that these videos are probably shot on the varsity setting. If you have an issue with the AI, play on a higher difficulty. Personally, I liked what I saw. Hopefully they put dual-numbers in the game this year, but I'm not really expecting much.

Looks fine to me my biggest gripe last year was the LBs and CBs doing super human things and that looks fixed now so I'm happy.
