And the delay only happens when you do a lazy/careless pass or when you pass with a defender right in the passing lane.
I did notice it seems to only happen when passing in traffic....i never wanted to pass to an open man, and it not happen due to delay.

even so, I can see why some dont like...apparantley neither did 2k....it wont be in retail.

so you are saying if a player has a low block attribute 2k makes up for it with a slow annimation, seems ok. im saying i cant move, my player was frozen caron butler isnt a stiff, after the slowed annimation he did attempt a block but only after LBJ passed in the air. when there was no threat of blocking the shot he had a quick jump , perfect timing slow annimation. but time will tell.

Yea I hope the perimeter defenders are a lot better at it also, but none the less the game is going to be amazing

No what I'm saying is that if you are back peddling it is harder for a defender to jump right away for a shot block. I definitely know Caron isn't a stiff, he is one of my good friends.

Here is what I'm noticing about lead passing. When I lead pass away from the basket, sometimes the defender gets a speed boost to catch up with the offensive player. I'm going to have to adjust to that this year. Maybe throw some more directional passes.

The passing delay has happened to me every time I've passed the ball no matter when it was. I'm glad it was confirmed that the delay is not in the retail version.

Double teaming Wade or James?

When you have two guys on one, that leaves another open..

Chalmers was always open for three when I first started playing, but i'm slowly learning how to play better, he doesn't score on me anymore at all.

That will be different in the retail version. It looks like the help D slider is cranked to the max. Also in the retail we will be able to adjust the D.

I dont "attack" anyone for their opinion, good or bad, who cares? but I know the difference between people giving feedback and people with an agenda.

You (trying to potray your username I guess) are the one in these threads saying everyone is jacked up on hype or saying the game is perfect (even though youve yet to give an example of this). Can you disagree with me? The "View recent posts" option doesnt lie, lol
like i said i was responding to another persons post. i have read countless posts saying they are hyped about the game, thats not hard to find. hell, im hyped.

i came in here to talk about blocks. find my first post today or any of me being negative or rude in a post, were i come out of the blue and just start attacking people for being hyped. you cant find it.

just cuz someone doesnt think like you, you find some way to make them into being negative or complainers. but if they think its flawless you have no problem w/ that. from what i have seen, even if you think 2k isnt perfect you still respect their opinion even if they insult people who disagree. smh

Maybe people defend the game not because they have some sort of hidden agenda, but because the game is good. I'm one of 2K9's fiercest critics, for instance. I think that game is borderline trash with the crazy warping that goes on even when you're just trying to get to a certain spot on the court. 2K10, however, was a great game, 2K11 was the greatest basketball game ever released, and 2K12 is shaping up to be that much better than even 2K11.

Caron is the reason i still play the demo from time to time. my fav mavs player.

i mean im not back peddling or anything im in perfect position and the botton i press just triggers a slow animation. id rather see a foul if i turbo block an opponent, nothing about that says aggresive block at all. if im some what body'n the ball handler and attempt a block w/ out power its cool if i get that annimation cuz its a contest, but then whats the difference between auto contest and Y button only then?

Huge 2K fan! Played the demo once, but wasn't really blown away with the few control tweaks. For example, can anyone tell me how to hop step, now (PS3)?

Anywho, it usually takes a bit of adjusting before I'm acclimated and fall in love. Never fails. I look forward to spending some time on the demo this weekend.

# 1235 Pared @ 09/23/11 03:48 PM
You're trying to defy the laws of physics, gravity and just plain old reality if you're back peddling and expect to be able to jump forward and accurately contest a shot to the point of blocking it.

Basketball - not video games.

# 1236 CX1329 @ 09/23/11 03:54 PM
How do you perform flick-flick moves? They've been happening at random for me. Sometimes I can pull them off, sometimes I only get a pump fake.

Anyone managed to do a running spin shot when driving across the paint out of the postup position? I manage to do the hooks, floaters and fades but for some reason can't spin.

# 1239 sleepyshotta @ 09/23/11 04:04 PM
I've spent several games guarding every position, at least 10 each, and I've been able to defend everyone on MIA fairly well, which isn't saying much, because I am an elite defender when it comes to guarding CPU controlled players, but I can see why a lesser defender would complain. Now I'll just have to wait and see how well the game allows us to keep with users just exploding from side to side.

reread 24, i clearly stated find a post today OR ANY POST! smh post a screen shot of my recent posts they arent negative. i stated many times i like the game and demo.

you said "view recent posts dont lie lol" today is recent. nothing is stopping you but the truth. just continue to bash others and deflect it, like they are the attackers.

cynical is just ascreen name. do you have arms like jax,no. what ever The 24th Letter means is that how you wanna be judged in every aspect of you or your posts, no.

im sorry i could have pm'd this but based off The 24th Letter posts i only call out posters and post negative nagging comments that attack fourm members. and thats incorrect.
