It IS on the PS3. My little brother was playing last night and shot a three at the buzzer that was too close to call. The refs went to the scorers table to review it and while they were reviewing a replay came on the screen so that we could see what the ref was seeing. The replay pauses itself when the red light comes on. The shot didn't count but I was shocked that 2K went to such lengths to make this so realistic. My jaw was on the ground in awe.

Ha, I just made LeBron look stupid with Rudy. Made him go one way with the size up moves, went the same way, then quickly spun and blew past him for an easy layup. I don't know if this could happen in real life, but with there being no plays, it's all fair game in the demo.

My only issues with the demo are:

1. The passing and lead passing is still there. You cant magically make a player move in a unreal speed burst to an area.
2. Rebounding still seems to be more about vertical than actually boxing out. (im scared for players like david lee)
3. the double trigger defense is a little too fast. I can sidepedal faster than the ballhandler with jason kidd.
4. Off ball contact should be upped to stop lead passing

The demo is bannanas lol! I just realized after going through all these 4 min. quarters but did anyone notice how in 2K11 the jump shot release would sometimes change depending on the animation type but you never new which one your man would do. Basically most players probably had two different releases you had to master. In this demo you can "feel" the timing of the jump shots for all situations fadeways, pullups, running, set shots gathers whatever. Even Marion who had a rediculously quick shot release last year has a more realistic one this year slightly longer

The other thing I picked up on the same thing can be said for free throws. 2K11 had some players who had releases you had to hold longer than what the animation looked like on the screen. Every player's animation with the mav's in 2K12 seems to be tied to the release that you see IMO. To follow up on the FT shooting I noticed that D Wade doesn't shoot his FT's at the same distance each time. Some are closer to the line than others. Did 2K put this in as a realistic variation lol? I have never paid attention to something like that before because I have never purposely tried to send someone to the line to get a bench player in. I am on the 360.

For your 4. I think there is always going to be some lead passing but I don't think you will be able to exploit repeatedly like in 2K11. The CPU is stealing attempts when I try it. Also what I noticed between the demo and what I saw in that Celtics vs. Clippers video, the CPU was more physical with cutters in that video, in the demo they are not doing that as much from what I can see. I wouldn't be suprised if the setting we are playing on takes some of it out or it could just mean that they didn't fine tune it for the demo.

Damn this game animates beautifully. Replay button is gonna be used a LOT

Heh. Pulled the chair out on LeBron. Easiest fast break score I've seen yet.

And, I know it's not a huge new thing, but I'm loving the new layup and under the rim shot anis. And I don't even mean the mid-air/collison adjustment ones. Just the regular unabaded ones.

Like Dirk did a layup that looks just like something a 7 footer not bothering to jump as high as he can would do.

Man oh man. The 11 days or so won't pass soon enough.

i like it, the game plays smoother, animations feel better, Presentation is a beast, but it gets boring after playing with the same 2 teams over and over again...

This demo keeps impressing me over and over.

Love the AI (decisions, head fakes, pump fakes, mid air adjustments... i can go on and on, but i will save it for the retail impressions) the improved court graphics and faces.

I played 2k11 all year, but this demo shows how polished the game will be. Last year, 2k11 demo did not impressed me one bit, i was dissapointed, although the actual game played much better. But this demo is everything i expected and more.

I didn't get to see a replay on the 360 when I had gotten a shot review. I wonder if that's a PS3 only thing.

It actually seems like the PS3 and 360 versions were worked on separately this year. I find it weird that there are things on the 360 that are missing from the PS3 version and vice versa. The PS3 version looks great this year, aside from a few missing things, it's incredible.

No it doesn't seem fair because it's nearly impossible, therefore it shouldn't be in the game, or almost never occur.

Agreed. These guys are seriously the hardest working guys in sports video gaming. EVER.

I commend every single one of them and send my gratitude for making this remarkable piece of art we call NBA 2K.

And I mean that.

Thanks, 2K Development Team. Real talk.
