I just hope the option plays work out. Because at this rate it seems like Nevada's pistol is going to be hard to run. Hopefully the LIVE update fixes that
Yea I haven't been able to "give" on the read option out of the pistol...
My first game was easy, I played FSU-Bama as FSU and won 14-0. However, when I started playing as Oregon at Texas, I noticed 2 things that may kill the game for me. One thing was that I wasn't able to flip run plays, which is nice when you see the entire defense shift to the left side and you decide you want to run to the right. The 2nd is a problem from last with the Passing icons dissappearing after 5 seconds, causing me to have to press a random button since I can't remeber who's who and throw 2 picks. A lesser problem that won't be in the full game was the lack of instant replays. Other than these, I actually loved how the game played and thought it was a nice touch to add all the different game sponsors.
I pre-ordered this morning and I have to say I like what I've seen from the demo.
Everything seems more well-balanced than any football game I've played before. Some things need tweaking but the retail version should be more polished in the gameplay department.
Just played both side by side hooked up via 1080p displays (HP 2509b and the Vizio 47xvtsv-tried each on both sets) and IMO they're not even close. The 360 is far and away better - I wanted to get the PS3 version this year - I normally like the sound processing on the PS3 more so (DTS) than the 360. The effects at night are completely different - at Texas statidum, you have the lights illuminating reflection off the stadium, beams of reflection eminating in the upper parts of the stadium lighting, there are multiple fans taking pictures, everything is anti-aliased MUCH BETTER - this is especially noticeble when looking at the numbers on the back of players and close-ups of the mesh on each players respective jerseys.
The PS3 has a VERY few fans taking pics, though the players and the field are more colorful on the PS3 - somewhat more cartoonish to a degree than the 360. I like the overall look on the 360 much better - you'll be happy with either version, though in the DEMO ONLY the 360 has a much more more smoother appearance and tends to have more detail sparsed throughout - the fans on the 360 look a little more higher resolution - for that matter, the 360 for whatever reason seems to be playing at a higher resoution than the PS3. The PS3 looks like an earlier build than the 360.
The differences are more noticeable when playing the night game with Oregon and Texas - daytime not as prominent. The PS3 oversaturates whites more so than the 360 in this game - played on the same input with the exact same settings. Don't fret PS3 fans, I like the gameplay of the PS3 better and the sound is much more clearer than the 360 - so it's not a one sided affair - when you consider the intangibles. If you only have a PS3 you are going to love this game.
tired of trent richardson breaking 60-80 yard runs on me every game, granted it is on heisman, even though i'm in a 4-4 or 46 defense. hopefully it is better in the full game. also i like to play as a DL and i dont quite get why he just falls to the ground every other snap...? and alabama's OL pancakes the whole line about every other run, pretty frustrating
The biggest part that I see needing to be adjusted has GOT TO BE the DBs running the routes better than my own recievers & often ahead of my Wide Outs...I thought I was just missing the seperation or something, but I'm obviously not the only one with this issue by looking at this forum....Seriously, what is going on with that....?...Hope the Devs pay attention...
No matter what, I'm still happy cause it's football time...!!!
Played my first four games of Heisman tonight, went 4-0.
Alabama 21, Florida State 0
Alabama 17, Florida State 7 (absolutely ridiculous TD run for them...ran over my LB immediately after landing from a hurdle, then spun off my SS)
Florida State 7, Alabama 0
Florida State 10, Alabama 0
Nothing too ridiculous outside of the lone TD run for FSU. Was able to shut down T-Rich for the most part except for one 15yd run.
I'm on Live silver at the moment, so I just got the demo last night. Played one game as Texas against Oregon on AA. LMJ destroyed me and I ended up losing 21-6. I enjoyed what I played. While the game does look similar to NCAA 11 in terms of in-game presentation, it does have a different feel when you actually play. The removal of suction is definitely noticeable. OL/DL interaction and zone-coverage improvements are evident, as well. Overall, looks like another solid and fun football game.
I really don't get how this feels the same as 11 to some people...
What don't you get about it? The gameplay feels and plays the same to alot of people. All we have to go by is the demo, and that will make or break a purchase.

I disagree big time with that statement.
The demo is 2.5 months old and according to some people that have the game already, the game is much better than the demo, plus 1st day patch, plus tuner sets in the future.

Play 11 with default sliders and play this Demo. They feel way different.

I understand where you are coming from, but in this case, the demo is not what you should go off. In years past, maybe, but not this year. The demo is so old and pretty much everyone with a retail copy has stated just how much better everything is.
Also, go play NCAA 11's demo, then this demo. If you still think they're the same game, then you probably just don't want to see the differences.
