NBA Elite 11 OS Exclusive Video: Milwaukee Bucks @ New York Knicks

NBA ELITE 11 is back with the first of two gameplay videos featuring 5 on 5 action. This video is a user vs. user matchup with NBA ELITE Gameplay Producer Novell Thomas taking on NBA Community Manager Yaw Obiri-Yeboah (also known as blackflash83 on the forums) . The game is being played on a Pre-final build with some tuning left to do but it provides a good representation of how the game will play once you developed your skills with the new Hands-On control.

Be sure to check out some of the quick plays being called during half court offensive sequences (press X on the 360 to begin a quick play or the Square button on PS3) and the importance of playing the passing lanes as balls can get deflected. You have complete control this year in NBA ELITE 11.

I can't say that I'm impressed. All I can say is I could be a fun experience. But, I'll have to wait on the demo to judge.

I'm not sure what you mean by that but what about the video we saw shows their claims to be true? Maybe you can say the video wasn't long enough but the presentation and feel in that game is almost absent.

I feel the same way. My girlfriends always wanted a wii, should I go that route and buy a whole new system? I can't see myself giving more money to EA, this product is far from worth it, imo.

I knew that their main focus was to play the game from a different angle. This confirms it since this is more of an official release of footage.

Im Not Going To Jump The Gun And Say The Game Sucks Ill Wait For The Demo To See How It Plays And Feels Seems Like The Devs Were Playing A Bit Scripted....Seen A Easy Fastbreak Pulled Back To Run A Play And Miss The Shot.

I Already Knew The Graphics Would Take A Backseat This Year And They Would Focus On Gameplay I Thought They Stated That Tho?...

The Offball Movements Are Smooth
The Pace Seems Realistic
The Post Game Improved
The Commentary Seems Dull

Here are my comments:

The commentary was great to be honest if you ignore the dull moments. It's a refreshing one compared to 2K although Jeff Van Gundy's not that enthusiastic with his commentary.

The player movements were nice although I feel like the AI is a bit slower to respond/ react in the game. I really like the randomness although the animations were a bit stiff.

For the most part, I liked it. I just wish there were more exciting moves to see. I'll just wait 'til the demo arrives.

Can you guys please keep comparisons of 2K or "that other game" out of this thread! Like I said before, any comparison is not only off-topic, it's based on total ignorance. The only person on this board that has even come close to playing both games is Da_Czar. So, if that's not you, talk about Elite here and go to the 2K board to talk about 2K. It's not that hard.

My only problem with Elite is that, IMO, NBA Live 10 was the first time in a while I could say that the game improved from one year to the next. Then they say they're building a brand new game. I think they should've just added things to the Live game and improved what they already had laid down.

WOW, I'm very upset, I think the game looks worse then ever, I mean LIVE was building a great foundation on what they did last year, only little things needed improvements, it's like they just forgot about last year and made this mess called elite. Very disappointed EA.

Exactly how i feel. I felt they were on the cusp. Played at least 300 games on NBA Live 10. Now, i'm just disappointed.

Concerning the gameplay and nothing else, what concerns me is that there isn't anything going on that makes you really appreciate this new direction EA has taken. In fact, there are a few instances where it looks extremely awkward. I actually enjoyed Live 10 and felt if they could loosen the animations up and correct ball physics the game would play out nicely. Especially with the great job EA does with team play, the Live series was fun to play.

4real what I wanted them to improve from 10 was the footplanting, locomotion, post up, and more sigs. I'm still gonna try the demo but the vid look dull, I'm kinda sad cause I have a feeling there gonna get killed In sales smh will see what happens.

This was the most uninspiring gameplay footage. Players move stiff, and they hardly do anything on offense (off-ball). I thought I was watching a PSone or early PS2 basketball sim. I wonder what Live and 2K has to offer. This game will not be close to competing with them.

With a complete animation overhaul this game should be quite solid.
