NBA Elite 11 News Post

NBA ELITE 11 is back with the first of two gameplay videos featuring 5 on 5 action. This video is a user vs. user matchup with NBA ELITE Gameplay Producer Novell Thomas taking on NBA Community Manager Yaw Obiri-Yeboah (also known as blackflash83 on the forums) . The game is being played on a Pre-final build with some tuning left to do but it provides a good representation of how the game will play once you developed your skills with the new Hands-On control.

Be sure to check out some of the quick plays being called during half court offensive sequences (press X on the 360 to begin a quick play or the Square button on PS3) and the importance of playing the passing lanes as balls can get deflected. You have complete control this year in NBA ELITE 11.

Noshun , I think you need the actual disk for you to be able to play Nba Jam. EA thought about this already before they made the game.

If they didn't want anyone to discuss the video then they shouldn't have released it. The things people are talking about aren't even nit-picking issues, they are fundamental prob;ems that this game seems to have.

I am waiting on the demo to give a better judgement and some news on sub patterns and dynasty mode.
Im also one of the few that liked it. Call me a fanboy or whatever. But I have said some of the negative things that I didnt like about the video. But it wasnt little nit picky things like "the players who dont have the ball on offense and are cutting is not looking at the ball". Things like that you wont notice if you are playing the game.

I only pointed out things you would see if you where playing the game because that is how I looked at the video. I mean if you are playing the game you cant and dont have time to watch every little thing the ai does off the ball weather its your teammates or the opponent.

That kind of attitude is what keeps EA Sports games so boring. The little things are what keep the game fresh and interesting to play, and I'm not talking about extremely little things like the color of a stripe on the court or if a headband logo is centered but having players move like they move in real life and look towards the ball like they are people helps with the immersion.

You are right. People do have the right to talk about the video. Most posts that are negative are about how bad the animations look, player sliding, etc. Thats ok even though the same thing is been said about it over and over. But i seen some people say the players dont bend their knees when they jump and things like that. That is definitely nit-picking

Coming from a Live player (i have Live 10 and 2K10 which is collecting dust)...i'm not really impressed with the video so far...kind of disappointed really. Not liking the graphics, player models and movement etc. I'm at a point i am trying to find reasons to like the game. I would like to see a broadcast cam 5-on-5 gameplay and ofcourse try out the demo. Any word when the demo would come out? I'm hoping it's fun to play like Live 10.

That was about a 100x better than those first videos. (EA can thank them for alot of missed sales this year, they were that bad)

The players looked in control most of the time and the off the ball movement looked good. The jumpers were pulled off in very smooth transitions.

I think those first leaked videos killed this game for alot of people however, and this just isn't enough to bring em back.

I was n an EB games the other day and the guy said 2K was DESTROYING Elite with preorders. I don't think they have a chance to come close to 2K sales this year. I hope they don't pull the plug on a sim style game after this year, but I think heads are going to roll over at EA.

Dont get me wrong. I want a video game the looks like you are looking at a game in real life but at the same time we are talking about a video game.

I keep coming back to the post about players not bending their knees when they jump cause that was the most outragous one i have seen. But when you are looking at players jump irl you dont notice them bending their legs because thats not what you focus on.

I have said that what most are saying are things you can clearly see but when you talk about the jumping thing that cause you are looking for something negative to talk about.

When you look at these videos try and look at them as if you are playing the game. Not as if you are looking for something to criticize and critique

Well if they require you to have the disk, then i'll get it from a friend that buys both games. But as long as I have the 1-time code for free, Im good.. no money outta my pocket there.

Defense still sucks. Game looks like Live 10 in every aspect!

to sit here and defend it all day wont change the hearts and minds of sports gamers like myself

save your breath and go convince EA that players shouldnt slide...and refs should move ont he court...and players should bend their knees when they jump....and people shouldnt hopstep 5 feet,...

and all other types of weirdness that seem to occur in an EA basketball game.....talk to EA not The Gamers
Well, sliding you can find in other sports games...
