MLB 10 News Post

V.3 is finished and is currently up on SportsConnect under the name of "strut24v3done". Please remember to vote thumbs up to the file when you download, so any impostor files aren't mistaken.

This version has everything in v.2 PLUS RAZR's pitch and stamina edits and strut24's stance/delivery updates. ALL stances/motions are done as of June 11. Anyone called up after that, has not been added yet but will be added to my IN SEASON thread. So guys like Joe Martinez, Enrique Gonzalez, Daniel Nava, Justin Ruggiano etc have NOT been done yet. Here is the link to the In Season thread: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...s-rosters.html

Here is a Word document of all the changes that strut did to the rosters: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ml24bf

What is going on with the file now, you ask? JaSnake is working on v4, which will include updates to the stock SCEA players to update current real life performance. There is no ETA at this time for that file.

Here is HustlinOwl's Franchise File, which is for users that want a 30 team user controlled franchise file: http://www.mediafire.com/?okncwnj2wnm

Here are RAZR's slider suggestions for these rosters. These sliders may help users who are having issues with USER VS CPU IN GAME stamina.

Quote:
For those who don't mind changing sliders use these for what I believe to be the fullest experience of the stamina edits

USER
Pitch control 1
Consistency 7

CPU
Control 5
Consistency 3
Strike Frequency 0
Manager Hook 4

and
Starter Stamina 5
Reliever Stamina 0 for both user and cpu

For those that prefer to stick as close as possible to default use these suggestions that SoxFan posted

Starter Stamina (User): 6
Reliever Stamina (User): 3

Starter Stamina (CPU): 7
Reliever Stamina (CPU): 5 (default)
Manager Hook (CPU): 3

I just realized that I worded that horribly. lol I absolutely love this set. I can't express enough gratitude for the hundreds of hours that were put into these rosters this year. If someone had a charity to donate to in their name or had a paypal account I'd definitely express my gratitude their way!

hey Ja, can you add the guys I mentioned in the Word file I sent you and then let HustlinOwl release the FRANCHISE file for us? It was Lamb, Carlos Maldonado, Scott Strickland, Angel Sanchez, Brian Sweeney

To the people that are trying out v4, do you feel v4.1 would be a better option, or is it ready to go the way it is? (I know it's a bit early to form an opinion, but when you do I'd love to hear what people think)

I donno. The stamina has caused such an issue. Most major league pitchers can easily throw 100 pitches. Just look at the stats. The top 20 guys in both the AL and NL for pitcher per start are all over 100. That means at least 40 pitchers average over 100 pitches per start (my stat source only shows the top 20 for each league) and probably around 50 or 60 average at least 100 pitches per start. I am struggling to see a CPU pitcher throw 100 and a lot of people on here can't seem to do it either.

i think you right on this because i see cpu pitchers throw around 85 pitches and get pulled.

I just played a game. Vs porcello I he had 70ish pitches in the 5 inning, he gave up two straight hits and got pulled. As much as I love v4, I'm gonna wait for 4.1 and see how that plays.

I just played an Exhabition game on All Star No visual cues meter pitching.
I played the Yankees v Phillies using the v4 rosters.

I lost using Sabathia 3-2. C.C. had 114 pitches through 8 and 94mph fb
in the 8th. Unfortunately I hung a change up to Rollins and he hit the 3
run homer that beat me and gave Halladay the complete game win. He threw 94 pitches and I struck out a lot. 13 to be exact. Swung at
everything he threw practically.

Anyway point is in the first game I played using thse rosters both pitchers
went 8 innings and one of them got the CG.

One exhibition game on all star level does not a sample make but I thought
since stamina was an issue I'd post my 1st game results.

I have been playing a franchise with v3 pitch edits, the strut24 version,
and I haven't noticed cpu pulling pitchers too early. From now on I will
pay more attention but for me I regularly get my starters to the 7th.

You have to try and use a guy with lower stamina then CC (i think hes a 200 inning guy every year).

alright guys played the first exhibition w/ v4...i really don't see some of the complaints w/ starter's stamina...the problem all along is the relievers and how they are used...anyways everything played beautifully in summary...used a couple starters in the match-up that differ in stamina as well out of curiosity...

CIN 6 10 1
BOS 5 7 0

L, Beckett 5 in, 88 pitches, 8 hits, 5 r, 5 er, 2 bb, 7 k
W, Volquez 7 in, 101 pitches, 6 hits, 5 r, 4 er, 1 bb, 8 k

gomes 2-4, HR, 3 RBI
phillips 2-4, 2B, BB, RBI

youkilis 3-4, RBI
ortiz 1-3, HR, BB, 2 RBI

bed time lol

Sorry... I meant that I was currently using V2. Now..... I have yet to download V3 or V4... Is it worth it since I'm currently using V2 or should I wait till this V4.1 ? I read somewhere that another Version.. I'm assuming V4.1 , will be out sometime in the middle of July with a more current roster(not opening day) with V4 edits. Should I wait for that one.. or not worry about it at all?

Hey guys, I'm kinda new around here. Was just wondering if there's anywhere I could download the updated rosters on to a zip drive? I can't connect to the internet on my PS3 at the moment so I need to know if someone has posted them for download? Thanks for any help!

Try reading every single thread in every single forum where that question has been asked every single day, every single week, every single month since this game came out.

Hint: Try the sticky's.

I'm sure that the other poster was a lot of help to you , but one place you can find a file to DL is the first page of this thread. There is a franchise file there that you can use. I'm sure someone posted just the roster file somewhere as well, but I'm not sure where it is at the moment.
