MLB 10 News Post

V.3 is finished and is currently up on SportsConnect under the name of "strut24v3done". Please remember to vote thumbs up to the file when you download, so any impostor files aren't mistaken.

This version has everything in v.2 PLUS RAZR's pitch and stamina edits and strut24's stance/delivery updates. ALL stances/motions are done as of June 11. Anyone called up after that, has not been added yet but will be added to my IN SEASON thread. So guys like Joe Martinez, Enrique Gonzalez, Daniel Nava, Justin Ruggiano etc have NOT been done yet. Here is the link to the In Season thread: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...s-rosters.html

Here is a Word document of all the changes that strut did to the rosters: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ml24bf

What is going on with the file now, you ask? JaSnake is working on v4, which will include updates to the stock SCEA players to update current real life performance. There is no ETA at this time for that file.

Here is HustlinOwl's Franchise File, which is for users that want a 30 team user controlled franchise file: http://www.mediafire.com/?okncwnj2wnm

Here are RAZR's slider suggestions for these rosters. These sliders may help users who are having issues with USER VS CPU IN GAME stamina.

Quote:
For those who don't mind changing sliders use these for what I believe to be the fullest experience of the stamina edits

USER
Pitch control 1
Consistency 7

CPU
Control 5
Consistency 3
Strike Frequency 0
Manager Hook 4

and
Starter Stamina 5
Reliever Stamina 0 for both user and cpu

For those that prefer to stick as close as possible to default use these suggestions that SoxFan posted

Starter Stamina (User): 6
Reliever Stamina (User): 3

Starter Stamina (CPU): 7
Reliever Stamina (CPU): 5 (default)
Manager Hook (CPU): 3

Its late but OK up it goes.

OS-FM V4

All thanks to Knight, Ridin and KSig for providing us the template from which to go on.
Mr Franchise and co. for the face work
Thanks to Strut and crew for the great job on stances and accessories
Thanks to Razr, Pope and crew on the pitch edits
Thanks to TD - all the hard work and simming
Thanks to Bahnzo - for the great roster tool

Included is everything that was in V3 plus the majority of SCEA players (hitters and pitchers) rerated using a 3 year average (07-08-09) generated from the Roster Tool application developed by Bahnzo as a base. Ratings are then modified to reflect this years performance as best as possible. Some SCEA players were not touched due to lack of any strong sample set in MLB.

Mods if you can sticky a new thread that would be cool for feedback.

Hope everyone enjoys its in roster vault OSFM V4rerates.

I have been waiting patiently but the last straw for me when someone said it would be out tonight. What's the deal. I know there has to be others kinda mad about tonight. Don't blast me for this post. I am not the one that set us up for disappointment again. If you say it's coming out tonight then get it out or don't say anything. I want to see the rosters play out nicely as well and i do appreciate the effort those involved has been doing for us. I think the wait is making me crazy.
By the way, typical Red Sox fan LOL

No unfortunately I did not add any of the 3 missing players to this roster being that I was desperately trying to get this to you guys before I passed out lol.

That Jason Vargas (SP Mariners) is rated horribly. Despite a 2.66 ERA in 91 IP. Otherwise they look good to me.

what would you give him?

# 515 TheRunAndShoot @ 06/26/10 03:39 AM
His k/9 def needs improvement as does his clutch. He also has a higher swinging strike % than Johan Santana.

EDIT: In 366 changeups 22% have been swinging strikes.

You have to keep in mind, the rerates took into consideration the 2007,2008,and 2009 seasons. For several guys (like Jimenez) this season's stats may have been taken into consideration. My guess is that Vargas' numbers weren't that great in previous years, thus the lower rating. Just my guess.

These rosters are just unusable. I just hit a home run with Casey Kotchman. lol

This is a total joke. Thanks for the the rosters guys!!!!!

You're right 08 he got hurt, 09 he started off just like this year but had some issue and just got lit up right before the all star break in Colorado and was never the same.

There are still some issues with stamina. CJ Wilson has 107.64 pitches per start, yet when he gets to 80 in the game, he has NOTHING left in stamina. This is with the slider at 5 for starter stamina.

And this is in the first game I have played with these. I will play some more and see what else happens.

Otherwise, these are ****ing awesome. Thanks a ton guys, really great work. I really appreciate it!
