You can't say Cutler's not that bad, and then leave out the stat that makes him that bad.

All the haters like to conveniently leave out the 27 TDs to make him look bad, as bad as he was at times, he still had good moments. As bad as the INTs were, he still had more TDs (albeit by one, my point remains.

urlacher may not have missed a lot of games but he's always dealing with injuries and hasn't played up to his expectations since the SB appearance. cutler is a slightly above average quarterback at this point in his career. with a very unproven cast around him (i'm as big of a aromashodu fan as the next guy). IMO and the way we have been programmed since before our teenage years, a 77 is slightly above average which means madden expects the bears to finish somewhere between 7-9 and 9-7...
You might want to check those stats again, he had a down 08 season I agree, but he did better in 07 than the Super Bowl appearance year, or is 20 tackles really worth more than more sacks, picks, and PDs?
I'm not arguing that the Bears won't struggle at times this year, especially the offense trying to learn a complicated system, but Martz is a stickler for the little things and as you know, a good chunk of Cutler's INTs can be blamed on his mechanics regressing, recievers running the wrong route, and running for his life. The former 2 I guarantee will be improved by Sept 12, if Tice can make the O-line into something stable, I don't see how the team won't finish around 10 wins.

Why are the Jets so overrated? They were LUCKY to even make the playoffs last year. They were a 7-7 team that couldn't beat divisional rivals at home. They beat a bad and equally overrated Bengals team, then had a GREAT win at San Diego, then played a solid 1st half at Indy before folding and yet they are now expected to win it all? Even EA is buying into the Green hype machine but they are backing the wrong green team.

Kevin Kolb will lead or be right underneath Brees for leading the NFC in TDs.

Eagles deserve at least an 84-87. Cowboys won't beat us twice again next season. Giants still can't touch us and the Redskins with our leftovers are a continuing joke.

Besides the Saints, who has a better offense than this in the NFC:
Kolb, Jackson, Maclin, Avant, Celek, McCoy, Weaver
it's like i stumbled onto the the eagles message board with this post lol.

Better offenses, um saints, vikings, cowboys, probably the giants, falcons, and packers.

Kolb is unproven and no way in blue hell he throws more TDs than Romo, Rodgers, Favre and Sheli Manning. Not to mention dear old McNabb, improved Cutler, Matt Stafford in his second year, and Matt Ryan fully healthy.

Defense, upgraded? Umm, not at corner, one new LBer who was shipped away for a 5th (because of the system but still), although Stew is coming back (woot) you have Fokou starting, BGraham hopefully will be something and Nate Allen will be starting at S.

And if you can't see that the Jets made it to the championship game and only got better then idk what's wrong with you.

I won't touch the upgraded QB remark.

But the panthers lost key players from their team like peppers. Also, they have a big question mark on the most important postion in football, QB.

And Rodgers and Ryan were proven prior to 2 seasons ago? Kolb started 2 games last season and played terrific. I know one of those games was against the Chiefs but the other was against the Super Bowl Champions.
The defense will be much improved only b/c it can't be worse than last year.

But basically you are saying the Eagles have one of the worst offensive teams in the NFC? Huh? Falcons & Cowboys will score more points? The only thing missing is McNabb but we upgraded there.. And Westbrook wasn't healthy for 3 seasons but McCoy did more than fill in last year.

you're being ignorant. no they hadn't played much either, but ryan was supported by a top 3 RB and was mediocre (16 TDs) anyway. Aaron Rodgers was a phenom, but either way, it's ignorant to assume that Kolb will come in and be better than those guys right off the bat or worlds better than McNabb was last year (3500, 22 TDs in 14 games). The defense last year finished in the top 15 (12th I think) there's A LOT of room for decline. I'm not saying they have one of the worse, but talent wise there's no reason to think they'll be better (Cowboys - romo, witten, austin, barber, jones, choice, and bryant) and the falcons with turner, gonzalez, white, and ryan with turner being the key. McCoy was average at best last year. I didn't see anything great from him.

i don't care about stats, i've got my two eyes. jay cutler has never had a winning season... i don't know why you think i'm commiting a crime by saying they will be average lol. its not their year this year if they win 10 games they will have outperformed themselves and i will be ecstatic. if they finish with 6 wins they will have underperformed. thats the definition of the middle of the pack NFL team. and as of now the bears are the 3rd best team in their own division. mark my words 7-9 wins this season.

He did have more TD and could had even more but he throw half his ints in the Redzone that's the most in two years, and if your gonna blame the team around him know that the lions went 0-16 and still had less giveaways in the redzone as a team then cutler's did throwing ints.

I do thing this year he will have a better year but i don't see him excelling until Chicago adds a wr that can produce on consistent basis.

Go Bills I am not worried about our 69 overall rating. Last year on Madden 10 I made it to a level 30 online playing 98% of the time with my beloved Bills. That was w/o a spiller type back. I never used T.O. anyway. So I will not bitch and moan over these preseason ratings.

The Colts should be rated higher than the Saints. The only reason NO is higher is because the coverboy is from them. Colts are the best in the NFL. Saints wont win 12 games next year.

You seem to have forgotten that the Saints beat the Colts by double digits in the only meeting between the teams last year.

Yeah, playing a team and beating them in the biggest game of the season makes absolutely no difference in determining who is the better team. Hilarious.

Is this guy's sig serious? How can you be a Patriots AND a Colts fan? That's like being a Yankees and Red Sox fan or OSU and Michigan fan. On topic. Look for the 49ers to be a pretty nasty team in Madden this year. Lot's of speed on defense and Vernon and Crabs will be unstoppable.

# 196 Uncle Way @ 06/14/10 08:37 PM
Redskins should be an 80(at least) just based on their defense...

My Ravens are the 3rd best team in Football. I'll most definitely take that to start the season, but when we're in Dallas, best believe we'll be number 1 next year. Joe "Montana" Flacco got a Superbowl MVP to receive in-game and in real life. Chea'!

I'm pretty sure that even though the Ravens are stacked and have my favorite back (Ray Rice, I saw him many times in Rutgers Stadium in person)...I don't think that whole SB thing is going to happen. Harbaugh will get it done, but I don't believe next year is the year.
