As a Rams fan living in Baltimore im split here on one hand the rams are way too low we should be a 70 at least but the Ravens are really getting their due for their improvement

Ravens rated @ 90 is fair assessment with development of Ray Rice as impact player and Joe Flaco's continue development and addition of Boldin. The defense will be muched improved with the additions of Sergio Kindle ( steal of the draft) Mt Cody and sleeper pick Arthur Jones (Syr) to tie up lineman and let Ray Ray do what he does best Blow UpPlays. If a corner emerges in training camp,This is team that has the potential be dominate for years to come.

Yeah I have no problem with these ratings. As a Jets fan, the Ravens should be ranked higher than us. We have to remember that we were like 5-7 at one point in the year, and you never know how these FA acquisitions work out. Plus Flacco and Boldin could be a great duo (although Revis wouldn't let him touch the ball ).

I am just praying that this Jets team doesn't dissapoint like every time they are hyped up before the season. Then again Rex Ryan says this is a different team, and I believe him.

I do like how they kind of slid the ratings down a bit overall. There should only be a couple of 90 OVR teams. I wish they'd use the bottom end of the rating scale a bit more. Then again, this league is so tight in competition it's hard to know where teams will legitimately fall.

Plus, there's a lot up in the air regarding Matt Hasselbeck's health, and I ain't sold on Charlie Whithurst at all. Speaking of offense, Housh isn't the #1 reciever like his contract might suggest, and Deon Branch WILL get injured again this year (he ain't all that good anyway. He's just a waste of space). And unless Lofa Tatupu and Marcus Trufant stay healthy, the defense will suffer. IMO, it's San Francisco's division to lose. Now, will they lose it? Yes...
Hope you aren't taking my reply as homerism because there was nothing to it... I completely agree with the ratings, we have a lot show before we get respect in the ratings. Im saying they look great as joke, because I know they will be tough to play with, but will still be fun to rebuild them in a chise down the road... they have on paper a solid group that shows promise over the last few seasons, and will improve in time, not right away. thats all

Niners should be in the range of 81-83, 79 is a little low.

JAY will only get better with mike Martz come one it is like they don't follow the NFL and if a team doesn't make the playoffs they are horrid
77 Doesn't actually qualify as horrid. Jay Cutler threw 26 INTs last year, their leading rusher only ran for 929 yards and 4 TD's, and their leading WR was Devin Hester with 57 catches and 757 yards, while Greg Olsen lead in TD catches with 8. Their offense hardly can be called spectacular.

The defense is sub-par at best, only bringing in 13 INT's total and Lance Briggs led with 118 tackles, another great year from him but no one else really did anything. No one knows how Urlacher will play this upcoming year and Julius Peppers isn't the same Julius Peppers.

So you're complaining about a 77 rating? Hell i'd feel lucky if I was a Bears fan

Philly is going to see the error of their ways by the end of the season. DeSean Jackson is going to be completely unhappy with Kolb at QB and while the running game will probably thrive, we all know the Eagles are pass happy. It's gonna be a long year in Philadelphia.

New coordinator or not, it's still the same guys on the field playing. The WR core is in complete SHAMBLES. Devin Hester as a number 1 is not good for any team and Jay Cutler can be good when he wants to be, he's just a loose cannon is all.

And my comment about Peppers was based on how he played last year. 42 Tackles and 10.5 sacks. A good year for any DE but compare Peppers to 2008 where he had 51 tackles and 15 sacks and again in 2006 where he had 60 tackles and 11 sacks. Maybe a good change of scenery is just what he needed.

The point i'm trying to make here is 77 is not an awful rating by any means, just look at the Bills and Rams overall. 77 is for a moderately good team, which is what the Bears are.

from 1st glance at these, I find flaws...I don't care how good a season the jets had they cannot be better than the Patriots (Leaving my opinion aside)

how do they even come up with this stuff, are these ratings some calculation of the rosters overall or something cause it doesn't look like it takes into account why some teams had bad years or others had good years (Jets)

I love reading thru ratings threads.

# 113 Lava @ 06/05/10 08:22 PM
77 is fair for the Titans, although I was hoping they'd be closer to 80. Hopefully they can prove they deserve to have their ovr bumped up on the field in real life this year.

# 114 Timbo177 @ 06/05/10 08:48 PM
only 85 for the chargers? what the heck??

Based on what?

77 is about right IMO for the bears... cutler really isn't that good, the best receiver is devin aromashodu not devin hester and i think DA will turn a lot of heads this year but still... hopefully forte will bounce back from a terribly disappointing year last season. the defense is falling fast lol, i find it funny how people are saying with urlacher back this year the defense will be better, its the same thing i heard people saying last year lol urlacher is made of glass and will be hurt within a few games. briggs is still a top OLB but thats about it and peppers is aging fast really won't be much of a factor (nice of the front office to tie up like 6 years in him ithink lol)

tillman at this point in his career would be lucky to be a good teams third corner and he's the bears best corner lol... he's very good and i love him but he doesn't have the speed to stick with anyone anymore.

bears offense will have to carry them to a .500 season and IMO they are rated properly for that in madden.

You saying the Vikings werent AT LEAST the 3rd best team last year?
The facts say that Minny was 9-0 last season at the Metrodome, but only 4-5 anywhere else. They won one road game all year over a team that finished with a winning record, and lost three games to teams that finished with losing records. None of that screams "AT LEAST the 3rd best team" to me.

The Vikes were (and are) a good team, but they also benefited from an extremely favorable schedule in 2009.

The Vikes also went into New Orleans and pretty much dominated that game minus our 985 fumbles.

Vikes should be at least the 3rd best rated team, if not the 1st or 2nd highest.

I love to use the Ravens online cause that is my home town team. But with them rated so high, I may feel guilty using them this year. I think the rating is spot on though.
